Touch My Soul
I know that You are always here,Watching over me.On days when struggles come my way,Your strength will protect me.But in my heart I feel so lost,So confused and afraid.I don't know why my hope is gone,With me I know You've stayed. The joy and peace You fill me with,Is hard for me to see.I feel such sadness fill my soul,It's taking over me.There is a raging fight in me,I'm starting to feel beat. The evil one is hard at work,I'm feeling O so weak.I won't let Satan rule my life,I will not let him win.I need Your help Lord, rescue me,Please take away this sin. Please fight this battle for me Lord,And send him far away. Then give me all the strength I need,To fight him off each day.I am unworthy of Your love, Your mercy and Your grace.I don't deserve to be Your child,Or feel Your sweet embrace. But when I'm weak and loose my way,My eyes so filled with tears. Please reach down and touch my soul,And show me that You're near.I know that I will fall again,So keep reminding me.To hold on tight and not let go,When struggles come to me.Help me to never turn from You,Fill me with desire. To love You Lord with all my heart,Set my heart on fire. You are my strength when I am weak,You help me carry on.You are my friend through good and bad,Though others may be gone. You are my eyes when I can't see,You turn my life around. You are my feet when I can't walk,I'm safe on level ground.Thank-you Lord for the air I breathe,You're the reason I live. All my days I'll offer You praise,My all to You I give.
My HopeGod gives me hope through the hardest of times,Wherever I am on me His love shines.I may think for a moment that things won’t work out,Then my heart fills with joy and praises I shout. He won’t let me down; I’m safe in his arms.No matter the storm He’ll keep me from harm.Doubt and confusion may cloud up my mind,But God takes my fears and hope I do find.He gives me meaning and makes my skies blue, When I feel Him with me my heart feels so new.He washes away all my doubt and my fears,And then wipes away all my sad tears.God gives me joy and fills me with hope,Even on those days when I just can’t cope.He said that He’d always be by my side,And when I feel down in His arms I can hide.So next to my Father is where I will stay,I feel so safe; I will not run away.I’ll call on my God in good times and bad,And He’ll fill me up even when I am sad.God gives me hope and He takes my sad frown,He’ll never leave me; He won’t let me down.So although my life may seem hard right now,My Jesus will get me though it somehow.
So many struggles we do face, they knock us to the ground. It’s sometimes hard to get back upand face the world around. But my dear friend you need to knowthat God is on your side.He loves you and wants you to runinto His arms and hide.I wish my friend that you did knowthe love He offers you. That you would turn to Him right nowand He’d help you get through.I wish you knew that there was hope, that joy can fill your soul. That He is waiting for your callso He can make you whole.Dear friend if I could have one wish,I’d wish for you God’s love.I’d wish you‘d open up your heart,to the Father up above. No other wish would be enough, for God is who you need.I promise you He really caresand His love is guaranteed. My friend there’s nothing better thanto feel God’s awesome love.So if I could have one single wish,I’d wish you God above.God hears our wishes when we pray,He knows my wish for you.And every single day I’ll pray, that my wish will come true.
Child of God

Life is filled with challengeseach and every day.Frustrations get the best of meif I don’t take time to pray. But when I stop and talk to GodHe heals my broken heart. He holds me close and tells methat we’ll never be apart. For I am His and He is mine,I am a child of God.And He takes me as I amtorn and scared and flawed. He will not turn His back on meno matter what I face. He’ll stay and heal my wounded heartmy pain He will erase.Challenges face me all my dayssometimes I cannot cope.Questions always fill my mindand sometimes I lose hope. But when I stop and really thinkabout how much God cares.I know that I will be all rightdespite my deep despair. For I am His and He is mineHe never leaves my side. When I’m weak He carries methen in His arms I hide.I know the hard time will still comefor sin makes my heart flawed. But I will never lose my hopefor I’m a child of God.
He'll Carry You
We're living in a cold world,And often feel alone.Scattered dreams and broken hearts,We know these as our own.But life can be much better,Just open up your eyes.Right before you, you will see,Warm heavenly blue skies.God never meant for us, To walk this road alone. He never meant for us,To try it on our own.He wants the world to know,That he is always here. When you're weak He'll carry you,And show you that He's near. There are days my strength is gone,My faith feels O so weak.I try to make it on my own,But I am feeling beat.A gentle breeze reminds me,That God is still with me.He softly whispers in my ear,"I love you; trust in me."Life is so much better, When God is by your side. He'll help you through each day,You'll never run and hide.He knows that we aren't perfect,That's why He stays by you.God's love will never leave you,He's faithful and He's true.
Broken Lives
One day changed our lives forever,Terror and panic and pain.Satan is sure alive and well,For innocent lives were slain. All over the world people are shocked,They're dazed and keep asking, "WHY"?It's hard to explain to terrified kids,When all we can do is cry.I know You're in heaven listening Lord,I know You hear all the cries.Lord please surround Your loving arms,Around all those broken lives. Many are weary, filled with sorrow,They're angry, afraid and weak.Heal them O Lord; release them from pain,Please comfort them as they weep.Oh Father we need to feel Your touch,The pain just won't go away.We need to feel Your warm tenderness,For we feel we've lost our way.Stay close to us as we try to move on,Lord fill us with a new hope.Take away all the fears that we have,And give us Your strength to cope. You O God are much bigger than this,You're mighty and You're strong.Be our shield; protect us from harm,From those who do us wrong.Rescue us Lord from our enemies,Today and throughout the years.Arm us with strength and give us peace,Free us from all our fears. You're in control; our eyes are on You,We get on our knees and pray. You fill us with hope and show us that You,Are guiding each of our days.Give us wisdom to do the right thing,Help us to love and not hate. For judgement is Yours, Yours alone,And good will come if we wait.Yesterday, today and forever,Your love it stays the same. You never change; You're faithful and true,Forever we'll praise Your name.
I'll Get You ThroughI feel so weak and I’m giving up.I won’t let you give up.I just can’t go on.I’ll make you strong.I am so afraid. With you I have stayed.I just want to cry.Your eyes I will dry.I’m doubting again.I’ll take all your pain.Your joy I don’t feel. You’re heart I will heal. But sadness fills me.Get down on your knee.I have no words.Your heart can be heard.I don’t know how!Sit quiet right now.I’m pushing away. Please try my way. Please Jesus stay near.Yes child, I’m here.I feel you with me!I’m setting you free!I know that you are.I’m taking your scar.My burdens feel lighter.Things will be brighter. My heart feels brand new.I’m helping you through. You didn’t let me give up!I won’t let you give up!When you’re feeling down,I’ll take your sad frown. And when you can’t cope,I’ll fill you with hope. When you're filled with fear,Just reach out, I’m here.I’ll get you through,Cause Child I love you!

Change Me

I sat upon the hard cold floorand from my eyes the tears did pour.I bowed my head and tried to praybut I couldn't express what I had to say.I felt like no one cared for meas I sat there leaning on my knee. But I didn't give up so I tried againto ask God to take all this pain.I know He heard my every pleabut still the pain just stayed with me.I know He sat right by my sideas I bowed my head and cried.I still have faith that He loves meand I know with Him I want to be.But at that time I did not feelHis gentle touch reach down and heal.I must admit it didn't feel rightand the pain stayed with me to the night.I kept on calling, "Please help me,Please take this pain and set me free."But God had other plans that day,He did not rush the pain away.He had me thinking all day longabout why my life goes so wrong.I kept on thinking of my life, and wondering why I face such strife.I questioned God throughout the dayabout the things that come my way.I told Him, "I don't understand,I cannot see what you have planned. Please show me Lord I need to knowIf all this pain will ever go".All day long I prayed and cried,I wanted to run away and hide.Confusion seemed to fill my mind, peace and joy I could not find.Something held me back that daybut for this to change I must obey.So I turned to God and said, "Change me"and suddenly my heart felt free.I knew He never left my side, from me my God would never hide.Beside me He will always stayif I just follow and obey.He waited paitently for meand He opened up my eyes to see....That no matter what I face each dayHe'll never guide me the wrong way.I still have struggles in my life, but alone I'll never face the strife.I trusted Him and He changed me,He took the pain and set me free. He'd never turn His back on me,through good and bad with me He'll be.I know He loves me O so muchand late that day I felt His touch.

Where I Belong
Not long ago my heart was sad,I felt I had no one.Life didn’t make any sense to me,My heart it weighed a ton. Then one day God stirred my heart,He said, “I’m here with you.”He led me to His loving arms,And said, “I love you too.”My time each day with God was great,I didn’t feel all alone.I felt such peace and joy and hope,His love He had made known. Each day I came and talked to Him, He listened to each word.I always felt Him close to me,I know my voice He heard. My life was so much better then,I prayed to Him each day.My faith in Him was growing strong,His word led me His way.I had a friend who believed in me,He stayed through thick and thin.He healed my blemished heart and then,He washed away my sin.Lately though I’ve been feeling lost,I try to keep my hope. But nothing has been going right,I just can’ seem to cope.I feel despair, I’m giving up,I’m struggling each day.I know my God is still with me,It’s me; I’ve gone astray.Sinful thoughts consume my mind,I just don’t seem to care.I say and do things that are wrong,I’m acting so unfair.I’m so impatient, jealous too,I want this all to stop.I know that Satan is at work,Right now he is on top.I want You Lord back in control,I want to trust again.Streams of tears flow from my eyes,Please take away this pain.Turn to me; have mercy Lord;I need to feel Your touch. Please take my hand and guide me back,I need Your love so much.Through His word God speaks to me,Just put your trust in me.I will protect you at all times,I’ll help you, trust and see.Just be still, wait patiently,I’m always in control.I love you child; you are my own,I long to soothe your soul.I know I’m back where I belong,He won’t let go of me.I hold on tight; it feels so right,I’m where I long to be.He comforts me; I’m safe and warm,His tenderness I know.I know my Jesus loves me so,Where He leads I’ll go.
Give Him All Your Pain

