Dear David:
I tried to send a poem called The Father's Love Letter to you and your family, but it was not approved to be included. So I am sending a link to the site so you can go there and read it.
http://www.fathersloveletter.com
It is a beautiful letter, and you may have already read it. I use the letter quite often for christian outreach and just sharing with others. Also, I appreciate your call last night. I was so surprised. I hope you were able to reach Travis. Please feel free to call anytime, and do stay in touch.
Much Love, The Whittles.

Dearest David, Leroy and Family:
I would like to express to you my sincere condolences at this time of loss. Agnes is a wonderful person. I worked with her at Hon years ago, and through the years when David, Chris Mason and my Buster (Travis) Whittle were in school and football, I saw her quite often. But since the boys graduated I have only seen her once. And we had a very good visit. This was about 2-3 years ago, and we talked for a good while. I enjoyed our visit, talking of old times, our children, grandchildren, husbands and our lives. I feel so blessed to have had that visit with Agnes. I know each of you have found comfort in knowing that just as Jesus is holding Agnes at this time, He is also holding each of you in your loss and sorrow. Agnes has been released from this world and has gone home to a grand welcome home party. God bless and keep each of you and if we can be of any assistance in the weeks and months to come please feel free to contact us at 804-586-6001.

WELCOME HOME

Welcome home, dear soul, welcome home,
To the place God wants you to be,
Prepared for you a long time ago,
Your place for eternity.

Down through the years God watched you,
He claimed you before you were born,
You were molded, guided, and taught,
Through His love you grew and were formed.

He gave you a good life on earth,
And saw that your needs were met,
He gave you fair shares of sadness and mirth,
And gave up His Son for your debt.

God counted each hair on your precious head,
And he planned in advance all your years,
He knew each day what lay ahead,
And He was aware of your prayers and tears.

Though you've left your loved ones behind,
It's just in a physical way,
And now you'll be closer to them,
In a more wonderful, spiritual way.

A banquet's been spread in your honor,
God is the Heavenly Host,
The guests are those gone before you,
That on earth you had missed the most.

Welcome home, dear soul, welcome home,
Tell your family and friends not to grieve,
You're welcomed now at your Father's throne,
Totally whole and pain free.

THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE

(John 14:6)

"I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE,"
What more does man want or man need?
"No man can come to the Father,"
He said, "Unless he comes by me."

Man saw the WAY, and the WAY was right,
And, "I am the WAY," the Lord said,
Some men agreed to accept His WAY,
And to follow wherever it led.

It led to the TRUTH, and the TRUTH was GOD,
And, "I am the TRUTH," the Lord said,
Apart from Him, no TRUTH, no trust,
And to a new LIFE man was led.

Man now to have Eternal LIFE,
And, "I am the LIFE," The Lord said,
"Come to the Father; come by me,"
No death, but LIFE instead.

He was the WORD, and the WORD was GOD,
And He was the LIGHT from above,
The WORD and the LIGHT, and the WAY and the LIFE,
Are the TRUTH, which is GOD, which is LOVE.

Dear Big Mama, Thanks for being there for me as a surrogate parent when my own mother was ill. While my parents had to divide and conquer most graduations, as my sister and I usually graduated from 2 different locations at the same time, you were there for high school, college and graduate school graduations.
You always kept sweet dill pickles in the house for me.Yours was the only roast beef I would willingly eat. You'll be missed.

Upon my fingertip, today I caught a tear.
I pondered all its meaning, held with in its bounds.
Sparkling with all the love, of many a past year.

But listen very closely and hear the sorrowed sounds.
My tears are those of missing you,
A void thats never filled.
From day to day Im at a loss, not knowing what to do.
My heart's a rocky soil, parched and untilled.
My thoughts are often afar off, but mostly are of you.

I caught a tear today upon my fingertip.
I strained to see the memories youve left me.
Your name and all you were and are, rest upon my lip.
Someday again I know Ill see you, just you wait and see.

Ive got so many tears I know Ill never run out.
Each one I catch Ill be thinking of you.
For that there is no doubt.
Please, wont you remember me too.
I miss you

God Knows

You have my deepest sympathy,
but it really doesn't help.
Your grief goes beyond
what words can express.

There's nothing anyone can say,
and nothing we can do
to heal your broken heart
or take away your pain.

Let God take you in His arms
and cover you with His love.
He knows the depth of your grief
and only He can give you peace.
He knows it will take time
for your heart to heal, and
your loved one has a place
that no one else can fill.

If there's any comfort let it be in this,
your loved one is with Jesus,
in a home that's filled with bliss.
There are no tears in Heaven,
no more heartache and no pain,
only love and happiness
for all eternity.

We must go on living and
do the best we can,
then when Jesus calls our name
we will be with them again.

Dear God you are the Glory
Of all the joy on earth
The songs of special beauty
Each one of them such worth

A mountain so majestic
The trees that stand so tall
We thank you for this gift Lord
God's presence in them all

Little piece of heaven
Is scattered on this earth
This picture all perfection
Of love that gives rebirth

We thank you for Your presence
Of love that we can see
The heaven of Your peacefulness
Is on this earth for me

I sit here and I ponder
What softness in this glow
For all the love I feel now
What more in life to know

Each crystal bead of water
That shines so diamond bright
The beauty that's cascading
Has shown Your Precious Light.

On The Wings Of Prayer

Just close your Eyes and open your heart,
And feel your worries and cares depart.
Just yield yourself to the Father above,
And let him hold you secure in his love.

For life on earth grows more involved,
With endless problems that can't be solved,
But God only asks us to do our best,
Then he will take over and finish the rest...

So when you are tired, discouraged and blue,
There is always one door that is open to you,
And that is the door to The House of Prayer,
And you'll find God waiting to meet you there.
And The House of Prayer is no further away,
than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.

For the heart is a temple when God is there
As we place ourselves in his loving care.
And he hears every prayer and answers each one
When we Pray in His name - Thy will be done.
The burdens that seemed too heavy to bear
Are lifted away on the wings of a prayer.

