I have many fond memories of my granddaddy Steve and grandma Priscilla visits to Pelham, GA to visit us as we grew up as children. I especially remember the huge feast that granddaddy always cooked prior to his departures. I still have the letters that were written and I share them with my kids. I will always love you and you will remain in my heart forever.

Granddaddy Steve is what we called you; it has been a great joy and honor being your granddaughter born of your daughter Mary Helen. I will dearly miss visiting, talking and laughing with you but I’ll never forget you. “I Love You Granddaddy Steve”

Like Pam, I too remember with affection and fond memories the visits to New York and New Jersey to see G'ma Priscilla and G'pa Steve. I have not seen him in a very long time, but my memories of him will always be of a tall, handsome, mild-mannered man.

My family and I are truly saddened by what has happened. Grandpa Steve was such a wonderful person and will be truly missed by the Johnson Family. Even after our grandmother Priscilla passed away, he still welcomed us into his home with open arms. He was a wonderful kind sweet man, a great grandfather, stepfather and friend, and will be truly missed. From Robert, Darlene and Nicole Johnson

My heart was truly saddened and broken when I heard of Grandpa Steve's passing. Though he was my Step-Grandpa I never thought about the "Step", just my "Grandpa Steve". My visits to NJ to visit him and Grandma Priscilla were delightful. Even after Grandma Priscilla's passing we were always welcomed with open arms. I will truly miss him and his kind, warm, loving ways.

To Steve, thanks for your kindness and pleasant manner. Even though you were not my real grandfather, I still treated you as one. I thank God that I was able to stop by and see when I could. It really saddened me to find out about your passing. Yet your are in a better place. A place of peace. Now you can rest, peacefully. Love your grandson, Keith J. johnson