Sometimes life does not make sense,It's hard and filled with pain.It seems that everything goes wrong,Dark days are here again. The road you're on is lonely,You're filling with despair.Sadness fills your broken heart,You wish someone would care.
But there is someone out there,Who loves you very much.He longs to heal your broken heart,With his gentle touch. He will never leave you,He longs to soothe your soul. He'll hold you in His loving arms,And never let you go.
He'll fill your life with so much joy,His peace will fill your soul.He will set your heart so free,His love will make you whole. All your pain and sorrow,He'll gladly take from you. He'll fill you up with happiness,And make you feel brand new.
The one who can do all of this,Is Jesus Christ the Lord.He can fill you up with strength,Then be your shield and sword.Jesus love you O so much,That on the cross He died.He paid the price so you can live,Forever by His side.
Just pray to Jesus; ask Him in,Then in your heart He'll live. He'll never walk away from you,His love He'll freely give. He's here for you, just trust in Him,And give Him all your pain.He longs for you to trust in Him,And feel His blessings rain.
Down On My Knee Lately I’ve been feeling lost,My heart is filled with pain.So much has been going wrong,My days are filled with rain.Tears are streaming down my face,I just can’t seem to cope.I need Your help Lord, rescue me,And fill me up with hope.Life can be so very hard,I struggle everyday.I want to run away and hide,But I choose to pray. The evil one will not give up,Oh Lord please make him stop. This pain is draining all my strength,Please push him off the top.I’ll count on You Lord for my strength,I know You’ll get me through. You’re right beside me everyday,Making my skies blue. You long for me to let You fight,Each battle that I face. And I know You long to hold me,In Your sweet embrace.Lord I surrender all to You,I give You all my pain. Please give me all the strength I need, To fight him off again. When he comes back send him away,Don’t let him touch my soul. For that dear Lord belongs to You,The One who makes me whole.Lord here I am down on my knees,Listening for Your voice.I cannot make it on my own,So Your way is my choice. My heart is open so please show,What You have planned for me.Then give me strength to follow through,So my heart can be free.
When you are feeling down and depressed,When nothing goes right and you're feeling stressed. When pain strikes again and your eyes fill with tears,And your heart starts filling with doubts and fears. There's no need to run and hide away,There's no need to hurt through another day.Jesus is waiting; He wants to help you,He wants to show you that His love is true.Just call out to Him wherever you are,Always remember that He's never far.He knows you are hurting but He can heal you,Just talk to the Father cause He cares for you.He died on the cross to save you from sin,All that He asks is that you let Him come in.Then He'll stay by you as you learn and grow,And when you leave earth to heaven you'll go.Why not trust Jesus, He'll change you today,He'll make you so happy day after day.Yes hard times will come but He'll still be there,He'll get you through cause He really does care.So when you are feeling down and depressed,Turn to Jesus and He'll give you rest. You can count on Him to never leave you,Cause Jesus is faithful, loving and true.
When the days feel dark and cold,
when sadness fills my life.
When my heart is filled with pain
and all I face is strife.
I'll turn to You my precious Lord,
I'll reach up to the sky.
For I know You really care.
when all I do is cry.

My heart is reaching out to You,
I know You understand.
I know You want to get me through,
so guide me by Your hand.
I know You stay with me each day,
You catch me when I fall.
O Lord to You I'm reaching out,
and I give to You my all.

I give to You my scrapes and scars,
my sorrows and my strife.
I give You all my worries Lord.
The problems in my life.
My heart is heavy but I know,
this pain You'll take away.
So Lord I'm reaching out to You
and I know I'll be okay.

My heart is reaching to You Lord,
I long to trust You more.
I long to feel You close to me,
and feel Your blessings pour.
You always have and always will
be all I'll ever need.
So Lord I'll keep on reaching out,
and follow where You lead.

The Mountain I'm Climbing
The mountain I'm climbing is so steep,I have so far to go.Each step I take is a struggle for me,I go so very slow.I keep looking back wondering if,This is too hard for me,Maybe I should just turn around,For the peak I still can't see.I'm tired and weak but I keep heading up,The top seems much further now.I slow down some more for I'm filled with pain,How can I do this, how?I know there's a reason I face this steep hill,But that reason is unclear. So many questions fill me with doubt,Right now it's all I can hear.Part of me wants to just give up,And walk away from it all.But God loves me and won't let me give up,He'll never let me fall.I know He's the reason I still have hope,Why I keep going on.For He is with me giving me strength,His help is never gone.He is the reason that I believe,That things will get better soon. When I feel sad or overwhelmed,He fills my heart with a tune.No matter how high my mountain can get,I don't have to climb it alone. For Jesus, my best friend is by my side,I'm never on my own.The mountain I'm climbing is still steep,But I'm keeping my eyes on the Lord.At times I feel I just can't go on.Then I feel His love being poured. It flows like a fountain all over me,Giving me strength all day long. And when I'm too weak He carries me,Until I am feeling strong.

Don't Give Up
Your faith just isn't feeling strong,The way it used to be.Your heart feels cold; your hope is gone,You've given up on Thee. You don't know why you feel this way,You've so much pain inside.Despair takes over your whole life,You want to run and hide.Just don't give up, no matter what,Get on your knees and pray. The Lord is here; He feels your pain,He'll heal your heart today.Don't give up; keep holding on,He knows that you can't cope.He wants to take your wounded heart,And fill it up with hope. You pray to God and ask for help,Tears stream down your face.He takes your hand and leads you back,Into His sweet embrace. You know that He is holding you,Your soul can feel His touch. You know that God has rescued you,His joy you feel so much.Just don't give up, no matter what,Get on your knees and pray. The Lord is here; He feels your pain,He'll heal your heart today.Don't give up; keep holding on,Just give Him all your soul.God loves you and wants you to know,He'll never let you go.Don't give up, no matter what,The Lord is on your side.Don't give up; keep holding on,His arms are open wide.Don't give up, no matter what,He's always there for you.Don't give up; keep holding on,His love is always true.
Father here I am hurting again,I come before you now.I can't go on with all this pain,I just don't know how.My days are gray, filled with despair,I'm lost and afraid.I know You are here yet my faith is weak,I know I haven't obeyed.I know that I should follow You,Each and every day.I know You'll help me get through this,If I bow down and pray. But Lord I feel so lost right now,I don't know how to try.I don't know how to come to You,When all I do is cry.I know that Satan is laughing at me,I can hear it loud and clear.I know that he will not give up,Until I live in fear. He's trying hard to turn me from You,But Lord I won't let him win. Please help me fight him off again,Then take away all my sin.O Father I feel You back beside me,I feel Your healing touch.Your hope is filling up my soul,With love I need so much.I know that You never left my side,It's me; I wandered away. But now I'm back in the place I should be,With You is where I'll stay.I'll always need You here with me,I can't live on my own.I need to feel Your loving arms,So I don't feel alone. Please O Lord, give me Your strength,And cover me with love.Protect me from him and keep him away,And guide me from above.I know at times I'll stumble and fall,And I'll think You've left my side. But please remind me, when pain strikes again,From me You'll never hide.Help me have faith and keep trusting You,Even when I feel alone.Sometimes I don't feel You but help me believe,I'll never be on my own.Thank you O Lord for coming to me,When I loose my way.Thank you for getting me back on my feet,And for taking away; All of my heartaches that weigh me down,All of my guilt and pain. For You reached down and rescued me,And on me I feel love rain.I fall on my knees and worship You,I praise You Father above.I can count on You to get me through,For You're the Father of love.
Sadness and sorrow are part of this life,Many days are filled with much strife. We think that by hiding the hurts that we face,That life will be fine if we keep up with the pace.Sometimes though we just have to admit,That a problem won't vanish if we try to forget. We must stop pretending that all is just fine,We must start trusting in the Great One Divine.Jesus can help you forget all your fears,And He can wash away all your tears.Just call out to Him wherever you are,Cause one thing we know is that He's never far. He's waiting for you to call out His name,He'll take all your worries, your sin and your shame. He'll take your sadness, His joy will fill you,He'll give you the strength that you need to get through. So on those days when you just can't cope,Turn to the Father and He'll give you hope.

Suffering
If we suffer for the sake of Christ, Our Lord rains more love down.He knows that life on earth is hard,He wore a throne filled crown. He suffered death so we could live,He paid a price so high.So that although our life is hard,We'll never have to die.He knows our struggles, everyone,He lived here among men.He knows the trials that we face,The pains we face again. He never promised an easy life,But one thing that is true.We do not have to walk alone,He's always here for you. When we have Jesus in our lives,His strength He'll freely give. And when our lives turn upside down,He shows us how to live.He only asks that we faith,Accept and then believe. Then He can fill our lives with joy,Even in the time we grieve.Though suffering will come to you,In time they'll go away. But if you feel to weak to walk,Just bow to God and pray. His death is proof that He loves you,He'll never leave your side.He longs for you to run to Him,For His arms are open wide.So praise His name and do His will,No matter what you face. And when your life on earth is through,You'll feel His sweet embrace. He'll say, I love you my dear child,You suffered yet you won.And all of heavens reward's are yours,For a job well done. When I think of that I feel such joy,This pain will one day leave.I'll live in heaven with my Lord,If on earth I just believe. While I'm down here I'll just trust Him,Each of my days are planned. And someday when my life is through,I'll hold my Savior's hand.

Give You My Best
I want to give You the best part of my day,I want to please You by the things that I say.I want to be faithful, I give You my all,And up to You Lord each day I will call.I feel so blessed to call You my King,And all day long heart wants to sing.I want to shout praises for You saved my soul,I want the whole world to know You made me whole.Lord I have problems, some big and some small,But Lord I have faith and I give You them all.I know You’ll take care of them in Your own way,And I know that You'll help me get through each day.Lord in the morning I’ll lift up Your name,And in the evening I’ll praise You the same. And on those times when I’m feeling weak,I’ll call on You more and Your face I will seek.Sometimes temptations and the world’s view,Will try to turn me from my faith in You.But Lord I just want to give You my best,And hear You say “Good job, your faith passed the test“.When I stand in judgement before You one day,I pray that a smile I’ll bring Your way.I pray You’ll be pleased with how I honoured You,How I trusted You each of my days through.I want to give You the best part of my days,Each day I will give You all of my praise. You O Lord are the reason I live,And all of my life to You I do give.

