Frederick Shaw Obituary



SHAW, FREDERICK T., 76 - of Atlantic City, passed away quietly on Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Atlantic City, Fred and his wife both worked for Jos. Soltz Paints for many years before retiring in 2005. Both were active members of St. Michael's Church and made many friends over the years. Fred enjoyed walking the beach and boardwalk, working around the house and watching his Sunday football game. He loved and enjoyed being around his family who will treasure the wonderful memories he left to them. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Amelia (nee Toscano) and son John Carcilli of Las Vegas. Fred is also survived by three brothers and four sisters; Joseph and Jennifer Shaw of Brigantine, Edward and Madge Shaw of Sicklerville, Francis and Carol Shaw of Ventnor, Catherine Hicks of Philadelphia, Jane Williamson of EHT, Patricia Maccagnano of EHT, Joan and Bill Pitt of EHT; sisters-in-law Rose and Tom McGeary of Egg Harbor City, Millie Renze of Atlantic City as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews who will remember "Uncle Fred" with much love and respect. The Funeral Mass for Fred Shaw will be Celebrated 10:30am Monday, November 26, 2007 at St. Michael's Church 10 North Mississippi. Friends may call from 9:00am at the Church. Rite of Committal will be offered at Greenwood Cemetery, Pleasantville following Mass. Arrangements by Gormley Funeral Home LLC.

To Fred's family,
Knew Fred from the early 50's in the Inlet. Saddened by his passing, he was a nice man who I got to see & enjoy his personality in the paint store in later years!
