Frank Maione Obituary

MAIONE, FRANK (FRANCESCO) 71 - of Mullica Township, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at his home, with his loving family present at his bedside, to be with God in Heaven. He was born in Amantea, Italy and came to this country with his wife, Michelina on January 4, 1967 and has since resided in Mullica Township. Frank loved the sport of soccer, which he shared with the community, as he volunteered, coached and refereed local Mullica Township teams. He also kept himself busy with weekend house projects, where you could see him driving around the county often helping others. He learned many of his handsmenship by working at the local boatyards, Pacemaker and Ocean Yachts. Most recently, he worked at the Mullica Township School, from which he retired last year. Frank was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3500 of Egg Harbor City and was a participant in the annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Procession. He was a loving and caring man - husband, father and grandfather, and his favorite pastime was spending quality time with his family. Frank is survived by his wife, Michelina and their children, Elizabeth Hesse, Brigitte Walters, Giovanni Maione and Ralph Maione. Also his grandchildren, Timothy, Michael and Michelina Hesse, Brandon and Nicholas Walters, Maria Maione and another grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind his beloved children-in-laws, Timothy Hesse, Sr., Gary Walters and Angela Maione (Merlock) and soon-to-be in-law, Heather Masino. His viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2007 and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Avenue, Egg Harbor City, where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609) 965-0357. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Society for Deaf Children, 3820 Hartzdale Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011, www.deafchildren.org For condolences and/or directions, please visit: www.wimbergfuneralhome.com

Santa Claus with only a moment's notice! What a sweet man! He is now remembered in lots of pictures with Santa from last year's Christmas program at the Spragg school. I'm so pleased to have finally met Mr. Maione after knowing his wonderful family. Let all of the small ones share in memories and stories about their grandfather.

Dear Maione Family, I adored Frank, At school I only had to ask once and he always helped in an instant with a smile on his face! He always looked so handsome in his Knights of Columbus Uniform at church and posing for photos with our children after every 1st Holy Communion! We will miss him greatly! You have our deepest condolences! Sincerely, The Seney Family

With deepest sympathy and prayers for your peace. Frank has a warm spot in our hearts - with many memories of his active love for and support of our kids as a Knight and greeter of the church; a coach and "teacher" of the game of soccer on the Rec field; and, of course, as a constant smile through the hallways of Mullica School. We will miss him.