Special Purpose
God has a purpose just for meWhile I’m on this earth. He planned that special purpose,Long before my birth. He has the blueprints of my life,He thought of everything. My looks, my thoughts even my friends,Right down to my offspring.Yes God knows every part of me,Much more than what I know.I was made by Him and for His will,I am here cause He says so.My eyes must focus on the Lord,Then I will understand. The purpose He has planned for me,While I live on this land.I sometimes lose my focus,And start to plan my life. It’s then that darkness fills me up,And I live my days with strife.I cannot make it without God,Not for a single day.Hopelessness just fill my soul,When I turn and look away.So I will keep my eyes on Him,Cause He’s the One I need.My life is filled with meaningWhen I follow where He leads.I live for God and God alone,And every move I make.Everything I do in life,Is all for His name's sake.I am Your servant Father God,I thank You for each day.I want to live my life for You,By the things I do and say.My life is not about me Lord,My life is about You.And living my life for You Lord,Is all I want to do.

Celebrate Jesus
My life is to celebrate Jesus,My life is to honour the King.My life is to celebrate JesusAnd forever to Him I will sing.My life is to celebrate Jesus,For He is the reason I live.My life is to celebrate Jesus,And praises to Jesus I give.My life is to celebrate Jesus,For He gives me strength to cope.My life is to celebrate Jesus,With Him I have meaning and hope.My life is to celebrate Jesus,For He paid the price for sin.He died on the cross to free me,Now to Heaven He’ll welcome me in.My life is to celebrate Jesus,My eyes are on the King.I’ll follow and celebrate Jesus,Each day and in everything. My life is to celebrate Jesus,Forever His name I’ll adore. My life is to celebrate Jesus,I’ll praise Him forevermore.

September 8, 2008

I know I live for a reason, and it makes me want to sing.I live because of the Father, the maker of everything. He made every detail,of this life of mine. And He knows my future, for my life He did design. From the very beginning,He’s had a plan for me.And if I just open my heart, this plan He’ll help me see. He’ll reveal it to me slowly,So overwhelmed I don’t become. But soon it will be clearerAnd I’ll see it one by one.But everything I’ll not know,For only God can know. But if I just keep trusting,My faith in Him will grow.I know I live for a reason,I live because of Love.I know I live for a reason,To serve the Father above.

Come to You

In the stillness of the morning
Oh God I come to You.
I pray that on this day
You’ll help me to get through.
I pray You’ll guide each of my steps
As I live as for You today.
Please give me strength and courage
To live my life Your way.

In the business of the day
I come to You O God.
I know I get impatient Lord
For I am terribly flawed.
But please Lord take my worries
I give them all to You.
And help me trust You Father God
In everything I do.

In the struggles of the evening
Please help me Lord get through.
Often times I just can’t cope
And I don’t know what to do.
Though storms rage up against me
Don’t let me lose the fight.
For Your strength is all I need
So keep me in your sight.

In the quiet of the night time
Oh Lord I pray to You.
Please protect my family
Each day and each night too.
I ask Lord for Your special touch
To cover us with love.
To keep us safe all through the night
As You watch us from above.

REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL.

We make a Living by what we get, We make a Life by what we give.

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Lord I love You and I need You, come into my heart, Today.

For without You I can do nothing.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:6

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
James 5:13

I PrayedI said a prayer for you todayThat all your pain would fade away. That you would feel His love for youSurround your soul your whole day through.I asked the Lord to give you peaceAnd that your worries would decrease.I asked for joy and laughter tooAnd that He'd make your gray skies blue.I prayed that if you just can't copeThat He would shower you with hope.I prayed He'd take away your fearsAnd that He'd wipe away your tears.I prayed and asked that you would feelHis gentle hand reach down and heal. And when you feel down and depressedI asked the Lord to give you rest.He knows you may not understandBut He has all of your days planned. He'll never leave you this is trueHe's with you every moment through. We all do struggle in our lifeTrials we face that brings us strife.Just lean on God and others nowAnd you'll get through it all somehow. You see I love you very muchAnd I pray you feel God's gentle touch.Surround your heart and soul each dayAs you keep trusting in His way.I said a prayer down on my kneeThat your pain and worries would just flee.I said a prayer for you todayAnd everyday for you I'll pray.

He'll hold you in His loving arms,And never let you go.He'll fill your life with so much joy,His peace will fill your soul.He will set your heart so free,His love will make you whole. All your pain and sorrow,He'll gladly take from you. He'll fill you up with happiness,And make you feel brand new.The one who can do all of this,Is Jesus Christ the Lord.He can fill you up with strength,Then be your shield and sword.Jesus love you O so much,That on the cross He died.He paid the price so you can live,Forever by His side.Just pray to Jesus; ask Him in,Then in your heart He'll live. He'll never walk away from you,His love He'll freely give. He's here for you, just trust in Him,And give Him all your pain.He longs for you to trust in Him,And feel His blessings rain.

A Mother's Love Is Different

A Mother's love is different,Than other kinds of love.For a Mother's love came from,Our Father up above.
He made each mother beautiful,
For beauty's from the heart.
He made her kind and gentle,
From the very start.

God gave Mother's special gifts,
He made them all unique.
But one thing all mother's love,
Are kisses on their cheek.

God gave Mother's extra patience,
Lots of kindness too.
She cares about her family,
Each day through and through.

God gives her love and she loves Him,
She shares God with her kids.
They grow up knowing God is love,
By what she said and did.

She knows that she could never raise,
Her kids without the Lord.
She trusts in Him and then she sees,
The blessings He has poured.

A Mother's love is special,
In every single way.
Her love is unconditional,
Her love is here to stay.

So when you see your Mother,
Make sure you say these words.
"I love you Mom, you are the best,"
Don't let them go unheard.

September 8, 2008

In the morning when I rise,I ask the Lord for He is wise.To give me wisdom, patience too,To send the children off to school. As I go about my day,I read my Bible and I pray. That I may get my work all done,So we can have some family fun.As I put the kids to bed,I make sure that their prayers are said.We thank the Lord for being here,For loving us throughout the year.As I'm drifting off to sleep,I ask the Lord my days to keep.To guide my each and everyday,So we may follow God's own way.

My Grandma
My Grandma was my special friend,Someone who knew me well. She'd talk to me about God's love,Oh how she loved to tell. She gave the Lord all she could give,Her heart belonged to Him.All those who knew my Grandma well,Knew of her love for Him.She did not waiver in her faith,The Lord helped her stay strong.Though sometimes heartaches came her way,God's path was never wrong.I loved my Grandma very much,She was my special friend.I thank the Lord for her strong faith,Until the very end.I know that where she is today,Is where she longed to be.In heaven singing songs of praise,Forever close to Thee.

Mother

I just want to thank you
for the very special gifts
you've given me all my life.

You've given me the gift
of sweet childhood memories

You've given me the gift of dreams...
the ones you've made come true
and the ones I achieved myself
because of your encouragement.

But most important of all,
you've always given me
the gift of your love,
the most precious gift of all.

There's no way I could possibly
thank you enough
for these gifts and so many more.

I will always be so grateful,
and you will always have
a special place
in my life-- and in my heart

A Parents Love

I gave you life,
but cannot live it for you.

I can teach you things,
but I cannot make you learn.

I can give you directions,
but I cannot be there to lead you.

I can allow you freedom,
but I cannot account for it.

I can take you to church,
but I cannot make you believe.

I can teach you right from wrong,
but I cannot always decide for you.

I can buy you beautiful clothes,
but I cannot make you beautiful inside.

I can offer you advice,
but I cannot accept it for you.

I can give you love,
but I cannot force it upon you.

I can teach you to share,
but I cannot make you unselfish.

I can teach you respect,
but I cannot force you to show honor.

I can advise you about friends,
but cannot choose them for you.

I can advise you about sex,
but I cannot keep you pure.

I can tell you the facts of life,
but I can't build your reputation.

I can tell you about drinking,
but I can't say "no" for you.

I can warn you about drugs,
but I can't prevent you from using them.

I can tell you about lofty goals,
but I can't achieve them for you.

I can teach you about kindness,
but I can't force you to be gracious.

I can warn you about sins,
but I cannot make you moral.

I can love you as a child,
but I cannot place you in God's family.

I can pray for you,
but I cannot make you walk with God.

I can teach you about Jesus,
but I cannot make Jesus your Lord.

I can tell you how to live,
but I cannot give you eternal life.

I can love you with unconditional love all of my
life . . . and I will!!!

Good or bad, feelings need expression;
they must be recognized and given
freedom to reveal themselves.
It isn't wise to hide behind a smile
when your heart is breaking;
that is not being true to how
you feel inside.
By letting out your feelings,
your pain is released,
and you are able to go on -
to reconstruct your life and
think of other things
that will make you happy again.
Put away the myth that says
you must be strong enough to face
the whole world with a smile and
a brave attitude all of the time.
You have your feelings that say otherwise,
so admit that they are there.
Use their healing power
to put the past behind you,
and realize that those expressive
stirrings in your heart
are very much a part of you.
Use them to get better,
to find peace within,
to be true to yourself.

I've seen the light
And it's in you
In everything you are
And in everything you do.

It's a perfect light
That shines for all to see
It radiates from you
And has pierced the heart of me.

The light is from a friend
It's a light that keeps me warm
It lets me know how loved I am
And keeps me safe from harm.

To you my friend I am thankful
In each and every way
For you lift my spirits up
With every passing day.

To know that you are there for me
It makes me feel alive
Because it's your friendship light
Upon which my love thrives.

So Thank you isn't good enough
They are the only words I know
It is your light of friendship
That gives my world it's glow.

Thanks for sharing your light with me
For it is the simple things in life
That are truly unforgettable.

Doris you were a bright shinning star in my life.....May God continue to Bless the family.

I don't often take the time
to stop and thank you
for being the wonderful
person you are,
but I should,
because there's only
one you.

You are the one who seems
to find a rainbow
behind every cloud,
the one who knows when
to offer advice
and when to just listen.

You're so sensitive
to the feelings of others
that you're a comfort
and a joy to be around.

