To William ,you know that no matter how many years go by between the times we see each other,as soon as something happens in either of our families,we show up for each other.I didn't get to know Wendy very well, but, the one thing that I do remember about her is when we were ther when your mom died she was such a pleasure to be around and did everything in her power to make us feel comfortable ,and the one thing that I connected to at that time was her spirit. So my heart weeps for you and your daughter. You,David and Cutty will always be my brothers and Mimi is the only little sister I'll ever have,so always know that I love you and will always be there for you as you have been for me.

Dearest Bill, Ebony and family.
Let me begin by expressing my condolences to you. Wendy will be sorely missed by all. She was truly a tower of strength, fortitude, and grace before our eyes. Her warm spirit will always be remembered and celebrated. You have such a good example in the life and legacy she left behind. Truly she fought a good fight and kept the faith. The scripture says there is a crown laid up for her and not only for her but for all who love the Lord's appearing (2 Tim.4:8). We cannot bring her back to us, but we can go to be where she is. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8). Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him will I trust. Psalm 91.
Remember in these times, God is too wise to make a mistake and loves you too much not to feel your pain. Trust in Him always and know that she has completed her journey and the King of Glory has prepared for her a place where she may dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Wendy at the Family Center. What I remember about her most was her stylish presence and her humility, she was definitely "Miss Classy". To the Hadley Family, I met Wendy at Stockton in the early 80's you could see her smile a mile away it would light up the halls of Stockton. She always had a kind word to say. Our path crossed many times over the years. She never changed. I thank God for all the wonder talks we had about Stockton, our families, jobs and most of all about God. She was an Angel on earth and now she is an Angel in heaven looking down on her loved ones. She has touch so many lives sometime just with her Smile. Thank you for sharing her with my family. To The Marshburn and Hadley Families:
Words cannot express what I am feeling down on the inside when I read the obituary about my friend Wendy. Bill, Ebony and the rest of her family, my sincere and heartfelt condolences and prayers are extended to you during this time of bereavement, but this is also a time of rejoicing. I know you hearts are heavy, but you are rejoicing because she fought the "Good Fight of Faith" and she's now resting in the arms of the Lord.
Wendy and I met and became friends while attending Richard Stockton College. She was such a jewel. She would do anything to help you. I will always cherish the memories I had with her when we were college class mates. Our class was very special. Many long-lasting friendships came out of that class.
Bill, I remember when you and Wendy first started dating. She loved you and Ebony so much.
Always remember: "To Be Absent From The Body Is To Be Present With The Lord." She is your Guardian Angel now. Continue to keep the faith and be strong, especially for Ebony, as I know you will.
If I can be of any assistance, please do not hestitate to contact me.

Bill & Ebony,
Wendy was AMAZING!...I was so very blessed to know and love Wendy. We once spoke of being anxious, then discussed and read Philippians 4:6-9...Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethen, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; it there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. After reading the text, Wendy said to me in her sweet, gentle voice..."please, read it again" and of course, I read it again.
