Life is like a mountain railroad
With an engineer that's brave
We must make the run successful
From the cradle to the grave
Watch the curves, the hills, and tunnels
Never falter, never fail
Keep your hand upon the throttle
And your eyes upon the rail
Blessed Saviour, Thou will guide us
Till we reach that blissful shore
Where the angels wait to join us
In that great forevermore
Blessed Saviour, Thou will guide us
Till we reach that blissful shore
Where the angels wait to join us
In that great forevermore

Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He will get you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

To Sonny Boy & Family:
My Deepest Sympathy in the Loss of Your Loved One.
September 25, 2008
I count my blessings everyday
That God put me in your pathway,
For I was lost and all alone
Facing trials on my own.
But my God knew, that I needed you
To make me smile, and help me through
The storm that almost took my life
And left me empty, filled with strife.
Now you can see why I love you
With a blooming friendship ever true
For you have brought out the best in me,
Now my smile is finally free.
I will thank God forevermore
For you have made my spirits soar
I now have hope, the storm will pass
And I will be free to sing at last.

When No Words Seem Appropriate I Wish You
When you're lonely,
I wish you love.
When you're down,
I wish you joy.
When you're troubled,
I wish you peace.
When things are complicated,
I wish you simple beauty.
When things look empty,
I wish you hope.
GRIEVING SILENTLY
Why must I grieve silently,
When my heart is so loudly screaming?
The emptiness I feel is consuming me,
Oh God, how I wish I were dreaming.
The silence around me is deafening,
For nobody knows what to say,
To comfort this agony I'm feeling,
Since my son went away.
And each day the sun continues to rise,
And the earth is still turning,
Though my world has come to a screeching halt,
No one can ease my yearning.
For a part of me has vanished,
And a part of my heart has died,
And no one can hear my heartache,
Or feel the turmoil I carry inside.
And I'll go on grieving silently,
And exist on a different plane,
And I'll keep my love for him deep in my heart,
Until we see each other again.

When He Takes Me Home
Lord, I've traveled all around.
It seems I just roam
And I know there's no place like Heaven.
So, Lord, please take me home.
When this life, here on earth, is done
And there's no one left to love,
Please send my angel for this one,
To be with Thee above.
I know there's all things of beauty there,
Which seems to escapes me here.
I want to see the tree of life and a white robe wear,
And by my Savior be near.
I'd like to see Thine own garden of beauty
And all You'd have for me to do,
By Thine own side enjoy every duty
And bow at Thy feet and worship, too.
I can almost hear the angels singing
With the pure joy of it all,
When they see Thee, under Thy wing,
Bringing more souls to come to call.
Your, Secret Place Lord
Hide my sins in your secret place Lord; each one
We sin often Lord God; much to our dismay to Thy Son.
Help us to overcome each shortcoming; in life today
And find the true road to Glory Lord; one way.
Help us to turn corners gracefully Lord; in prayer
On this road to peace I know we'll find you there.
Just hide every ugly sin that’s ever been; Lord
Seems overcoming all on this old earth is rather hard.
We know though that forgiveness is in Thine own heart
And the secret hiding place shall never, ever part.
Keep us under your wing and protect each one
Keep us for Thine own self until life here is done.
Then let us hover round about Thee sweet Jesus; always
For Thy word says there will be no end; to the days.
Forever and ever we'll walk streets of gold
And in Thy name dear Master; let us be utterly bold.
Tell our neighbor about Thy loving grace; every day
Lord, that they too, might look up and find the only way.
The secret hiding place in the true and everlasting heart
And when we find this place; never, Lord let us part.

