Donald Tucker Obituary



TUCKER, DONALD, 67 - of Atlantic City, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - City Campus. He was born May 5, 1941, in Atlantic City to Louise Tucker. Mr. Tucker attended the Atlantic City Public Schools including West Side, Central Junior High and Atlantic City High School. In each school he excelled in athletics. He gained recognition as a kickball and speedball player and was an outstanding member of Atlantic High's 1956 Football Team. After high school Mr. Tucker went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Upon his return to the area he worked as a caddy at the Mays Landing Golf Course until his retirement. Donald was predeceased by: mother, Louise Tucker Barnes and step-father, Lew Barnes. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Anthony Tyrell Pitts, sister of the heart, Adrienne Hunter; cousins, Carrie, Margaret and Dorothy Spence and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, October 20, 2008, at Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9 AM. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing.
