Howard Foster Obituary

FOSTER, HOWARD E. 84 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2007 in the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center - Mainland Campus in Pomona, Galloway Township. Born on June 28, 1923 in Atlantic City, he was the son of the late Daniel D. and the late Gertrude R. (nee Smith) Foster. Mr. Foster proudly served his country in the 1060th AAF Base Unit in the United States Army during World War II, and he was the recipient of the WWII victory ribbon, the EAME ribbon, the American Theatre ribbon and the good conduct medal. He worked as a chief stationary engineer, and he was formerly employed by the Atlantic County Government and with the Ventnor school system. Howard was a member of the Shore Fellowship Church in Egg Harbor Township. He is survived by his wife Florence (nee Carr) Foster of Egg Harbor Township, his children Jeffrey Foster of Mays Landing, Toni Hudson of Somers Point, Gregg Foster, and his wife Denise, of Egg Harbor Township and Rebecca Tyndal, and her husband Shane, of Florida ; also survived by his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside committal service with military funeral honors will be held on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM, in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery at 109 State Highway (Route 50) in Estell Manor, with the Reverend William Warner officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Howard's name are respectfully requested forwarded to the Shore Fellowship Church at 1049 Ocean Heights Avenue in Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