Fountain Of Love
You, O Lord are a Fountain of Love,
You pour Your love on me.
You fill me up till I overflow,
With a love that sets me free.
It flows right through me, steady and strong,
Satisfying my soul.
It runs like water, refreshing and pure,
Making me feel so whole.

There's never a time when I don't feel,
The love You freely give.
Forever it goes on and on,
Through all the days I live.
Heartaches come and shake up my world,
But Your love stays so strong.
You wrap Your arms around my soul,
And love me on and on.

I don't deserve this awesome love,
Raining down on me.
For I don't always seek You Lord,
The way that I should be.
But on those days when I feel lost,
I feel love even more.
For you O Lord are a Fountain of Love,
Flowing forevermore.

God's Message
God left a loving message,
tucked inside the heart of me.
He defined His love and mercy
and what He did to set me free.

Accept My loving hand my child,
in times of sorrow, pain and fear.
Find comfort in the knowledge
that I am always near.

I was with you when you faltered,
I held you when you fell.
The love I have for you my child,
saved you from the pangs of hell.

I loved you when you struggled.
I was with you in despair.
The sacrifice I made for you
confirms how much I care.

I loved you when you failed me.
I loved you when you won.
Because I love you dearly,
I sent my only Son.

I hung upon a rugged cross.
I suffered in your place.
I paved your way to heaven
with love and saving grace.

A Special Prayer For You
Hello God, I called tonight. To talk a little while...

I need a friend who'll listen to my anxiety and trial.
You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own,
I need your love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please, to keep my family safe and sound.
For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face each hour throughout the day,
and not to worry over things I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home and listening to my call,
for giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall.

Your number is the only one that answers every time.
I never get a busy signal, never had to pay a dime.

So thank you God, for listening to my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You too, and I'll call again tomorrow!

Rainbows

The rainbow stands for happiness,
It reminds us of Gods love.
He'll always keep His promise,
we can count on His word.

He didn't say it would be easy, but
he'll be with us through the storm.
There may be lots of thunder,
but we don't need to be alarmed.
It takes sunshine and rain
to make the flowers grow.
So that we can grow strong,
God gave us some of both.

God will surely bless us
if we just do our best,
then give it all to Him and
let Him do the rest.
I know that he will guide us
if we'll ask and believe.
We must have faith in Him
if we expect to receive.

So when life gives you scraps,
PRAY and then make quilts.
God can take these tattered pieces
and make beautiful gifts.
Expect some storms in life
but know this too, shall pass.
look forward to the future
God always knows what's best.
We may not understand,
but this one thing I know,
we must endure the rain
to see the rainbow.

My Best Friend Is The Lord
Although I live alone
I'm rarely ever bored
For tho I'm on my own
My best friend is the Lord

When I take my daily walk
He is always by my side
As he listens to me talk
On subjects far and wide

I asked him why he loves me
Knowing I have sinned
He said he loves where I am now
It's not important where I've been

He knows when I'm content
And there when I'm depressed
He just listens to me vent
I always feel so blessed

Whenever I am sad
Missing friends now far away
I'm thankful and so glad
I have the Lord with me today

I Prayed For You

I asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....
His love is always with you
His promises are true,
And when we give Him all our cares
You know He will see us through
So when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Just remember I'm here praying
And God will do the rest.

Beauty Of Night

A bright full moon on a quiet night.
I stand in awe, under it's light.
As I tilt my head back and gaze up above.
I see diamonds of light sprinkled in love.

The warmth of the day still lingers around.
In the peace of the night, I hear many a sound.
It's the crickets and night birds singing a tune.
They too, rejoice under the silvery moon.

The trees seem glorious, so majestic and tall.
Silhouetted in moonlight, and the peace of it all.
It's a wondrous thing, the beauty of night.
Daylight's asleep, blanketed from sight.

As the day settles down all over the land.
I stand under the stars and ponder God's plan.
When I look to the heavens, I am truly amazed.
God gave us such beauty to add joy to our days.

When the sun goes down, giving way to night.
It's two different worlds I can have in my sight.
As the hurriedness of life in the light of the day,
Fades to peace and serenity, I quietly pray.

Father I thank you for the beauty of night.
Even though it is dark, I can still see Your Light.
It shines in the night, You created with Love,
In the Celestial Glory and the Heavens Above.

Look Up

Look up my loved one
Look up and see me
Look up, I am there
I will enfold you in my arms
I will uphold you
I have all that you need
Leave your cares with me
I will take care of it
You need not worry
I am your sufficiency
I desire to provide all
Drop your burden in my hands
It is not heavy for me
I will heal your broken heart
I will return your joy
Let go of all your concerns
You cannot fill their needs
I am your God
I will not let you fall too far
My eye is always on you
Look up and see
I am your Father
I love you more than you can imagine
Your enemy cannot win
I conquered him long ago
Put away your fears
They have no power
I will renew your strength
I will return your hope
You are my child
I will never leave you
You are precious to me
Look up my precious one
Abide in my love
Reflections
I want to be a prism, Lord
Bars of gilded light
Glistening with Your glory
Through the darkest night

I want to be a looking glass
You may peer into
To see Your perfect image there
Shining back at You

I want to be a candlestick
By Your Spirit lit
So others find their way to You
From the glow of it

I pray to be all three, dear Lord
Reflections clear to view
But make it so when others look
They won't see me, but You

JESUS Sends An Angel
Today I touched an Angel
and it made my soul want to fly.
As he came down to me
I could see the love of GOD
in his eyes.

He said JESUS is calling
and it is time for you to go home.
And as he put his hand in my hand
every burden I had was gone.
JESUS sent an Angel
to take me to my home above.
And all about me there was JESUS'
light of love.

My soul is happy and free
as all of GOD's wonders
I finally see.
Oh, how beautiful it is to me.

Am Not Gone
I am not gone, I am changed.
Have faith and please believe me.
God did not take me away from you,
He split the skies and received me.

Now...
I'm an echo in your laughter,
a reflection in your tears,
an extra thread of strength
to help you overcome your fears.

I'm an added ray of sunshine,
more joy for you to share,
a fragrance of the life you live.
Wherever you are - I am there.

Without You In My Life
Without you in my life
There would be no stars in the sky,
No moon to lighten the night,
No sun to brighten my day.

