Carmella Niceta Obituary

NICETA, CARMELLA A. (nee Matassa), 83 - of Blue Anchor died Monday at home. Born in Blue Anchor, she was a lifelong resident there. Before retiring, Mrs. Niceta worked as a sewing machine operator for Modern Clothing Company in Hammonton. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, and the Winslow Township Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred P. Niceta, Sr. She is survived by one daughter and son in law, Barbara and Joseph Carlamere, Sr. of Blue Anchor; one son, Fred P. Niceta, Jr. of Hammonton; three sisters, Antoinette Villari, Lucille Amoriello both of Hammonton, and Marie DeRosa of Devonshire; five grandchildren, Joseph Carlamere, Jr., Kevin Carlamere, Jason Carlamere, Jennifer Niceta, and Michael Niceta; and five great grandchildren. A viewing will be held Friday 7:00 PM-9:00 PM at Parish of Blessed John the Twenty-Third- Church of St. Lucy, 250 S. Route 73, Blue Anchor, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Parish of Blessed John the Twenty-Third Memorial Fund, 250 S. Route 73, Blue Anchor, NJ 08037. Arrangements by the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