I think it's time you knew
how very much
I appreciate you.

We may not always realize
that every thing we do,
affects not only our lives
but touches others, too!

For a little bit of thoughtfulness
that shows someone you care,
creates a ray of sunshine
for both of you to share.

Yes, every time you offer
someone a helping hand...
Every time you show a friend
you care and understand...
Every time you have
a kind and gentle word to give...
You help someone find beauty
in this precious life we live.

For happiness brings happiness
and loving ways bring love;
And Giving is the treasure
that contentment is made of.

Thank you for sending me the things
to make me think, laugh, or smile.
For when I am down
it makes the hurt go away
if only for a while.

That is why friends are so dear,
just because they love you.
And you always know they're there
to lend a listening ear
and to take away the blues.

It is also why I thank my God
for the friends he sends my way
For He knows we all need some cheer
and the support each and every day.

So to my wonderful friends
I send a rose to you.
Because I know that you all
are my friends through and true.

In each of us is a special gift
for if we love one another
It can surpass so much pain and fear
And give help and love to others.

So take this rose my friend,
and hold it close to your heart
And always remember me,
for we will never be apart.

I've nothing else to offer,
so it's love to you I'll send.
It's nothing that I borrowed,
and it's nothing that I'd lend.

It has no dollar value
and can't be over used.
It isn't fragile so it will not break,
but often it's abused.

I've given it to others,
but each time it's unique.
It’s meaning is always different,
depending on what you sought.
It's something you can store away
to feel when you're in need;
but never is it on display;
its beauty can't be seen.

I'm giving it to you,
no "strings attached",
no "costly warranty".
Because this love that I am sending
has a lifetime guarantee!

I WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND.....

September 4, 2008

The Lord came to me like a dream one
day and asked, "why do you sorrow?"
I answered, "Lord my life is so full of pain,
I can't face one more tomorrow."
The Lord sat down beside me,
and gently took my hand.
He said, "Let me explain to you
and then you'll understand.
Each sorrow is a stepping stone
you must surmount each day,
and every stepping stone you climb
is a sorrow that's passed away.
The road of life is a mountainside,
with crevices in which to be caught,
But as you struggle on your way,
I the Rock, will lend support.
Every stepping stone you climb,
makes spirit and heart grow strong.
Exercising character and faith
this road seems painful and long.
The way is paved with stepping stones,
to uplift your heart and soul,
Though difficult they aid your way,
to a City paved with gold.
I know that you are tired,
for I too have walked this way,
my sorrows did they multiply,
but I cleared many stones away.
I left my rock to lift you up,
I left behind my story.
To give you strength to make your climb,
to that special place in glory.
And never fear, the Rock is here,
you'll never climb this mountain alone
surmount life's sorrows, continue on,
for they are but stepping stones."

God's Beauty Tips

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others.
To lose weight, let go of stress, hatred, anger,
discontentment, and the need to control others.
To improve your ears, listen to the Word of God.
For poise, walk with knowledge and self-esteem.
To strengthen your arms, hug at least
3 people a day; Touch someone with your love.
To strengthen your heart, forgive yourself and others.
For the ultimate in business, casual or evening attire,
put on the robe of Christ;
it fits like a glove but allows room for growth.
Best of all, it never goes out of style
and is appropriate for any occasion.
Doing these things on a daily basis
will certainly make you a more
beautiful person.

The Beauty Of A Woman

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries,
Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years -- only grows!

SHELIA AND PAUL ROBINSON

God gave us the seasons --
each with its own beauty and reason,
each meant to bring us a blessing,
a joy, and a feeling of love.

God gave us dreams --
each with its own secret,
each sent to give us feelings of
inspiration, hope, and tranquility.

God gave us the sunshine,
the rainbows and the rain,
the beauty and freedom of nature
to teach us the wisdom of gentle acceptance.

God gave us miracles
in our hearts and lives,
little things that happen
to remind us we're alive.

God gave us the ability
to face each new day
with courage, wisdom,
and a smile from knowing
that whatever sorrow or pain we face,
He abides with us
securely in our hearts.

Most of all, God gave us friends
to teach us about love
and guide us through this world,
always available to help us forward
towards a greater understanding
and a greater sharing and giving
of love.

People are often unreasonable,
Illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
People may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
You will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
You may find it could be destroyed overnight;
Keep Building anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
They may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
People will often forget tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
It is between you and God.

An Angels Kiss

We go through life so often,
not stopping to enjoy the day.
And we take each one for granted,
As we travel on our way.

For in your pain and sorrow,
An Angel's Kiss will help you through,
This kiss is very private,
For it is meant for only you.

We never stop to measure,
Anything we just might miss.
But if the wind should blow
by softly, You'll feel an
Angel's Kiss.

A kiss that is sent from
heaven, A kiss from up above.
A kiss that is very special,
From someone that you love.

So when, your hearts are heavy,
And filled with tears and pain,
And no one can console you,
Remember once again...

About the ones you grieve for,
Because you sadly miss.
And the gentle breeze you took
for granted, Was just an
Angel's Kiss.

There are angels among us,
one for me and one for you.
God sent them to watch over us,
our whole lives through.

I knew that when I met you,
I saw a certain spark.
you appeared before me,
when the world seemed so dark.

God must have had me in mind
when he gave me a friend like you.
He knew I would need advice,
and a helping hand or two;

Someone to pick me up,
when I stumble and fall,
when the world seems so horrible
and not worth living at all.

I have certainly had my days
when I needed your hand.
I thank God for sending you to me,
and for including me in His plan.

If you ever need comfort,
the way I sometimes do,
please think of me,
I will always reach out my hand
and offer you comfort too.

Our Guardians

When angels sense you need them,
And angels always do.

They come, unseen, from everywhere,
To help and comfort you.

They hover close beside you,
Till all your cares are gone.

Till they can see you're ready,
Once again to carry on.

Then some of them fly away,
And take their gentle touch.

To other hearts that need the love,
Of angels very much.

But one, at least, stays with you,
As your constant friend and guide.

For guardian angels never leave,
They're always at your side.

May you always have an angel by your side
Watching out for you in all the things you do
Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days
Finding ways for your wishes and dreams
to take you to beautiful places

Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun
Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide
May you always have love and comfort and courage
And may you always have an angel by your side

May you always have an angel by your side
Someone there to catch you if you fall
Encouraging your dreams Inspiring your happiness
Holding your hand and helping you through it all

In all of our days, our lives are always changing
Tears come along as well as smiles
Along the roads you travel,
may the miles be a thousand times more lovely than lonely

May they give you the kind of gifts that never, ever end:
someone wonderful to love and a dear
friend in whom you can confide
May you have rainbows after every storm
May you have hopes to keep you warm
And may you always have an angel by your side

An Angel kissed my tears away
today when I was sad
I wasn't feeling quite myself
my day had been so bad

I felt a warmth brush by me
that quickly dried my tears
A gentle, kind, and loving touch
that seemed to hold me near.

Immediately, I felt so much better
and the day seemed brighter too
I guess that's just the way you feel
when an Angel comforts you

Thank You for being an Angel to me!

An Angel wrote

Many people will walk in and out or your life,
but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.

To handle yourself, use your head,
To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger.

If someone betrays you once, it's their fault.
If they betray you twice, it's your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.

God Gives every bird it's food,
but He does not throw it into it's nest.

He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses more;
He who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are acts of nature,
but beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
The tongue weighs practically nothing,
but so few people can hold it.

Friends, you and me... you brought another friend...
and then there were 3... we started our group...
Our circle of friends... and like the circle... there's no beginning...
there is no end.

~I Know An Angel~

I know a little angel with a halo all aglow
Fragile little wings that take her where she goes
She follows my every foot step
Keeps me always in her sight
Whenever I need a little blessing she
makes everything all right
She tips her tiny halo
And blows me a kiss, or two, or three
A little wink and then she's off again
To show the world to me
Things that go unnoticed she
quickly points them out
She tells me of God's secrets
as she flutters all about
I feel the brush of tiny angel wings
As she gives an unexpected kiss
To have a pair of angel
wings is my greatest wish
Her halo gets a little crooked
as she gives a hug so sweet
And I just have to giggle
when that tiny halo slips and rolls away
But she is always quick to find it
and puts it back in place
I can always count on my angel
to fill my heart with love
And remind me that life can be easy
if I learn to lighten up
Let's pet the pretty kitties and eat
ice-cream just because
Laugh just for the fun of it and
give lots and lots of hugs
You can learn a lot from an angel
If you stop and take some time
I'd forgotten how cuddly puppies were
and sea-shells really are fun to find
Magic fairies live in dandelions when you
Blow their seeds away
And the beauty of a butterfly can brighten any day
Wherever I lost my childhood
She knows the secret to where it hides
A master at hide-and-seek she finds it every time
She flutters above my shoulder reminding me
we all have angel wings
But they are far too delicate to carry a heavy strain
So I'll lay down all my burdens and face into wind
And as I fly with my tiny angel I'll learn to laugh again!
I know a tiny angel with her halo all aglow
fragile little wings take her where she goes
Now I can go with her she has taught me how to fly
And when I long for the innocence of childhood
I know just where it hides!
It took my tiny angel to show me
How to rise above it all
She found that touch of magic I lost so long ago
Even I have angel wings they were there hidden all along
To fly I only had to learn how to simply just let go

Angels whisper in the breeze,
carrying God's miracles on downy wings.
Going forth to where they are told,
having no particular agenda of their own.

They join hands when God says circle round,
someone is in need or feeling down.
Prayers are whispered into the wind,
until from heaven a miracle is sent.

They gather round and form a ring,
an impenetrable barrier of angels wings.
They whisper to us courage, strength, and hope,
and they encamp about us when we need them the most.

Voices as soft as the feather is light,
call across the distance to those out of sight.
From every corner of the earth that knows the wind,
angels gather quickly and on us descend.
Celestial beings through which God's love flows,
He sends us his angels when we need them the most.

When I have no one to turn to
And I am feeling kind of low,
When there is no one to talk to
And nowhere I want to go,
I search deep within myself
It is the love inside my heart
That lets me know my Angels are there
Even though we are miles apart.

