Christina Lovisone Obituary



LOVISONE, CHRISTINA (NEE CANOVA) 91 - of Vineland, passed away on Thursday in the Cumberland Manor after being in failing health. Mrs. Lovisone was born in Reading, Pa. and as a child of a mining family moved to Nova Scotia where she was raised as a child. Christina has resided in Vineland since 1935. She was the daughter of the late Maria (Fregone) and Joseph Canova, wife of the late John Lovisone who died in 1995 and grandmother of the late Steven Lovisone. Christina was a homemaker and longtime member of the St. Isidore's R.C. Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Christina was a full-time mother and grandmother and was a wonderful, thoughtful and caring mother and grandmother. She is survived by two children. John and wife Sandy Lovisone, Vld. Diane and husband Lewis Mehlinger, Vld. four grandchildren: Andrea and husband Bob Garton, John Lovisone, Jessica and Joseph and wife Annie Mehlinger. Six great grandchildren one sister: Julia Meneghetti, Vld. Sister in law: Tootsie Lovisone. Brother in law: Aldo Lovisone As well as several nieces and nephews. Her funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday in the St. Isidore's R.C. Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland, where relatives and friends will be received from 9:00-10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walnut Rd., Vineland. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation "Research Fund", 8301 Professional Place, Landover, MD 20785 or to the Cumb Manor "Activities Fund", 154 Cumberland Dr., Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