Tears in my eyes blind my vision.
I look for you everywhere I go,
In everyone I see.

I pray each day to help me
Get back to where I used to be.
Without you in my life,
Being your wife.

I'm not ready to put you in my past.
I just want what we had to last.

Maybe some day I can start over
Without you in my life.
When the memories have faded
Into history of you and me and
I can awake to a bright sunny day,
Knowing everything will be ok.

"Mama and Granny"

So many words should have been said,
So many compliments given.
So many tears should have been shed
And so many sins forgiven.

There should have been a tribute,
Chiseled in a monument of stone,
Saying, "Mama and Granny",
The tribute - these words alone.

"Mama" for the love and care
And worries upon her shoulder,
Trying to raise her children,
Watching as they grew older.

"Granny" for the laughter
She shared from day to day.
God bless her for the kindness
She showed along the way.

Yes, so many things needed to be said,
Hurts that needed mending.
But, the Angels have lifted her
From knees that were ever bending.

I'm sure, a Heavenly choir sang
And the Pearly Gates opened wide,
"Welcome home, O treasured one.
Your rewards are waiting inside."

Until We Meet Again!
Hold out your hand, I'll give you mine,
Show me the twinkle in your eye,
mine will open wide.
Walk on ahead of me, I will surely follow.
Hold out your arms, my body will close in.

Show me that smile on your lips,
I will shout with laughter.
Show me a tear falling down you cheek
I will sob loudly.

Give me your thoughts and
they will become my future.
If you fall down, I will be there to lift you up
Stump your toe, I will feel the pain.
Give me your love, my life will belong to you.

All these things we took for granted,
No longer remain.
In my heart and mind, they will live forever.
You will always be here when I need you.
Maybe not in body, but in spirit, you remain.
We will be together forever,
Until death do us part.
Wait for me in heaven,
Until we meet again.

My Angel, My Mom
That night I sat with you upon your bed of white
Sadly waiting, as I knew you were going towards the light,
I touched your cheek and held your hand and said,
"I love you, Mom, but I have to let you go,
Because your work on earth is done."

My heart was pounding wildly and I wanted you to stay,
But I knew you'd be with Jesus before the dawn of day.
Your breathing became softer, until it came no more,
And you looked more beautiful than you ever had before.

You were free from pain and suffering,
For your soul was now set free
And though I would miss you deeply, I knew it had to be.

You had lived a long life, been a daughter, wife, and mother
Now your role was changing, more important than any other.

You were to be an angel, the daughter of a King
To live in Heaven above, looking down and watching over things.
So even though I miss you and at times feel my heart will break
I wouldn't wish you back with all your body had to take.

You are where you need to be, an angel in the sky
And I will see you once again in the sweet by and by.
Until that time I have the memories of you I will hold dear.
I love you, Mom, I always will. You always will be here.

I am your Angel now
And I'll be there when you cry.
When you think you're all alone
I'll be there by your side.

I know our time together
Wasn't nearly long enough,
But I'll be there in your heart
Until your work on earth is done.

You were my Prince...
The one I searched for all my days
You made up for all the frogs
I kissed along the way.

I know you're hurting now
But don't let it get you down.
Reach out for happiness
And take good care of yourself.

God's love is all around me
And all my days are happy now.
When your work on Earth is finished
I'll be waiting for you here.

How Was I To Know
How was I to know it would be the last time
to say "I love you,have a good day."

I remember you standing at the door,
watching as I drove away.
How was I to know it would be the last time
You would watch me drive away?
I took for granted each day we had together.
I wish I had only known, as I drove away,
to live and love each moment,
like a brand new day.

How was I to know

As you watched me drive away,
the Lord was taking you away?
If I could only go back in time,
when you were still mine,
I would live each day as if it were the last.

How was I to know

I would have to start my life over with out you?
Did God know how hard it would be for me
when he took you away?

The only thing I do know
You're safe in Gods hands now,
to shield and protect you.

A Better View
Dear loved ones lift your spirits, and take a peek up here.
One glimpse will soothe your sorrow for my new home will appear.

You'll see this land of promise, which we often talked about,
Its grandeur is far greater than we dreamed, without a doubt.

I expected golden pathways, mansions fair and gates of pearls,
But this place exceeds the visions I beheld while in that world.

Look with love and find great comfort as you gaze beyond the veil;
Fill your hearts with joy and join me in God's presence, where I dwell.

What a thrill to be here dancing in the midst of Heaven's throng,
See me mingling with the angles singing praise and worship songs.

Though you miss me I?m not distant; I still have my sights on you,
I just crossed into forever where I have a better view.

Keep good mem?ries to console you but let grief and mourning go;
Smile dear loved one, I?m in Heaven, living in God?s Gracious Glow.

Gods Garden

God looked around his garden
and saw an empty place.
He then looked down on earth,
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
Gods garden must be a beautiful place,
He only takes the best.

He knew that you would never
get well on earth again.
He saw the road getting rough
and the hills hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyes
and whispered "Peace Be Thine".

It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you're not going alone.
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.

If tears could build a stairway
and heartaches could make a lane,
we'd walk a path to Heaven
and bring you home again.

HE TOOK AWAY

He took away my weakness,
Power took its place.
He took away dispair,
With hope it was replaced.

He took away the hatred,
Love now fills my heart.
He turned my eyes toward Heaven.
Now, I must do my part.

I'll follow where He leads me,
Tell others of His love.
And, one day soon I'll join Him
In that mansion up above.

It's A Long Way To Heaven

It's a long way to Heaven

A long way to go.

A long way to Heaven

Such a rough and bumpy road.

Loved ones will be waiting

To welcome us inside.

What a great thing to happen,

Why, I could walk by Jesus' side.

A good life isn't easy,

Sometimes we are sad.

We feel as though we've lost

The only friend we ever had.

But, when we feel discouraged,

There is a place to go.

The Good Book says

We have a friend

And, from Him all blessings flow.

It's a long way to Heaven,

A long way to go.

A long way to Heaven,

Such a rough and bumpy road.

Loved ones will be waiting

To welcome us inside.