A smile then appears upon my face
And the sun begins to shine.
I hear a voice, so soft and sweet
Saying, 'Everything will be just fine'
It may seem that I am alone
But I am never by myself at all.
Whenever I need my Angels near
All I have to do is call.

An Angel's love is always true
On that you can depend.
They will always stand behind you
And will always be your friend.
Through darkest hours and brightest days
Our Angels see us through.
You are one of my Angels.
Perhaps I am one for you.

He Only Takes The Best

God saw they were their happiest and
someone would not let that be.
So He put his arms around them and whispered
"Come with Me".

With tear filled eyes we watched them,
suffer and fade away. Although we
loved them deeply, We could not
make them stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped
away into the next room. I am I, and you are you.
What ever we were to each other, that
we still are. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you
always used. Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me,
pray for me. Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means
all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity, Why should I be
out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere
very near, just round the corner. All is well.

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience."

Somebody’s Waiting In Heaven
May it be a loved one or friend
Somebody’s ready to welcome
You to a world without any end

I know that there’s Mama and Daddy
They’ve been gone from his world for so long
O the sweet thoughts to hold them again
While the ages roll on and on

I know there’s riches a plenty
When I step in that city so fair
A beautiful mansion awaits me
The angels are now living there

Somebody’s waiting in Heaven
Somebody knows what’s to be
My Heavenly Father has the key to the door
And He knows when He’s sending for me

The Door to Heaven was Left Open

So she walked on through
With a wave and a sweet smile
For me~ and ~for you.
As my heart was breaking
She would be well again
The doors were open
To heavenly portals, so she went in

She heard angels singing
And seen Jesus in a storm
Though it was a winter chill in that moment
She was in heavenly arms ~ kept warm.

The door was left open
She seen a glowing light
As I sat in tears for the knowing
Her room would be empty tonight.

I tried to call her back
Please dont go~I will miss you so
Letting go of my hand
Through the door ~ she now would go.

The door was open
so far from us right here
She took the unseen hands of Jesus
She left without a fear

Wait for me my Dear one
Just inside the open door
I'll be there when God so deems
we shall be together once more.

Final Note
ALL THAT PASS THROUGH THOSE DOORS
HAVE MET ONE REQUEIREMENT
ACCEPTING IN FAITH LORD JESUS CHRIST
THE KEYS THAT OPEN IT.
THE DOOR IS STILL OPEN
WHERE LOVED ONE NOW WAIT
MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW
BEFORE THE HOUR GROWS TO LATE.

For quite awhile now I've been concerned
Of what happens when we die
I had no fear of my destination
It was the trip that made me cry

I know I'll have a Home in Heaven
But what about my position?
Just what really happens to a person?
As they make the last transition

Does death hurt? Are you afraid?
Just what all do you see
But Jesus said He's send an angel
Surely she's take care of me

This has troubled me really bad
This journey I am about to pursue
So I had a little talk with Jesus
Of just what I should do

I said Oh Lord I know
You so sweetly saved my soul
You cleansed me so completely
And made me free and whole

But just what happens on my journey
From here to over there
I have been a little frightened
And I know that's so unfair

If my Lord can build a mansion
That man's eyes cannot behold
He'll surely see me safely o'er
Just as He saved my soul

My journey may be morning
When my heart is renewed and calm
I feel a sense of peace around me
Now as I read the Psalms

I now believe that when it's my time
To leave this sinful world below
An angel will simply take my hand
And say it's time to go

All of your pain and sorrow
Forever now is gone
You'll rest with the Savior
When you reach your new Home

So when I leave don't worry
Because all my fear is gone
I'm both consoled and comforted
And waiting now for Home

But I ask that you all join me
In this precious land of plenty
Where Jesus Christ is the light
And all our friends are many

My tears all gone my bags are packed
My ticket's in my hand
Someday I'll be in the arms of an angel

Real mothers are more precious than pearl
Nothing else likes them now or never
The love they feel for their children
Is the kind that binds them forever

When you carry a baby under your heart
A mother then bonds with that babe
There’s no other feeling I can describe
Like when in your arms it is laid

Maybe the mother can’t carry her own
But God blesses her with another
The first time she clutched him close to her heart
Right then she becomes a true mother

I have been given a mother so fine
Also to be a mother I’m blessed
I’ve watched my daughter as her babes were born
What a wonderful position to possess

Good mothers are like precious jewels
God create them to care for their young
Touched by an angel and handle with care
Their little ones as they come along

They sit up half the night to wipe a fevered brow
Still up at dawn to tend others
No one ever knows just how tired she is
But that’s what it takes to be a mother

Come evening after the children are fed
There’s baths and then off to bed
Not a one get neglected to be tucked in
And made sure that all prayers are said

Even after the children grow up and leave
The strings to your heart never severs
The grandchildren come and the love is the same
Once a mother, you’re a mother forever

If you have a mother still with you today
I’d advise you to show her your love
For this sweet and precious pearl
Was sent from the Father above

Can I go home now
Is it ok for me leave
You know how much I love you
And I don't want you to grieve

I know that you'll be lonely
I know your heart will break
But please try to understand
I've took all that I can stand

The pain that wrecks my body
It's unbearable some days
You have cared so for me
And helped in so many ways

Can I go home now
I am so weak and worn
And if it's ok with you
I'd like to go before the morn

Please don't start to cry
You did your very best
But Jesus says that it's ok
To take my final rest

I really don't want to leave
Our family O so sweet
But I am so heavy laden
I want to rest at Jesus feet

Can I go home now
Please just hold my hand
I really need to go now
Just try to understand

My Savior beckons me
To a land of perfect rest
And it looks so inviting
And I have been so blest

I truly want to thank you
For all that you have done
And I'll be waiting for you
When your life's race is run

I really need to go now
Please say that it's ok
My angel here is waiting
And she will guide my way

I am so very sorry
To leave you so alone
But for this I have been waiting
I have to go on home

I'd really like to go now
If that's ok with you
I feel the pain is leaving
As I bid this world adieu

I can see the Heaven's open
What Beauty do I see
At the door is my Jesus
He's reaching out to me

My pain is all gone now
And I can breathe with ease
The air here is so perfect
I don't even hear a wheeze

I safely made it home now
O My Jesus is so sweet
I'll now thank Him forever
As I bow down at His feet

When you cross Old Jordan
On this shore you will stand
We will always be together
I will forever hold your hand

*~Wings of a Dove~*

Some days it seems I am so tired and worn
My pathway seems always up hill
I strive just to feel My Saviour's Dear Touch
I long just to do His Sweet Will

Some days I feel lost, without even a friend
I feel so alone and so drear
It seems all my prayers are going no where
I would just like to know that He's near

Than all at once, my burdens just lift
And Blessings pour down from above
He says "My Child, I was here all the while"
I'll send you My Love on a dove

I sent it once for my own Dear Son
My Pride to Him I did show
He fulfilled my work, while walking the earth
I sent Him that dove, so He's know

So, child, don't be discouraged, when things are going wrong
For I told you that sometimes they will
The devil is working so hard, don't you see
Hoping all my Words, he can kill

Just take heed and don't worry, your crossing is nye
Hold your hands up in Praise to Above
You can be sure, I hear your Sweet cry
And I'll send down my Love on a dove

The Anchor Holds

When darkness falls around me
When I feel I have no friend
Then I feel that I'm not worthy
Though I KNOW that I have been

I know of His sweet Promise
He'd go with me to the end
As I swim in deep depression
I cry out to Him Again

Some of the nights are long and lonely
Some are filled with tears and pain
Sometimes doubt will start to enter
I call upon my Lord again

It seems He said "My Child don't worry"
I wont leave you in the cold
As I look inside your heart tonight
I plainly see, your anchor holds

It's not a pretty ship, I'm seeing
Sails are ragged and some are torn
It's been broke and it's been battered
And the hull, it looks so worn

Now don't you worry my dear loved one
Though you're growing gray and old
Have no fear, I hold your future
And it's very clear, your anchor holds

Matthew 16 24-28
Then Jesus said unto His diciples
If any man will come after me let him deny himself
And take up his cross and follow me. For whosoever
will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever
will lose his life for my sake shall find it, For what is
A man profited if he shall gain the whole world
and lose his soul?

And what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul. For the Son of Man shall come
In the glory of His Father with His angels; and then
He shall reward every man according to his works
Verily I say unto you. There will be some standing
here which till not taste death till the see the Son
of Man coming in His Kingdom.

Did you ever see a beautiful river
Flowing gently with the breeze of the wind
It’s like my soul just soaring on
To a life that will never end

I’m standing on your promise Lord
As I start another new day
So sweet and pure is Thy word
As I kneel and start to pray

You said you’d not forsake me Lord
I am believing every word
When that small still voice speaks
It’s the sweetest ever heard

I’m wading through deep water now
Exhausted both in mind and soul
Trying to lead the lost ones in
And Sweet Heaven’s is my goal

I can’t help but look sometimes
With greatest of anticipation
I gaze upward toward the skies
I have this "know so" Salvation

The Bible teaches that you’ll be coming soon
One will be left here and one will be taken
That’s why we need to spread your Word
And to this sin tossed world awaken

All have sinned and come short
Of the Precious Glory of God
The devil’s out to devour us all
While here on earth we trod

Oh Praise God for that river of life
Through my soul has flown
And when it cleanses me of sin
I soar to worlds unknown

Eyes have not seen nor have ears heard
What all God has in store
I have been blessed beyond measure
Now who could ask for more

I have this peace just like a river
Deep down in my soul and heart
King Jesus walks beside of me
His sweet blessings He imparts

I may have thorns on this side
Of Old Jordan’s stormy shore
But it will not last forever
Soon my pain will be no more

I can now hear the angels singing
There’s Saints gathered all around
Peace, yes precious peace my friend
What a Beautiful Heavenly sound

He will split the eastern sky and in His sweet arms
I’ll travel far away from all of earth’s harm
Flow on gentle river Blessed by God’s own Hand
I am safe at home now on a distant shore I stand

All is peace and beauty as I look around in awe
I gaze upon My Jesus more beautiful than all
There’s wildflowers everywhere God’s love is abound
Peace like a river forever flowing now

I am just a soldier in God's mighty army
Obeying orders the best that I can
The enemy is raging but I'm still pressing onward
This battle scarred soldier I am

I've fought many battles down through the ages
Many times I've failed the commands
There's times I've been wounded and my labors hampered
For this battle scarred soldier I am

The enemy is closer and they're all around me
But I must find the strength to still stand
I call to my General and He sends reenforcements
To this battle Scarred soldier I am

I am growing weary soon is time I can rest
As I reach for God's Mighty Hand
But until He calls me I stand at attention
This battle scarred soldier I am

When this war is ended I'll be shipped out
To a perfect and peaceful new land
I'm looking forward to receive my new medals
For this battlescarred soldier I am

I'll lay down my weapons and greet my Commander
When before the General I stand
I hope I will hear him say welcome Soldier
To this battle scarred soldier I am

Come on fellow soldiers don't give up the battle
You can hang on I know that you can
I'll see you in Glory when I have been discharged
For a battlescarred soldier I am

In my Fathers house
are many mansions; if it
were not so I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place
for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you
I will come again, and
receive you unto myself,
that where I am you may be also.

