I wish to express my sincere condolences to Carman's family. I met him through his sister, Luann in 1994, along with the rest of his family, and I am glad, to have known all of them. They are all an asset to this society. It is very rare to meet, people who give so much to others, but ask nothing in return. I am not surprised that Carman gave the ultimate price for his beliefs. He was a true wonder of his time. May all who knew him, and didn't know him, appreciate the act of becoming involved, when few seem to these days. He is a true hero!

From the bottom of my heart, I offer my love & prayers to your entire family. Officer DeGregorio was truly, in every sense of the word, a hero. the world is a much better place because of him and others like him. Unfortunately, there are not many people, in this day & age, that would do what he did to save someone else's life. Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for a friend. From what I've read of him, he was a wonderful man and considered everyone his friend.I am not in your shoes and, therefore, cannot imagine what you are going through but I do know that a man such as he was is truly an outstanding human being. We are all blessed, whether or not we knew him, to have had him here with us. May God bless your family and give you comfort and peace.