What a great thing to happen.

Why, I could walk by Jesus' side.

Now, good friends won't you join me

On that glory road?

I know it won't be easy,

We all have such heavy loads.

But, keep your eyes to Heaven

And Jesus in your heart,

And our reward will be forever

Lasting with our Lord.

It's a long way to Heaven,

A long way to go.

A long way to Heaven,

Such a rough and bumpy road.

Loved ones will be waiting

To welcome us inside.

What a great thing to happen,

Why, I could walk by Jesus' side.

HEAVEN'S DOOR

To strive for Heaven is our goal,
To enter through Heaven's door
Don't say I'll do it tomorrow
As You've done many times before.

If you wait cause you're not perfect,
Dear friend speed up the pace.
For you never will be perfect
And you'll surely lose the race.

God knows our every failure
But He loves us though we've sinned.
If we'll only follow Jesus,
The battle we can win.

He is in Heaven! He is alive!
He's prepared for us a place.
He's waiting for you to realize
That you are saved by grace.

Don't say, "I'll think about it,
I've other things to do."
Beyond that door our Saviour waits
And He's waiting just for you.

WHEN MY SAVIOUR I SEE

There's a place that I'm longing to see.
My Saviour prepared it for me.
Someday I will walk those streets paved with gold,
And, all of my loved ones I'll see.

There's a time when my life was so drear.
T'was then my dear Saviour came near.
He entered my heart, brought peace from the start,
And, showed me I'd nothing to fear.

When He said "I will always be near",
All of my fears disappeared.
Jesus my Saviour, my friend and my guide,
In my heart He'll always abide.

I'm Heaven bound and I can't wait
Until I enter through Heaven's gate.
And, when I go, don't cry for me,
Cause I'll be happy
When my Saviour I see.

I had thought that your death
was a waste and destruction,
A pain of grief hardly to be endured.
I am only beginning to learn
That your life was a gift, a growing
And a loving left with me.
The desperation of death
Destroyed the existence of love,
But the fact of death
Cannot destroy what has been given.
I am learning to look at your life again
Instead of your death and your departing.

No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.

My heart still aches in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

You and angels around Gods happy throne.
I would have held you closer if I had known

The Next Room

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped
away into the next room. I am I, and you are you.
What ever we were to each other, that
we still are. Call me by my old familiar name,
speak to me in the easy way which you
always used. Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me,
pray for me. Let my name be the household word
that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect,
without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means
all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was;
there is unbroken continuity, Why should I be
out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere
very near, just round the corner. All is well.

HEAVEN WILL BE BEAUTIFUL"

Heaven is going to be beautiful
The river of life will glow as crystal,
Many precious jewels shining so fair,
We long for that haven, to rest over there.

The walls are made of jasper
The foundations made of stone,
The gates of pearl will be glowing,
At home where the milk and honey flows.

He is our Lord of heaven and earth
He is the light of the city so fair,
In heaven the gates will never be shut,
The angels singing forever over there.

He weeps when we disobey Him
For on the cross He paid my debt,
Up there by the bright shining river,
Enjoying everlasting life forever.

As I seek God daily I find in Him
A bit of heaven that floods my soul,
Oh what a compassionate friend is Jesus,
He shed His blood and made me whole!

Can you hear the whistle sound
For them souls Heaven bound?
Get onboard the great glory ride,
Set your earthly shackles aside.

The grand train will leave one day
Boarding Christians along the way,
Roaring down those shining tracks,
Bound for Heaven it won’t be back.

Get your ticket while you still can
If you want a ride to glory-land,
We’ll meet at the Lord’s station,
There’s no time left for hesitation.

This long black train has no gears
It’s full throttle ahead leaving here,
Gabriel will be our brave engineer,
We’ll depart amidst angel cheers.

The price of the ticket is paid for you,
Jesus died on the cross for sins you do,
Surrender to The Redeemer your all
Before you miss the last boarding call.

We’ll glide on the ride to Heaven’s shore
Where we will endure troubles no more,
So shed your shackles that tightly bind,
Get onboard before you are left behind.

Oh what a joy in heaven someday,
Singing and shouting with Jesus there.
Sitting and enjoying the crystal river,
The love of my Jesus none can sever.

We'll lay down our crown,
Down at His beautiful feet.
We'll sit beside our King that day,
What a joyful time, to be carried away.

Into the presence of our glorious Lord
His holy spirit just thrills my soul,
We'll press towards new heights each day,
And be thankful, Jesus came our way.

Heaven is going to be a wonderful place
Meeting with Jesus filled with His grace,
A beautiful mansion He has prepared
Jesus I'm longing Your praises to share.

Oh it's just a few more days to labor
Then we'll journey to heaven together.
As all God's children gathers in,
That's when the praises will begin.

Window To Heaven"

The Angels left the Window open,
So daily we can clearly see,
All the beauties of Heaven,
Where we will share Eternity.

Oh such Glory on each face,
No more tears or burdens to bear.
Saints listen closely every day,
The coming of the Lord will soon appear.

Look into the Window of Heaven,
See the crimson river flowing,
If you are weary with care,
You can leave your burdens there.

I'm looking into God's Window,
Heaven's choir is singing and shouting,
Soon God's trumpet will blow,
Children, "Come now, It's time to go.

Looking into the Window to Heaven,
Don't you see His nailed scarred hands?
He is reaching down to hold you,
He promised to help you stand.

As I look into Heaven's Window,
I see Angels arrayed in white,
Oh how I long to join them,
Oh what an awesome sight!

One day we will be like Him,
And Praise Him for all Eternity.
We'll see the Golden Streets of Glory,
Look into the Window, you will see.

As I gaze into the Window of Heaven,
I see my Lord with arms open wide,
He says, "All things are ready now,"
"Come join the party on the other side."

Just looking into Heaven's Window,
I see all that He has promised me,
Mansions, crowns, streets of gold,
What a grand reunion we'll behold.

The Angels left the Window open,
So we can see all of Heaven,
Mansions prepared in that City so fair,
Please friends, Will you meet me there?

"I Feel Your Hurt"

Love each time I look into your face
It tears my heart apart,
I see your hurt and feel your pain,
How I pray for you be whole again.