Stairway To Heaven

I can only imagine but by eye of faith
I picture a great stairway into Heaven
As I start to ascend it
A snow white robe I'll be given

Everything that surrounds me
Will be made with precision
I've so longed for this moment
Since my most important decision

My desire to make Heaven my home
And see my family follow me
I have prayed for many years
This Blessed sight to see

Now with each step worries cease
Perfect love I've been given
I'm content now with sweet peace
As I climb the stairway to Heaven

The angels are lined up on each side
Every step of the way
I often wondered if there's be a crowd
And I'd have to make my way

But today must just be "my day"
I'm getting all the attention
Higher and higher I climb still
As I make this ascension

My Heavenly Father as I near Thee
I am so filled with excitement
Just to see your precious face
Will bring such enlightment

Seems now I can almost fly
Although I've not been given wings
But my longing has been answered
At last I can lift my voice to sing

Oh how I love Jesus
Because He first loved me I know
Was the song the choir was singing
On the night He saved my soul

I see a figure walking towards me
With the fairest face to see
And a smile and outstretched arms
As He reaches out for me

I've climbed the stairway to Heaven
Greeted by God's only son
I know there's Glory awaiting
When my life on earth was done

Don't miss this journey that's so perfect
With angels on each side
Jesus our Master most Holy of all
Will meet you and be your guide

Words can't express how much I love and will miss my Aunt Doris. She was always my idol. I wanted to be a nurse just like her. She always made me laugh and she came to my rescue so many times. She was not only my Mom's Sister but her best friend and I know they are together now laughing, joking and watching over all of us. Happy, without pain and waiting for all of us to join them someday. One morning God looked down on me,
And heard my painful moan,
I told Him I was overwhelmed,
I felt so much alone.

He sent a flower to bring me cheer,
But I did not see its bloom,
So then He sent a whole bouquet,
Which did not dispel my gloom.

Next, He gave me bright sunshine,
And I complained about the glare,
So then He offered shade to me,
But I did not see it there.

I cried some more in loneliness,
God thought, "What can I send?"
So in His wisdom and His grace,
He sent to me a friend.

He sent to me a Godly friend,
An extension of Himself,
A friend, who'd guide me back to Him,
She knew Him so well, herself.

She'd give to me her fondest love,
And would love me without end,
She would not be God's substitute,
Yet, on her, I could depend.

She'd laugh with me and cry with me,
And our secrets, we would share,
She'd be someone I'd fully trust,
She always would be there.

She might not fully understand
My manner nor my way,
But He'd send her just to be my friend,
Bade her love me anyway.

God told me that He loved me,
He was sending me the best,
And there you were, with open arms,
I knew I had been blessed.

Like unto the beautiful butterfly,
When from the cocoon breaks free,
The Lord washed away my sins,
He filled my heart with purity.

I saw the world in new light
And I heard the Spirit say,
"Spread your wings and fly.
You were set free to soar today!"

I harkened to the voice that spoke,
Through lifted spirits I took flight,
Drawing closer to my Lord,
Flying toward His radiant light.

His glory shown 'round about me.
Such joy did fill my soul.
And as I looked upon His face,
His true beauty I did behold.

His marvelous love poured o'er me,
Enlacing each fiber in its clutch,
I basked in God's sweet glory,
Elated by His glorious touch.

I fell to my knees to worship,
My Lord, my God and King.
All honor and glory are due Him.
Forever His praises I'll sing.

The love of the Lord infused me,
As I spread my wings to fly.
I knew from one touch of the Master,
On Him, I could always rely!

Sweet is the name of Jesus
Precious Son of God is He
Melodies of grace and mercy
Sing of how he set me free.

Sacrificial lamb-- yet sinless
Died a sinner’s death for me
I am free from sin and sorrow
All because of Calvary.

Lord and Master, Savior, Jesus
You are everything to me
Trusting in Your precious promise
You became my victory!

O how sweet the name of Jesus
I will lift your banner high
Shout it to the highest heavens
On Your name I must rely.

Sweet is the name of Jesus
Precious Son of God is He
Bread of Life, sustaining power
Woos the lost to Calvary

Heaven’s portals beckon sweetly
Come unto the Throne of Grace
Kneel before the Lord and Master
Leave your worries there today.

Eyes of understanding
I pray for all to see
To know the pain and torment
As you hung upon the tree.

Blood-droplets pouring downward
Anguish on your face
While sins of one and all
Upon your body placed.

O precious Grace and Mercy
You yearned for all to know
The Father is not angry
And He loves you so.

Had there been no bloodshed
The perfect sacrifice
Had there been no Calvary
Or the Son, Jesus Christ...

Forever-hopeless sinners
Each of us would be
O precious Lord and Savior
Thank God for Calvary!

I shout my praises boldly
Praise God, Praise God, for thee!
O Holy Son of God
My knee I bow at Calvary.

rose in all her beauty
Can not be compared
To the gift that God has given
In the friendship we have shared.

With fellowship in Jesus
A special bond have we
To laugh and share the moments
Your dreams revealed to me.

I count each day a blessing
What joy God did impart
To know I have received
A small portion of your heart.

I'll cherish and protect it...
Count it as pure gold
Be there when you need a friend
Your hand I'll happily hold.

Prayer will be your covering
From morn to setting sun
When you lay your head to rest
May sweet sleep soon come.

~ Father's Love ~

Oh, what blessed joy in knowing
Unconditional love so sweet;
When in sorrow, I go longing
Just to sit at Father's feet.

As I seek, I find compassion,
For He knows my every care.
Pouring out His wondrous mercy,
I can always find Him there.

In His presence, peace surrounds me.
Abundant grace He freely gives.
Working out His glorious life-plans,
In His child, each day, He lives.

Father's love is like no other;
No one else could take His place.
He has taught just how to live life.
Thank you, Father, for this day.

Ephesians 2: 13,14, 15. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace. As tornadoes and storms whipped through Oklahoma damaging hundreds of homes, I heard the roaring sounds and watched the ominous clouds pass over. We were fortunate to dodge the storms time and again. I was thankful to be safe; and sorrowed for those less fortunate.

There were stories of canceled checks dated back to the 70’s landing in yards from miles away. A few days later, another storm blew in, this time making an appearance at our home; catching me home alone; and sending me to the closet.

It suddenly became my shelter and my prayer closet. When I came out, I found only minor damage, a rose bush pounded to the ground, a large hog house lifted over a fence like a feather, and tossed in a nearby creek upside down.

In those moments I spent in the closet,

I experienced the peace of God, and knew I wasn’t alone. I remembered one of my favorite Psalms and began to pray the words. It was in praying the Word of God that I knew I was praying according to his will.

Psalm 81:2

“I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him will I trust.”

Psalm 91: 14

“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him, and honor him.” KJV

Drawing on the promises of God, strengthens when I am weak, gives me a hope when I begin to wane, calms my fears, and reminds me of God’s immeasurable love.

Indeed, God is an amazing God!

Thoughts Of Mother

For some, mother is a homemaker
who is always there to soothe hurt
feelings or bandage a scraped knee.

For others, mother is a breadwinner
who goes off to work each morning,
and comes home at night with eager
anticipation. But for most of us, mother
is someone who is a constant in a sea
of change. She teaches us about life
and love. she is the one who makes
daily sacrifices as we grow, who
helps us as we take our first faltering
steps as a child and then as a young
adult.

Through her endless patience and love
we in turn learn not only to love ourselves
at our most awkward moments, but to
love others as well. It is this love that
can only be passed down from mother
to child, generation after generation.

I know she would have wanted
To sit right by my side
She did all she could to be here
I know how hard she tried

She wouldn't have missed a moment
A laugh, a smike or tear
But if you look around this room
You'll notice that she's not here

But if you'll take a moment
To take a closer look
You'll see her within
The pages of this book

You'll see what she nurtured
Waht she gave to so lovingly
You'll see the product of her devotion
Within the heart of me

So although you may not see her
If you look you will see
That Mother is here with us
She lives inside of me.

No Other Love Like Mother's Love

Mother's love is something
that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain.

It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away...

It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking...

It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems...

It is far beyond defining
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation...

A many splendored miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.

Memories And Wishes

As I stand and look at the grave where you lie, And ponder the times of things long gone by - I listen to memories before you passed through death's door; And remember the good times and I want to know more...

I want my children, grandchildren and theirs, To remember their heritage and know their fore-bears. As some day, I too, from here must part, I trust that good memories will live in their hearts.

Like leaves in the wind and summer's flowers soon pass from view, We're not here to stay, we're just passing thru--- So may I live that when they pass this way, To them from my grave, I can truly say--

Remember me as you pass by - As you are now, so once was I; As I am now, so you will be; Prepare for death and follow me.

