Joan Beatty Obituary



BEATTY, JOAN M., 77 - of Mizpah, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 3, 2007. Born in New York, she migrated to Mizpah with her parents at a young age, attending school in Mays Landing. As an adult, she attended Medgar Evers College to further her education. Joan was employed by the U.S. Post Office in New York City for 23 years. She continued her community activities in Mizpah after retiring. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Charles and son Neddy. She is survived by two daughters: Jacquelyn Tennant and Charlene Beatty; six grandchildren; three nephews, one niece, and many relatives and loving friends. A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007, 11 AM - 12 Noon at St. John AME Zion Church, Sewell & Church Sts., Mizpah. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park in Mays Landing. You have my deepest heart felt sympathy goes out to you and your family at the of your sorrow. It was a pleasure to work with your Mother on the NAACP Commitee where I got to know Mrs Beatty, she was a great woman. She will truly be miss from the Committee and all of her long years of hard work to help the community to be a better place and a safe haven.

Be encourage and be of good cheer your mom is in the heavens encouraging you to live on.