I've tried so hard to help you heal
As you struggle through each day,
My heart just breaks to watch you suffer,
All I can do dear is trust and pray.

How I wish I could take away your pain
And see you enjoy life again.
But somethings are beyond our control,
I love you with my heart and soul.

I talk to Jesus always for you
I pray that He'll hold you in His love.
Many times I hold you and dry your tears,
For God has blessed us through the years.

"Cup Of Grace"

God did not promise every day a blue sky
My path strewn with pretty flowers
He promised strength for each new day,
He'd never leave, He would light my way.

He promised grace for every trial
His guidance for my path,
Through the joy and through pain,
His grace is enough for sunshine and rain.

Seems like things get just litttle harder
But God's grace is rich and free,
I will trust Him for each trial,
Jesus my Savior will pilot me.

So I'll trust Him for His blessings
And the love He sends my way,
Though at times the road is rough,
I have Jesus, He is enough!

"Coming To God"

How often we have come to God's
table and be filled. We are
always welcome and our needs abundantly
supplied. We know God's mercy and grace
will follow us all the days of our lives.
I thank Him for the trials it has
brought me so much closer to Him.
My God is gracious and full of compassion
I will continue to lift up my cup
and allow Him to fill it up until it overflows.

"Scripture God's Word"

You prepare a table before me in the
presence of my enemies. You anoint my head
with oil; my cup overflows... Psalm 23:5

"Thot For Today"

What God allows in our lives is always for our good.
We must seek His small still voice and not
allow the babble of the world to drown Him out
with their voices. Our trials are meant to bring
us to a clinging dependency upon the Lord.

God is my Rose He walks close to me
My soul sings as I think of His love,
As my will resigns to you O, Lord,
Your love to me is then out poured.

I'll do my best to please you Lord
Teach me to grow to be more like you,
May your fragrance shine through me,
I am the branch, I will cling to thee.

God you're my Rose, you direct my path
Without you Lord, I would be nothing,
I want to be rooted and grounded in you,
You are my Master, my special Rose too.

Thank you God for your gentle embrace
You'll my constant joy til I see your face.
He patiently listens as I call upon Him,
He is my shelter, He is my living spring.

*~Beautiful Heaven~*

My beautiful Lord is coming for me
He is coming to bring me home,
He'll wrap me with His cords of love,
And bring me to my home in heaven.

I'll lay down all my burdens and cares,
For a beautiful home prepared for me,
He'll welcome me with His strong love,
I will enjoy all the pleasures you see.

Many will greet me as I enter in,
Oh! What a thrill will be mine,
Being wrapped in His cords of love,
Singing, Oh what a Savior is mine!

I'll walk on streets of purest gold
Oh what a lovely sight, I'll behold,
Angels rejoicing around God's throne,
Many loved ones to greet me home.

~H- E- A- V- E- N~

H- Holy, holy is our Lord almighy
Who waits for us near heavens gate,
To fill our hearts with love and peace,
What a thrill to look upon His face.

E- Eternal pleasures waiting inside,
Loved ones waiting with arms open wide.
I've been waiting for you how happy I am,
At last you have meant the great I Am.

A- Angels singing praises to the King,
He is worthy, my praises I will bring.
I'll walk on streets paved in gold,
My time there will be just wonderful.

V- Verily, Verily, I say unto you,
I have your mansion prepared for you,
My Savior walks just ahead of me,
To prepare me for, My Eternity.

E- Even though Lord we face trials here,
Nothing will compare to a home so fair.
Until then I will press in close to You,
Just kind of waiting to enjoy the view.

N- Never again will we suffer hurt or pain,
For God alone will be the showering rain,
Won't you cast all your burdens upon Him,
He promised peace, as he comes to reign.

~Scripture God's Word~

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew
their strength, they shall mount up with wings
as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary,
they shall walk and not grow faint. "Isaiah 40:31

There is no greater love than this, that
a man should lay down his life for
his friend” John 15:31

Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap
a harvest if we do not give up.

"A Walk With Jesus"

Jesus will you walk with me today?
I feel, I need to talk to my best friend.
He whispers, Child, I will never leave you,
I'll walk with you until the end.

Jesus holds me in His loving arms
Gives me faith to press into the crowd
Jesus' love helps me feel so strong,
Nothing to fear for with Jesus I belong.

When Jesus walks by oh what a difference
Our hearts and souls He uplifts,
He is our walk, our peace and life,
In the darkest hour, He is my Light.

Jesus looks down from His throne
Come on my children, Let's take a walk.
Follow me, I have so much to offer,
So we walk together and share a lovely talk.

Nothing to fear while taking Jesus along
He will deliver give strength for the day.
We serve a healing, caring, and gentle friend,
Who will journey with us until the end!

Friend touching Jesus is all that matters
Follow Him, you will never be the same.
Staying in touch with Jesus lifts the load.
He bore my guilt and took my shame.

Won't you reach out and touch Him
While He is passing by your way,
He only wants whats best for you:
Walk with Him, He'll carry you through.

When you are lonely
"God is at your side"

When bad things happen
"Draw closer to Jesus"

When you are hurting
"Feel God's warm embrace"

When you need a friend to talk to
"The line to Jesus is always open"

When you feel all hope is gone
"God has hope for you"

When you need healing
"Believe in my healing Jesus"

When you feel unloved
"Hug close to Jesus"

When good things happen
"Give thanks and praises to Jesus"

When you need Salvation
"Accept my Jesus"

Quietly I sit here
See before my eyes
Memories of special things
That fill my heart with sighs
Today I saw you smiling
With love you gave to me
In this special attic
All love comes naturally
I hear your voice that whispers
I hear the words you say
The smile you gave so sweetly
The love that you portrayed
My heart so filled with blessings
They sit here in the past
This touch of fleeting moment
Forever it will last
Dreaming in this special place
The laughter I can hear
Set within a treasury
Of all that I hold dear
Gently as I walk away
Each gift I take with me
Saw your face again today
These dreams held reverently.