ANGEL OF MERCY

Angel of mercy
Come from above
Down to the earth
And show us your love

Tend to the needy
Bring us God's word
To heal ones in trouble
No worries no more

Those that are hurting
With sickness within
Bring them God's miracle
Show us His love

The lonely and poor
Bring them God's wealth
Tell them of heaven
Where all are the same

Give all the courage
To face each new day
To have faith in our Lord
And take all pain away

Angel of mercy
We beseech you on earth
Come down from heaven
And bring us some mirth

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

This blessing will only keep working
if it is continuously passed around.
If you are a recipient of a blessing,
keep the blessing working by being the
source of blessing to other people.

Beyond the sunset
O blissful morning
When with our Saviour
Heaven is begun
Earth's toiling ended
O glorious dawning
Beyond the sunset
When day is done

Beyond the sunset
No clouds will gather
No storms will threaten
No fears annoy
O day of gladness
O day unending
Beyond the sunset
Eternal joy

Beyond the sunset
(Beyond the sunset)
O glad reunion
(Oh glad reunion)
With our dear loved ones
(With our dear loved ones)
who've gone before
(Who've gone before)
In that fair homeland
we'll know no parting
Beyond the sunset
Forever more

The Treasures In You

There are treasure in life
But owners are few
Of money and power
To buy things brand new

Yet you can be wealthy
And feel regal too
If you will just look
For the treasures in you

These treasures in life
Are not hard to find
When you look in your heart
Your soul, and your mind

For when you are willing
To share what's within
Your fervent search
For riches will end

The joy and the laughter

The smile that you bring
The heart unafraid
To love and to sing

The hand always willing
To help those in need
Ones quick to reach out
To labor and feed

So thank you for sharing
These great gifts inside
The caring, the cheering
The hug when one cried

Thanks for the energy
Encouragement too
And thank you for sharing
The treasures in you

Embroidering Your Life

When I was little, my mother used to sew a great
deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor
and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was
embroidering.

As from the underside I watched her work within
the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held
in her hand, I complained to her that it sure looked
messy from where I sat.

She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "Child,
you go about your playing for a while, and when I am
finished with my embroidering, I will put you on my
knee and let you see it from my side."

I would wonder why she was using some dark threads
along with the bright ones and why they seemed so
jumbled from my view. A few minutes would pass and
then I would hear Mother's voice say,
"Child, come and sit on my knee."

This I did only to be surprised and thrilled to see
a beautiful flower, or a sunset. I could not believe
it, because from underneath it looked so messy.

Then Mother would say to me, "My child, from
underneath it did look messy and jumbled, but you
did not realize that there was a plan on the top.

It was a design. I was only following it. Now look
at it from my side and you will see what I was doing."

Many times through the years I have looked up to
heaven and said, "Father, what are You doing?"

He has answered, "I am embroidering your life."

I say, "But it looks like a mess to me. It seems
so jumbled. The threads seem so dark. Why can't they
all be bright?"

The Father seems to tell me, "'My child, you go about
your business of doing My business, and one day I
will bring you to Heaven and put you on My knee and
you will see the plan from My side."

When I spoke to you that day
I knew in my heart that it was for the last time
I made sure to let the girls say they love and miss you
I could hear the happiness in your voice
God had shined his light on you that day
He was calling you home
Grandma I miss you with all of my heart
You are with God now
And one day I will see you again

A mother's love I'll always know
For through the years it continues to grow

The seasons of life bring us good times and bad
Yet the strength we endure see us

through all the sad
Often words can't describe the love that touches my heart

Its depth is so deep that it sets me apart
Your soft sweet hands that held mine so

Were my strength and comfort so long ago
Now I am a mother with children so sweet

Now knowing the secrets that all mothers meet
How tender love, encouragement, and words of advice

Bring wisdom and joy that replace sacrifice
Let the rain of my tears

Cleanse my anger and sorrow
That you will be taken from us

In all the days that are tomorrow
To my mother I thank you for all that you've been

I know that our journey here on earth will soon end
The beauty of the world assures me that you will be near

I know as life continues I will feel your presence here
I will listen in the breeze

And feel the spirit of your soul
A whisper in the wind will encourage

My brokenness to become whole
I will recognize your smile

In the stars every night
Their sparkle will remind me

You are in God's incredible light
Your pain is now gone; your spirit is free

Your love will forever be a blessing to me
I love you sweet Mumsie forever and always

Your life will be remembered through my eternity
Yes, a mother's love I'll always know

For through the years it continues to grow...
Dedicated to my mother

wasn't there
When you passed away,
When God took you by the hand
And said follow me this way.

I couldn't bring
Myself to see,
What horrible things
This disease had done to thee.

I'd like to remember you
The way you were.
I think this to myself,
But is it really true?

As you laid in the shadow of death
I pray you felt no fear,
God rest your soul
As you took your final breathe
And shed your last tear.

Where are you going?
What will you see?
Your pain is over,
But what about me?

You didn't show fear
While those around you wept,
My fondest memories of you,
In my heart is where they will be kept.

Ashes to Ashes
And Dust to Dust,
You have passed to a better place
And in this we must trust.

I wasn't there
When you passed away,
When God took you by the hand
And said follow me this way'

As she lay alone, suffering in silence
she remembered pictures of herself

still bouncing off the walls,
and her childhood laughter ringing in the halls.

She remembered the good old days, when she had color in her hair,
and when she had the ability to appreciate

the Heavenly fragrances of nature that always filled the air.
She remembered her laughter,

and she remembered her tears,
and she remembered the successes and failures that filled out

her thorough life's years.
The moment the flow of her fountain completely ceased,

all of her pain and troubles were right then released.
Now in a place where she no longer has to cry,

she watches her own funeral,
and is remembered and prayed for

in peaceful lullaby.

From birth we go through seasons
Accepting on faith God's reasons
For the seas we sail on in our quest
Seeking riches, health and happiness.

In our youthful spring we marvel
At our new world as we revel,
Sailing on seas calm and blue
With parents as captain and crew.

In the long summer of mid-life
There is strife just to survive
As we feel the joy and strain
Of living through life's rain.

In fall and winter of our years
We are thankful for being here,
The golden years of retirement
Bring peace and contentment.

When the sunset of our lives fade
We ponder the choices made,
Praying our many mistakes
Not keep us from Heaven's gate.

Yes, quickly do our years pass
From first breath until the last,
Fleeting as a sparrow through air
First we are here - Then we are there.

Can you hear the whistle sound
For them souls Heaven bound?
Get onboard the great glory ride,
Set your earthly shackles aside.

The grand train will leave one day
Boarding Christians along the way,
Roaring down those shining tracks,
Bound for Heaven it won't be back.

Get your ticket while you still can
If you want a ride to glory-land,
We'll meet at the Lord's station,
There's no time left for hesitation.

This long black train has no gears
It's full throttle ahead leaving here,
Gabriel will be our brave engineer,
We'll depart amidst angel cheers.

The price of the ticket is paid for you,
Jesus died on the cross for sins you do,
Surrender to The Redeemer your all
Before you miss the last boarding call.

We'll glide on the ride to Heaven's shore
Where we will endure troubles no more,
So shed your shackles that tightly bind,
Get onboard before you are left behind.

went to the church to pray
Worried about judgment day,
I went to a church in the valley
Hoping my spirits to rally.

I opened the door to let me in
Needing to wash away my sins,
To my surprise before my eyes
There was jubilation on the rise.

They were shout 'in hallelujah cries
And wave 'in hands to the skies,
There was dancing in the aisles,
Some were cry 'in, some had smiles.

The preacher man was railing
On the congregations failings
As he wiped sweat from his brow,
Yelling God redeem us now!

The piano player shook the rafters
While they sang of the hereafter,
She was rock 'in the congregation
As she prayed for her salvation.

Everyone was running about
Shout 'in "drive the devil out"
While the choir with voices high
Sang of the sweet by and by.

The Holy Spirit began to move
And I was get 'in in the groove,
I dropped down to my knees
And God's grace came over me.

I was purified and sanctified
My salvation was ratified
Here at this church in the glen,
God washed away my sin.

In my lifetime quest
For peace and happiness,
I looked for the God of creation
Seeking my eternal salvation.

I sought God everywhere
Vainly searching in despair,
In no place could I find
This Savior to call mine.

I read the worlds religions
Trying to see a vision
Of where God might be
But the Lord escapes me.

I've searched for God in mind
But He eludes me every time,
My thoughts cannot make clear
Why the creator is not here.

I sought God from preachers
And world famous teachers,
I sought from priest and rabbi
But God's grace passes me by.

I studied the Bible and other books
And pilgrim journeys I took,
Searching for God in every place
But in none did I see his face.

I searched holy places and shrines
Looking for divinity signs
But each time I feel God is near
His presence disappears.

In desperation I fell to my knees
Crying, "why have you forsaken me?"
I've searched for you again and again!
I hear a gentle voice whisper----
" You did not invite me in"

Weakly I stand in the sand,
A cross of Jesus in my hand,
Thinking of deaths open door
As I listen to the oceans roar.

Words from a doctor so kind
Still echo through my mind,
Awful words fearful to hear
Made it clear my end is near.

Burning mixed emotions I feel,
Suddenly the world is unreal,
Senses reel from words said,
Horrible dreads fill my head.

Overcome with misgiving doubt
I sobbed and angrily cried out,
Holy Father in Heaven above,
Where now is your merciful love?

I fell to my knees crying why!
Why must I be the one to die?
I raised my hands to the sky
And softly asked God why?

As the sunset slowly faded away
I lay my tired body down to pray,
Forgive me God for losing control,
Forgive and accept a sinners soul.

A hush fell over the ocean shore,
I glimpsed behind Heaven's door,
A merciful God allowed me to see
A home in Heaven waiting for me.

I am not afraid that I must go,
If I must die then let it be so,
At my last breath I won't be alone
God is waiting to take me home.

Our summer sun is sinking low
A few more seasons and we'll go,
Some will rise to Heaven's shore
Others will knock on Satan's door.

The sands of time is blowing away
Soon there will be a judgment day.
Will we know Shangri-la for infinity
Or dwell in Hell for eternity?

The path chosen is up to us all
We must be ready at God's call,
Reborn for that great adventure
To join in the blessed rapture.

