James Bowman Obituary

James Leon Bowman, age 51, of Crewe, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008.

He was an employee of Pamplin Historical Park in Petersburg, Va.

He is survived by two children, Elizabeth Kay Bowman of Timberlake, N.C., and Daphne Nicole Bowman of Kittrell, N.C.; two grandchildren, Tyler James Gabriel, Katherine Alexis Hill; mother, Mary Ruth Hall of Crewe; three brothers, Justin Dale Bowman of Crewe, Richard Phillips Jr. of Crewe and Harry Derwin Lowry of Crewe; stepmother, Myrtle Bowman, and stepfather, Richard Phillips Sr. of Crewe.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at Jetersville Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Wade officiating. Visitation will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe, VA 23930.