Of the many creatures God has made,
And we know He's made them all,
I think He has a leaning,
Towards the birds that are so small.
They are, of course, most vulnerable,
Their lives affected by their size,
He feels most protective of them,
And His heart, they symbolize.
For who can look high in the sky,
And see a pair of doves,
And not instantly, instinctively,
Think of peace and God and love.
No matter how small they seem to be,
And they are delicate, little things,
Their frailty is well shielded,
By God's thoughtful gift of wings.
Look at the baby humming bird,
A real miracle of God's,
How fast the flutter of its wings,
A clever engineering job.
Birds are honored in the Bible,
They are mentioned frequently,
They are treated with respect,
Kindly, gently, lovingly.
The royal beauty of the peacock,
The mighty eagle's power to soar,
The stork, nesting in the fir trees,
And the sparrow, so adored.
Did God pattern birds from angels,
Or were angels formed like birds?
Which came first in the universe?
What matter? They are both superb.
When I observe the singing birds,
As they build their nests each Spring,
I feel that I am privileged,
That I see angels on the wing.
And if they are so directed,
To my modest home to nest,
Then those are angels flying in,
And I have been richly blest.
They reassure me of God's presence,
And I watch them with great awe,
To know God's eye is on them,
Is to know He sees us all.

Lord, let the treasures I seek
be the heavenly kind,
With each thought that I think,
keep your will in mind.
Please make the words, that I speak,
lead some lost soul
Away from the world and into your fold.
Lord, keep me humble, to help those in need.
Don't let my heart fill with envy and greed.
Give me compassion; more love, faith, and trust.
Keep me far away from hate, sin, and lust.
This is a Christians prayer everyday;
To let our light shine and show someone the way.
Now, there may be times when I stumble, and fall.
But, I'm only human, Lord, you know, after all.
Lord, lift me up when my spirits are low.
Please give me only the good seeds to sow.
Bless me with Faith, Hope, and Love; Lord, I pray.
Now, this is a Christian's prayer everyday.

The little church sits quietly
In its picturesque glen
It's doors are never locked
And all are welcome in
The old preacher went there every day
He had done so for many a year
His sermons had led many to the Lord
And his love had dried many a tear
This day seemed to be different
As he studied in The Word
Today he felt even closer
To his precious, saving Lord
Slowly he closed his Bible
And slowly he rose to go
Outside. Then he began to talk
To the One that he loved so
He said, "Lord, I want to thank you.
For what you did at Calvary
For suffering and shedding your precious blood
To save a sinner like me."
"Through all these years I have done my best
To lead those souls that were lost in sin
To tell them how You came and died
To provide victory over sin"
"It hasn't always been easy Lord
Of that I am sure You are aware
I knew You would not fail me Lord
I knew You were always there"
"I have fought the devil tooth and nail
I have tried to fight a good fight
There was many a time I would have given up
But You were there to set me right"
"Thank You for my family Lord
They have stood by all these years
Thank You for providing for us Lord
And for drying all those tears"
"Lord, I am getting along in years now
I know some day soon you will come
So I can be up there with You
In my beautiful heavenly home"
"I hope when my time comes Lord
When it is time for me to finally rest
I pray that when You look in the Book of Life
You will say, come in, you have done your best"
"Well, I've kept You long enough, Lord
And I know You have a lot to do
I just wanted to tell You, "Thank You Lord"
For I know I owe my all to You"

Our Father, my Father,
sacred is Your name
The essence of creation
You will always be the same.
Your kingdom is forever
and when our life is done
We'll join You in Your Heavens
with You and the Son.
Let Your will be known to me
that I may bring to You
My heart and soul within Your hands
in Spirit and in Truth.
The daily bread for which I pray
to help me to sustain
The strength I need to supplement
the power of Your name.
Forgive me, Lord, I know I've sinned
and ask that You give to me
The strength and courage to forgive those who
have brought heartache to me.
Walk by me I ask of You,
so I not go astray
And when temptation calls me for
be with me now I pray.
Free me, Lord, from these chains
that keep me bound in fear
Deliver me from the evilness
that whispers in my ear.
For, my Lord, You are God,
all heaven and the earth
Belong to You within Your glory
the Father whom we serve.
All glory and honour and power are Yours
Almighty God and friend;
I thank You, Father, for Your love,
forever and ever, Amen.

An Angel is watching from above
Protecting you with wings of love.
Whatever burdens you have to bear
She will place each one in her care.
Ever so ready to do her part
She will hold you close to her heart.
Never doubt for you what she can do
Forever she will be there for you.
Peace in your life she will add
Regardless if times are good or bad.
Not once will she leave your side
Comfort is what she will provide.
No matter how it is you feel
Your heartache she will heal.
Through the words she prays
Your spirit she will raise.
Morning, noon or night
She will hold you tight.
Never will she let you down
She will always be around.
In her you will have a friend
Whose love will never end.
Reach out she will be there
On the wings of a prayer.

On my knees I ask you Lord
To listen to this prayer
People asking for your help
Lord, they're out there everywhere.
The troubles that beset them
Are often times too much
Their burden is so heavy
Please Lord, they need your touch.
So I ask for you to send them
Courage for each day
Strength enough to see them through
For each of them I pray.

Jesus prayed inside a garden
where the roses were in bloom...
His heart was slowly breaking
and His life was ending soon.
He wanted His disciples
to understand His Father's plan,
but they were narrow in their thinking
and they could not understand.
Jesus cried out to His Father
in the garden late at night...
and in the course of several hours,
the world would know His plight.
When Jesus left the garden,
He was nailed upon a cross,
and there He suffered terribly,
for us, He paid the cost.
But God, in all His glory,
would give us hope again...
His Son ascended from the grave
to shine His light on man.
Now when I'm in my garden,
as Jesus was that day...
I sit among the roses
and I bow my head to pray;
"Thank You precious Jesus,
for what You have done for me...
You prayed inside a garden,
then you died to set me free."

