Clifford Spooner Obituary

SPOONER, CLIFFORD HOWELL, JR., "TICKER" - of Little Egg Harbor, passed away Thursday, November 29th, 2007 at Sea Crest Village. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he was a resident of the Hamilton Twp. and Crosswicks areas for many years before moving to Little Egg Harbor 20 years ago. A graduate of Bordentown High School, Clifford was a WWII US Army Veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps and the Signal Corps. He worked in the insurance, property management and real estate field for many years, serving as president of the Whitehorse Agency in Hamilton until he retired in 1982. He retired from New Jersey Housing Mortgage Finance Agency as a Senior Housing Management Officer in 1991. Clifford was a member of the Crosswicks Friends Meeting. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies Fan. Son of the late Clifford H. Spooner, Sr. and Margaret and George Powell; he is survived by his loving wife, F. Patricia Spooner; his daughter, Barbara and her husband Robert Weaver of Lancaster, Pa ;his daughter Robin and her husband William Cramer of Burlington; two step-children, Gregory Imbroglia and Christine Smith; three grandsons, G. Bradford Weaver, Joshua A. Weaver and his wife Andrea and Eric C. Cramer; two step-grandchildren, Nancy Rickett and John C. Rickett as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday December 8th, 2007 at the Crosswicks Friends Meeting House, 15 Front St. Crosswicks. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave. Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834; the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702 or to the Crosswicks Friends Meeting, PO Box 456, Crosswicks, NJ 08515. Arrangements under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
