I'm Here

I watched you from the window
Crying in my chair.
I stood and stared in silence,
Could you feel my presence there?

I held your hand so gently,
As you sobbed in disbelief,
I whispered to you softly,
"Death is sweet relief."

I wandered in the kitchen,
Yet nothing was prepared,
You couldn't bear to cook for one,
But darling~I was there!

I'm in the air you gently breathe,
Surrounding you~I'll never leave.
It's merely time that separates,
Be patient, Dear~our love can wait.

I'll tuck you in our bed tonight,
And warmly kiss your face,
This evening won't be lonely dear,
You'll feel my sweet embrace.

Be patient as the days pass on,
And know my spirit's near,
Until we meet again my love,

You must believe...
I'm here!

How Was I To Know
How was I to know it would be the last time
to say "I love you, have a good day."

I remember you standing at the door,
watching as I drove away.
How was I to know it would be the last time
You would watch me drive away?
I took for granted each day we had together.
I wish I had only known, as I drove away,
to live and love each moment,
like a brand new day.

How was I to know

As you watched me drive away,
the Lord was taking you away?
If I could only go back in time,
when you were still mine,
I would live each day as if it were the last.

How was I to know

I would have to start my life over with out you?
Did God know how hard it would be for me
when he took you away?

The only thing I do know
You're safe in Gods hands now,
to shield and protect you.

A Better View
Dear loved ones lift your spirits, and take a peek up here.
One glimpse will soothe your sorrow for my new home will appear.

You'll see this land of promise, which we often talked about,
Its grandeur is far greater than we dreamed, without a doubt.

I expected golden pathways, mansions fair and gates of pearls,
But this place exceeds the visions I beheld while in that world.

Look with love and find great comfort as you gaze beyond the veil;
Fill your hearts with joy and join me in God's presence, where I dwell.

What a thrill to be here dancing in the midst of Heaven's throng,
See me mingling with the angles singing praise and worship songs.

Though you miss me I?m not distant; I still have my sights on you,
I just crossed into forever where I have a better view.

Keep good mem?ries to console you but let grief and mourning go;
Smile dear loved one, I?m in Heaven, living in God?s Gracious Glow.