September 8, 2008

One day while in the garden
That grows outside my house
I saw it in a rosebud
It was smaller than a mouse
It looked so sweet and peaceful
With it's little turned up nose
I just stood and stared in awe
At the angel in the rose
The tiny wings lay silent
The eyes were closed real tight
I wondered if the angel
Had been there through the night
The yellow hair was rumpled
The gown the breeze did blow
The halo colored golden
Gave off the brightest glow
I thought, should I disturb it
And ask from where it came
Then it raised it's head, looked at me
And called me by my name
I asked how do you know me
Pray tell what brought you here
It said I am your angel
I've been with you for years
I'm with you each and every day
I'm always by your side
When danger or temptation come
You are the one I guide
When you hear voices speaking
It's me inside your head
I'm there with you when you get up
And when you go to bed
Sometimes I'm in your pocket
Sometimes behind your ear
And every time you're troubled
It is my voice you hear
I try to keep you happy
And protect you from all harm
But sometimes you won't listen
And that causes me alarm
But I won't give up, I'll always try
To help you with your woes
But I wish you'd pay attention
Cause that's how your spirit grows
So the next time you hear voices
Listen to what I say
Cause GOD sent me to help you
Prepare for judgment day

Let's stroll along a garden path
And just enjoy the day
No thoughts of worries fill our minds
We'll just wander on our way.
Forget about life's problems
You'll see that they will keep
Just walk with me a little ways
Nature's blessings we will reap.
Let's find some joy in little things
We'll talk of nothing much
Just wander down the garden path
Sweet flowers we shall touch.
We'll find a spot to sit awhile
And watch the clouds float by
We'll listen to the song of birds
And sigh a pleasant sigh.
When at last the day is over
And home now we must go
Take the memory along with you
For the days you're feeling low.

If I feel distressed when I get home from work,
I kick off my shoes for my favorite perk.
A stroll through my garden, a daily surprise,
And it never fails to bring joy to my eyes.
The roses are fragrant, the tree looks so grand,
The ivy is cheerful and growing out of hand.
A pinch from an herb starts a good supper plan.
Can I reach that rainbow? I just bet I can.
My mom would have loved this, my small paradise.
And thank you, Lord, for the gift of my eyes.
My neighbor is ill and would love a bouquet.
Looks like there'll be tomatoes for giving away.
Well, look at that vine! It has all come in bloom!
If I collect one more rock I'll be just out of room…
Here's a drink for you, rosemary. The birds love this seed.
Here I'm talking to plants, but it's what we all need.
Just a walk in the garden so eases my mind.
There's no better therapy ever I'd find.
At last a deep breath, a smile, and a sigh.
Life began in a garden. I think I know why.

Beauty of Our Friendship

Friendship is a Priceless Gift
that cannot be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater
than a mountain made of Gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless,
it can neither see nor hear
And in the time of trouble
it is powerless to cheer--
it has no ears to listen
Nor heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort
or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask
God for a gift
be thankful if HE sends
not diamonds, pearls or riches
But The Love of Real True Friends.

The Size Of Your Heart

It isn't the size of your house as such
That matters so much at all.
It's the gentle hand and its loving touch,
That make it great or small.
The friends who come and the hour they go,
Who out of your house depart,
Will judge it not by the style you show,
But rather by the size of your heart.
It isn't the size of your head so much,
It isn't the wealth you found.
That will make you happy -- it's how you touch
The lives that are all around.
For making money is not hard --
To live life well is an art:
How people love you, how they regard,
Is all in the size of your heart.

THIS IS MY FATHERS WORLD

This is my Fathers world,

And to my listening ears

All nature sings and round me rings

The music of the spheres.

This is my Fathers world;

I rest me in the thought

Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas,

His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Fathers world,

The birds their carols raise,

The morning light, the lily white,

Declare their Makers praise.

This is my Fathers world;

He shines in all that’s fair;

In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,

He speaks to me everywhere.

This is my Fathers world,

O let me ne’er forget

That though the wrong seems oft so strong,

God is the ruler yet.

This is my Fathers world:

The battle is not done;

Jesus who died shall be satisfied,

And earth and heaven be one.

Standing At The Crossroads

Life is quite a journey,
From the cradle to the grave.
We can savor it a free man,
Or suffer it a slave.

As you walk the path of life,
Can you truly say.
You know where you'll be going,
If you die today.

Do you know the day will come,
When you must make a choice.
To continue in the darkness,
Or follow Jesus' voice.

You have walked in bondage,
Since the day that you were born.
It started in the garden,
When our link to God was torn.

If you think it's foolishness,
Or think this isn't true.
That's because you don't believe,
That Jesus died for you.

I say to you the day will come,
When you will have to face.
The very One who died for you,
The One who took your place.

You will see the nail scarred hands,
You'll see that crimson stain.
And you will hear Him ask you,
"Did I die in vain".

That's the day you'll make your choice,
It happens to us all.
We either turn our backs on Him,
Or we accept His call.

Let me tell you what I saw,
On that fateful day.
When Jesus came into my life,
And washed my sins away.

I was marching straight to hell,
Drawing closer every day.
When I looked up and saw a cross,
Standing in my way.

There was a body on that cross,
A gruesome sight to see.
But something in that lifeless form,
Was reaching out to me.

I somehow knew that it was time,
For me to make a choice.
And deep inside my sinful heart,
I heard a gentle voice.

"I love you" were the words I heard,
So peaceful and so sweet.
"Let me wash you with this blood,
That's dripping off my feet".

I looked again upon that cross,
And then I saw the blood.
Flowing like a river,
An endless crimson flood.

I looked back upon the path,
That brought me to this place.
And then I felt a teardrop,
Trailing down my face.

As I was looking at my path,
That path I knew so well.
Suddenly I realized,
I was marching straight to hell.

I took a look beyond that cross,
Where the path continued on.
Winding through the darkness,
Until the trail was gone.

Then I saw another path,
It was quite a sight.
It led up to heaven,
And it was bathed in light.

Again I heard that gentle voice,
"I suffered all your pain.
Won't you let me wash you clean,
Or did I die in vain".

"Take the path that I have lit,
Make your choice today.
I will love and guide you,
And take you all the way".

I was standing at the crossroads,
I remember it so well.
I realized the time had come,
To turn my back on hell.

I knelt down beneath that cross,
And He bathed me with His blood.
That never ending river,
That flowing crimson flood.

