Jayden McPhaul Obituary
He was the son of Jessica M. Hicks and Robert K. McPhaul II of Petersburg, and was the sister of the late Jayda M. Hicks-Squire.
He is survived by his mother, Jessica M. Hicks; father, Robert K. McPhaul II, both of Petersburg; maternal grandmother, Laverne Hicks-Dabney; maternal grandfather, Larry D. Dabney, both of Hopewell; paternal grandmother, Shirley G. Walker (Saint) of Freeman; paternal grandfather, Robert K. McPhaul of LaPlata, Md.; great-grandparents, Katherine Street of Waverly, and Pattie and Charlie Ridley of Freeman; uncles, Antonio D. Hicks of Petersburg and Damon Walker of Freeman; aunts, Linda Townsel (David) of Fredericksburg, Erica Taylor-Batts (Maurice) of Charlotte, N.C., Erica Escobar (Anthony) of Norfolk; a host of great-aunts and uncle, cousins and friends to include special friend, Charles E. Taylor; godparents, Cosray Govan and Clarissa Claiborne.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Tucker Funeral Home with Dr. Phillip Williams officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Minnis Memorial Cemetery, Chesterfield. Relatives and friends will assemble at 6129 Duncan Road, Apt. G, Petersburg, at 2 p.m. Services under the direction of Tucker Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg.

Jessica and Robert,
I cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss you are feeling; but please remember that God cares and He's concerned about you. Jayda will take good care of Jayden until we can see both of them again. That's God's promise when we keep believing. We love you and you are in our prayers.

Jessica I can't imagine the pain that you must feel at this moment. Just know that God is concerned, He loves you, and He knows what's best. Some day we will understand it all. Jayden joins the ranks with his sister as one of God's special little angels. Because we are saved, we have that blessed assurance of seeing them again one day. May God forever bless you and your fiancee'. We're just a call away if you need us.
