Barbara M. Riordan

RIORDAN, BARBARA M., (NEE HENDERSON), 77 - of Ventnor, passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Queens, N. Y., Mrs. Riordan attended the local school system and graduated from High School. Married in New York to the late Raymond William Riordan, she has been an area resident for more then 40 years. Mrs. Riordan loved the shore and the boardwalk and particularly enjoyed bike riding on the 'walk. A country and western music fan, she loved Randy Travis songs. She was a great family person, enjoying family get-togethers with her children and now her grandchildren. Mrs. Riordan was the life of any party and will be sadly missed. Mrs. Riordan is predeceased by her husband and her son-in-law Bob Johnson. She is survived by her children; Betty Viola (Michael) of New York, Kevin Riordan, Kathy Spence and Jimmy Riordan; grandchildren Ricky, Becky, Donna, Theresa, Alfred as well as Chris Spence (Rochelle) and Mikey Johnson, both of whom she raised. Also surviving her are; her brother Jimmy Riordan; sister Anne Arnold, extended family members; (Uncle) Frank Johnson (husband of the late Joanne Johnson), Patti Morgan, Florence Spence and George Hoyt "Peanut."