Before that day I'd never known,
What life should really be.
Until I met my Savior,
Nailed upon that tree.

My life has never been the same,
Since that fateful day.
When I asked the Lord to come,
And wash my sins away.

It doesn't matter who you are,
You have to make a choice.
Sometime, somewhere along your path,
You will hear His voice.

You'll be standing at the crossroads,
And that will be the day.
That you'll look up and see a cross,
Standing in your way.

GOD MOVES IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform:
He plants His footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
With never failing skill,
He treasures up His bright designs
And works his sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust him for His Grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour:
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

Blind unbelief is sure to err,
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

THE HEAVENS DECLARE

Some people never look and see

The miracles in the sky,

The magnificence of a sunrise

Or fleecy clouds drifting by.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

They miss the glory of a sunset,

The lovely rainbow hues

And what could have more splendor

Than a starry night to view.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The heavens declare the glory of God,

And I thank you Lord for eyes to see

All the beauty and the wonder

You placed in the sky for me.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I stand in awe of your presence

As I gaze at the marvels you display

For no human hand could ever form

Such a grand and glorious array.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

No artist’s brush could ever paint

All the beauty that I see.

No poet’s words could ever describe

What that beauty means to me.

My granny’s flower garden was a beautiful sight,

The variety of colors filled my heart with delight.

I recall how she tended with such loving care

Each delicate flower that grew and blossomed there.

She took no pains when it came time to sow,

Just mixed all the seeds and watched them grow,

And oh how they thrived there all together

Growing tall and strong even in stormy weather.

And my granny was often heard to say,

" I sure wish people could grow that way.

Living in peace and harmony, each human race,

Not giving thought to the color of the face,

But standing firm together against life’s storms,

For I believe that's the reason we were born.

In the garden of life we’re planted as seeds

Meant to blossom and tend each others needs.

We should live our lives like the flowers

Giving a fragrance of love in sun or showers.

Our garden of life will be free of weeds

If we only plant and tend loving seeds."

What Granny Would Say

I had a very hectic day today

Seems nothing I did went my way.

I fretted and stewed and worried,

Rushed here and there, always hurried.

Then I recalled what my granny would say,

"This too, my dear, will pass away."

~~~~~~~~~~
Finally evening came and I was alone
With a little time to call my own.
I breathed a sigh into the air,
For now it seemed I hadn’t a care.
But in my memory, I heard granny say,
"This too, my dear, will pass away."
~~~~~~~~~~

So, I snuggled in for a good nights rest,

Vowing tomorrow just to do my best,

For when troubles come they never stay,

And good times seem to hurry away,

Granny was right when she would say,

"This too, my dear, will pass away."

~~~~~~~~~~
Enjoy the good times while they’re here
And face the bad times without fear
For nothing on earth lasts forever
Each moment of life we must savor.
Live life and love while you may,
For this too, my dear, will pass away.
GARDEN FOR MY LORD
I’d like to plant a garden
With seeds of love all in a row
That stretches across the world
Then sit back and watch it grow.
Seeds of tolerance and kindness
Would blossom OH so sweet
And the lovely fragrance of friendship
Would be in every heart we meet.
And I would tend my garden
With laughter, joy and peace
Making the world so much brighter
For hate and violence would cease.
Then I’d dedicate my garden
To our God who reigns above
For He’s the maker of the seeds
That grow and bloom with love.
GRANDMOTHER
I sit alone in my garden
Remembering years gone by,
And all the love you gave me
I know will never die.
You took me in and rocked me
In your loving arms,
Vowing to protect me
From the world and all it’s harms.
When I grew a little older,
At the closing of each day,
Bowing down beside my bed
You taught me how to pray.
Many years have come and gone,
Since I saw you last,
But in my heart are memories
Of a loving, distant past.
When I see you up in heaven
Singing with the angel’s band;
I will tell you, dear grandmother,
As my mother; you were more than grand.
So often I’ve thought to write a poem for you
But the words just never would come through.
How do I thank you with words of emotion
For a lifetime of love and devotion?
+ + + + +
Bouquets of roses tied with ribbons of blue
Could never express the love I have for you.
And no money on earth, nor silver nor gold
Could pay for the sweet memories of you I hold.
+ + + + +
You taught me how to give and share
And how to kneel in humble prayer.
You gave me the values I hold today
And there’s nothing I can ever do to repay,
+ + + + +
For the precious gift of your motherly love,
Except to live a life you would be proud of.
And so I kneel in humble devotion
With praise to Him who set our lives in motion,
+ + + + +
And give thanks to God, our loving Father
For the gift of you, my dearest mother.
And though you’re gone, you’re in my heart to stay,
Remembered and loved each and every day.
You see me with gossamer wings
Dressed in robes of purest white,
Glistening like gold
With a heavenly light.
You see me as a child
With innocence sweet,
Laughing, dancing, singing
Around the throne; at Jesus’ feet.
You see me in a friend
Who is tried and true
And you know I was sent
Down to earth for you.
I am none of these,
And yet I am all.
I am spirit, I am essence,
Sent to answer your call.
I feel the beat of your heart,
I hear the pleas of your soul,
And softly whisper wisdom
So you may reach your goal.
You hear my whisper
So soft and sweet in your ear
And you know all is well,
There’s nothing to fear.
For I’m always by your side.
I look upon all your ways,
I am here for guidance
When your lonely heart strays.
I guide your footsteps
That you may not stumble
And you may know me only,
When your heart is humble.
I’m your guardian angel
Sent from our Father above
To guide your heart and soul
To His eternal love.
So when you feel my presence,
Know the work that I do
Is simply because, of the love
Our Father has for you.
SOMEWHERE IN TIME
Somewhere in time, not as we know it here,
we’ll meet with all our loved ones
held in our heart so dear.
Somewhere in time they will meet us,
the ones who have gone on before,
so happy they’ll be to greet us,
over on God’s beautiful shore.
And the longing we’ve had for them
down through the lonely years
will be swept away in the tide
of our overflowing tears.
Forever we will be together
with loved ones, yours and mine;
over on God’s golden shore
they’re waiting, somewhere in time.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
