Carl,
Jill and I would like to express our heartfelt condolences. We know you were close with your dad. Take comfort in knowing that he's now forever with his dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My fondest memory of Carl will be the way he made me laugh. The ability to do that is a wonderful gift. I always enjoyed talking with him.
Carl will be sorely missed, yet he will forever be remembered as a mainstay in Cape May.
I think I speak for all the guys in the Lemon Tree Coffee Club when I say, “Here’s to you, Big Guy! Rest in peace.”

God Speed to you Carl. Growing up in Mayfair, going to St. Matts and North Catholic were happy days. Gathering with the guys at the candy store at Rowland Ave and Wellington Streets was a trip to remember. Last time I saw you was when you completed Boot Camp. My family's prayers are with you.

The memories start about 66 years ago, when you moved to the 3300 block of Chippendale Avenue.
Even then, you were tall; I was, let's say, "vertically challenged."
Our turf included the Victory Gardens, the Poor Farm and the Pennypack Woods.
Your driveway was a neighborhood highway to Kanes Market; our parents knew each other well.
You, Don and I walked the long mile to St. Matt's School -- back and forth at lunchtime and again at the end of the day.
We went separate ways in high school; but we stayed friends.
You thought that you were tough when you joined the Marines; and maybe you were. You hated it and often wished that you did not have to take that bus back to Camp Lejeune.
You needled me when I joined the Corps, albeit offering solid support when no one else was listening.
Life's a blur; I saw you only once in the last 50 years or so. Has it really been that long? There are so many memories.

Well a long time ago childhood friend has gone home to be with our Lord. I thank Gerry St John another friend from that era for bringing this to my attention & it brought back fond memories of those days in Mayfair. My sympathies to Carl's loved ones
