Leona Kaminski Obituary
KAMINSKI, LEONA ROSE "Tweety", 63 - of Atlantic City, passed away Monday morning November 12, 2007 at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Galloway. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Kaminski had been an Atlantic City resident for 58 years. She retired, after 25 years of service, from the Golden Nugget Hotel/ Casino. An exceptional and dedicated employee, Mrs. Kaminski always arrived at work long before her scheduled time. She enjoyed her job and her co-workers. A kind and open person, "Tweety", as her friends affectionately called her, loved to make people smile and be happy. She gave to any and all who needed and was an animal lover as well. All who knew her loved her and became her friend for life. Leona Rose is survived by her loving son, Joseph Rechten with whom she lived, a daughter Mary Alice Rechter of Somers Point, her granddaughter April, her brother Leon Kaminski and many, many friends. The Funeral Mass for Leona Rose Kaminski will be Celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, California and Atlantic Avenues, Atlantic City. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass. Arrangement by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City.

Leona was always the first to ask of and show concern over my son with cancer. She always made me and everyone else in her company feel special. She had a quick humor and there was always so much fun in her presence. I will miss her greatly as will the rest of her friends.