Loved ones that crossed before
Will welcome us at God's door.
There will be great celebration
For those accepting salvation.

Surely we wish not for hellfire
Or Satan's fiendish plan so dire.
Let us all begin this very day
Living our lives the Christian way.

We must accept God as our Savior
Let his word guide our behavior.
Do not wait till the trump blows
If it's Heaven we wish to go.

My evening star is sinking low,
Angels whisper time to go,
My life's light is fading fast,
I'm going home at last.

In this my life's midnight hour
I heal in the light of God's power,
Bathed in the glow of His love
As deaths angel hovers above.

I give my soul to God in prayer
Asking that he meet me there
At the foot of his golden throne
When Heaven will be my home.

No more will I suffer life's rain
At last no mortal pains
As I place feet on shining shore
My soul I lay at God's door.

Old age has stricken me down
Now I'm bound for higher ground,
My rivers of sorrow flow no more,
Soon to the Holy Father I'll soar.

My mind cries out hallelujah,
I relinquish my soul to you,
Bear me up and quickly away
I welcome this hallowed day.

Holy Father at the midnight strike
I yield to your wondrous might,
Clutch me to bosom ever so tight,
Take me home this awaited night.

The King of kings offers a way
To His kingdom every day
But we must accept His help
To set feet on Heaven's step.

How distant to glory with no ride?
How far to Heaven with no guide?
How far away that Promised Land
If we refuse God's helping hand?

How long the barbed pathway
With it's end at judgment day?
What distance the journey alone
Without Jesus to lead us home?

How far across life's stormy sea
With no captain for you and me?
How will we land on golden shores
Without God Almighty at the oars?

How far the perilous flight to fly
Thru sky to the sweet by and by?
How far is our blest eternal rest
Without help from our earthly nest?

How long is life's dark highway
Without God to bright the way?
How treacherous the unsafe night
Without our Father's guiding light?

How far is Eden where we'll bide?
How far if we don't except a ride?
How far to the long journeys end
If we won't let God help us begin?

There's a great journey to take
One that we all yearn to make
But we cannot complete it alone
For only God can lead us home.

There is a ride to Heaven for us
It's offered by our Lord Jesus
But if we expect to make the trip
We must board the Savior's ship.

Though your journey has been
A long and rough one friend,
At the end God will send
Angels to bring you in.

Up through heavens you'll fly
Among clouds and brilliant sky
To alight on peaceful shore,
Your divine home evermore.

Each beat your heart makes
Takes you closer to the gate,
Every sunrise and golden sunset
Brings your rest nearer yet.

Though you be vexed with frets
And ever beset by woeful regrets,
Keep your faith in the Lord strong
The Father will lead you home.

Though your mind worry and weary
And burdens make sad eyes teary,
God will comfort times so dreary,
Offering solace when life gets scary.

Your time of bliss soon will arrive
By God's grace you'll survive,
Until angels soar you safely to shore
Where you'll know peace evermore.

And now my time is near
God's angel voices I hear
Softly whispering my name
As life's flame they claim.

Holy Father take me home
For I have suffered so long,
Soothe my fevered brow
Let death enter me now.

Forever cloak me in your love,
Soar my spirit to Heaven above,
Tenderly lay me at your door
Bathed in your light evermore.

My life's been so long and hard
My poor heart broken shards.
My body is tired and sick within
Dear God let my journey begin.

Father I pray one last time
Forgive the sins that are mine,
Purify and make my soul whole
Carry my spirit to it's final goal.

Now my midnight number is here
Awash in God's love I have no fear,
Sweet sacred angels of my twilight
Carry me through the heavenly light.

September 2, 2008

Come down sweet angel band
Surround and take my hand,
Lift me up to that pearly door
Set my feet on God's safe shore.

Up through clouds out of sight
On gossamer wings snowy white,
Bear me up and swiftly away
I'm ready for Heaven this day.

My faith in the Lord is strong
Knowing I've done no wrong
That God has not forgiven
And I'm ready for Heaven living.

So tune up the angels choir
In this my happiest hour,
Blessed am I in His grace,
Soon we'll meet face to face.

Life here has been hard,
I've played my final card,
I'm ready to go on home
For Heaven I dearly long.

KENNETH JOHNS

Life is one-way tracks
Ever forward, never back,
As you're born the ride begins
And you must travel till it ends.

From births first cry
To your final goodbye
It's long to journeys end
With trials at every bend.

Temptation will surround
And tribulations abound
As you travel life's railway
To it's end on judgment day.

There are mountains to climb
And troubles will wind
Around you as a thorny vine
While enticements flow as wine.

Satan will offer pleasures
Of the flesh without measure
And temptation will be great
To sample sin from his plate.

Keep your eyes upon the rails
Trust in Jesus without fail,
Keep your hands clasp in prayer
And God will get you there.

Life's tracks can twist and wind
But God won't leave behind
Passengers who accept his hand
To board His train to Glory Land.

Life's journey is hard and long
And it's way littered with stone
But you'll never falter, never fail
When you ride God's silver rails.

How great is the love of Jesus for us,
With an awe we praise Him,
Upon the Cross He sacrificed for us,
For all, you, me, and them.

He draws us to Him to love and cherish,
His precious blood He shed,
He’s resurrection life ne’er to perish,
His agonies of red.

There is no other Jesus e’er to be,
He came as God’s Grace Gift,
He endured on that Cross on Calvary,
To Heaven He did lift.

Bless Jesus, how great is His love for all,
None will e’er love like Him,
He bore our shame, our sins, He took our fall,
Love Him, you, me, and them.

You hold me in love,
I surrender to you,
Yes, we both are blessed,
For Jesus loves us too.

He has blessed this union,
He sends us strength to endure,
Held in heavens embrace,
He is e'er there to assure.

His hand is always upon us,
Guidance is from Him alone,
We adhere to His word
His closeness sweetly known.

I am secure in both loves,
Held in heavens embrace,
Your arms holding me,
In love forever enlaced.

When my life has come full circle,
And my Maker I shall meet,
I'll finally be rewarded,
And sit there at His feet.

No more cares or worries,
No more toil or strife,
I'll spend all of eternity,
Blessed with Eternal Life.

I'll be with all my loved ones,
Who were taken before me,
We'll finally be together,
And each other we will see.

When I meet my Maker,
I hope to see you there,
It's important that I see you,
Because I truly care.

My Maker's waiting there for me,
In that Mansion in the sky,
I'll be there in all my glory,
Until then, I'm flying high!

Lord my world is hectic,
Filled with stress everyday,
I would never make it,
Without You leading the way.

You pick me up when I am down,
You lift my spirit to the heights,
You renew me Lord in all ways,
From early morn through the nights.

Your love is my foundation,
Your blessings form a wall,
You are forever close to me,
Answering each time I call.

Each step I take Lord Jesus,
Depends solely upon You,
You are my Lord and Master,
With You Lord, I'll make it thru.

I know You are with me,
I feel Your presence always,
I close my eyes and thank You,
You are the anchor that stays.

Oh Lord I am not worthy,
Of all the blessings You send,
Yet You are always beside me,
Through life together we wend.

If I could but touch Your garment,
Wash the dust from Your feet,
I give You praise my sweet Jesus,
One day Your face I'll greet.

Until that time Dear Father,
I will journey here below,
You have Your hand upon me,
Guiding each path I go.

There’s a staircase leading to heaven,
To our home beyond the way,
And if you want to join us there,
You can start your climb today.......

You will find the way not easy,
As the golden stairs we climb,
But if our faith can make the test,
We will make it there in time.......

To start the marriage supper of God,
And to be forever in His care,
If you are on this staircase now,
Your name is written there.......

Come and climb with us today
Leave your sin and heartaches behind
Come, get on the staircase to heaven
Feast at the supper and royally dine…….

I set out for a long walk
To see what I could see
And, by my side was Jesus
Walking there with me.

We traveled across oceans
And all across the land
We crossed over some deserts
As the sun burned on the sand.

Along our walk I realized
How bad things can be
I'm fortunate God spared me
From a life of poverty.

I got a glimpse of heaven
And, Oh that place is grand
Jesus told me that is why
It's called the Promised Land.

I go to the Rock that is higher than I
I find in Him, my full supply,
He is my Rock, my strength and guide,
I'll go to Him, what ever betide.

This Rock holds the world in His hands
Things that happen are part of His plan,
He is in control all over the land,
I'll go to the Rock, He holds my hand.

I go the Rock that is higher than I
He waits to hear each time I cry,
He wraps me in His arms of love,
I go to the Rock....From up above.

If tears will take me to the Rock
Then Lord just let it be,
I'll yield to Your unfailing love,
I'll go to the Rock, Higher than me.

Will you stay close to the Rock?
While the clouds are hanging low,
Pray and press in closer and closer,
Allow Him always to take full control.

I'll fear not death,
Or the life to come,
I'm not going to a strange distant land,
For I am going home.

I'm not afraid of where I'll go,
For I have trusted God.
I'll put my trust in him,
What ever be my lot.

No more stumbling on my way,
For I'm headed home this glorious day.
I'll meet my savior, as I've longed to do,
But I'll see you again, for I'll be waiting for you.

We both will meet you there,
I mean, the Lord and I,
For I will live again,
Where I shall never die.

Be patient and do not fear,
For I'm not going far,
I'll still be always near you,
No matter where you are.

Now I've got to go,
My Lord awaits me there,
Just know how much I love you,
And I will always care.

My spirit shall leave this earthly temple,
For only the body dies,
We will meet at heaven's gates,
You, the Lord and I.

I could hear a host of angels,
Rejoicing as I came,
Singing praises to God,
As He called out my name.

I didn't want to leave you,
But I did want to go,
For there is something greater in heaven,
Just waiting for me I know.

If you could picture Calvary,
And Jesus on that cross,
Would you dare switch places,
And die to save the lost...?

As you gaze upon His face,
And see those nail scarred hands,
Would it give you compassion,
Enough to take a stand...?

If you felt His wounded side,
Would it make you cry,
To think how Jesus suffered,
Just hanging there to die...?

Would it, make you stop and wonder,
What if that person were you,
Could you say it from your heart,
That you could carry it through...?
