Clifford Alexander Obituary



ALEXANDER, CLIFFORD, 72 - of Atlantic City, passed away quietly at home on Monday, November 5, 2007, surrounded by his family. Born on an Indian Reservation in OK, Mr. Alexander was raised in Porterville, CA and settled in the Atlantic City area. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force with the Military Police. During his working career, Mr. Alexander had been the Director of Hispanic Affairs/Community Liaison for the Atlantic City Police Department, a Casino Executive with Harrahs and Caesars and an Entrepreneur as a private business owner. He enjoyed horses, horse racing, casino gambling and had a particular fondness for Jazz. But the love in his life was for his family and "his Island" Puerto Rico. Mr. Alexander is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Maria (nee Feliciano) and her son Alejandro Alexander Feliciano (David Hirsch), his children; Ronald of Pleasantville, Donald of New York, Rodonna of TX, Patricia and Vincent of Atlantic City and Merry Hawkins of Absecon; his sisters Clair Watters of CA and Dorothy; his brother Elwood; mother-in-law Isabel Feliciano Soto of Pleasantville; 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other in-laws and friends. The Funeral Service for Clifford Alexander will be conducted 7:00pm Friday evening November 9, 2007 at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. Friends may call from 6:00pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to: The American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon 08201.

Cliff you were my adoptive step-dad. There to guide & support me, there to listen, and always there to help! You bailed me out on several occasions, and I am so grateful for all that you and your family have done for me! I will miss you Cliffy. Rest in peace friend. You will always be in my heart!

Clifford and I were like brothers growing up. Some people thought we could be twins. I have nothing but fond memories of those years. I am so happy that I was able to see and talk to him before he passed.

I am so sorry to hear about your lost. My family met Mr. Alexander back in the 70's. My mother had the upmost respect for him. He was a caring man that was always willing to help those in need. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Alexander, Alex and the rest of the family.