Sunset on a Mountain
How beautiful, a sunset on a mountain, all aglow.
We look at the falling leaves and we surely know,
Gods’ in Heaven and all is right with our hearts.
So beautiful is the nature, here in these parts.
We sit there many times in the late evening sun.
Sometimes we walk up the mountain one, by one.
Watching the red bird and the robin sing away,
We know this we will ever remember, as a beautiful day.
It is so good, looking at the red oaks, trees of red and see
Sweet gum and others, with the yellow hue to be,
When the sun shines bight, and I know God looks down,
To see the glory in the sweet head of His Son’s crown.
I wait His soon coming to walk with Him up the hill.
Listen to the soft voice of the whippoorwill,
As it sings a song, to Jesus, in the red and golden hue,
All, amidst, the golden, flowers, and in the morning dew.
The Journey
They came rowing down the rapids, between the valleys green,
Protruding rocks, and fallen trees, all across the river, in between.
Egging Lady Luck, to somehow once again, protect them today.
After all, didn't they every year, find the courage to come this way?
Freezing, laughing, dipping water, the canoe had sprung a leak,
But soon the journey would be over, then shelter they would seek.
Trekking up the mountain, the way would be mighty long and hard,
But, oh the beauty of that haven there, would be their sweet reward.
Coming home again, to the place where they fell in love,
Way upon the mountain, wisps of clouds hanging, o`er the roof above.
She leaned and softly whisper, as they trudged on up the rugged hill,
When we're old, and weathered, would you like to come here still?
He held her tightly, and told her, this will forever be our place,
We love to run the rapids, we like to run the race,
But one day, tomorrow, when we reach our journey's end,
We'll come back to this, our mountain, where our life first began.
The Path to Heaven
On the road to Heaven, many paths it brings.
I dreamt I went there and listened as the Angels sang.
I set my sight up on a star; a rainbow in a cloud
Whilst’ listening to my Jesus talking aloud.
The clouds were stepping-stones that brought me up high,
They brought me closer to my Savior standing nigh.
I could hear the angels reminiscing, about the days of yore
Looking over Jordan’s river, searching for the evermore.
That is what I wait for, knowing my Savior is by my side
I know without stepping-stones; with Him, I will abide.
Let us ignore the thundering noise, should it arise.
Just watch for our Jesus coming for us from the sky.
I know He loves us all, there in no doubt; God is love.
He has room for every one of us by His side; there above
I can hardly wait to see His crown of Glory; nigh.
With every person, that accepts Him there on high.
The time is coming; it may not be long until His return.
Let Him help put your heart in order; His words learn.
They mean so much to Him and to our sinful soul.
Let us accept His offer of HeaThe Star Of Promise
Thank you God for sending the Holy star of promise so bright ~
That brought us to the Christ Child in the manger that long ago night.
The star shone as a beacon unto all that this was the true Babe
Who had come to save us from our sins if we would do as He bade.
Some of the world do not believe Him, even now it would seem.
Though we must try to win them to Him. It's my greatest dream.
How sad not to be a part of the greatest moment ever to be ...
Following this Star of promise, so the Babe of God they could see.
We join in worshiping Him all year, but celebrate at His birth
With prayer and festivities ... all our hearts so touched and full of mirth.
He is the STAR of the universe, but He came to die for you and me ...
That others might watch our joy and choose, through Him, to be free.
Over a Manger there, the star shone so brightly that wondrous Holy night,
Drawing the magi's attention. They gathered precious gifts and went by the light.
They came to the Manger with a little cradle filled with softly strewn hay
And it's there they found, that this is where the little Baby Jesus lay.

Where The Flowers Never Fade
I love to walk in the garden
Inhaling the sweet scents that fill the air
Where the flowers bloom so lovely
As butterflies, dance with grace so fair
But with the years and seasons
The blooms come and go
It is then I look forward to springtime
For the flowers to bud and grow
There I sit in amazement
In what is held before my eyes
Sitting in the garden
My spirit soars and flies
When God finally calls me Home
When my soul is taken Heavens way
In the garden filled with love and peace
I will see the angels laugh and play
Where the sun shines so sweetly
Each and every day
It is there... I'll walk through the grandest garden
Where the flowers never fade

IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE
In my Father's house are many mansions
If it were not true He would have told me so
He has gone away to live in that bright city
He's preparing me a mansion there I know
Jesus died upon the cross to bear my sorrow
Freely died that souls like you might have new life
But I know that soon there'll come a bright tomorrow
When the world will all be free from sin and strife
Do not shun the Saviors love, from up in glory
Or you won't be there to sing the gospel story
In my Father's house are many mansions
If you're true then to this land you'll surely go.
ALONG THE ROAD OF LIFE
All along the road of life
There are stops which one must take
But only one destination
If Jesus is the choice we make.
If you are tired and weary
From the struggle of it all,
Jesus will renew your strength
As you wait and on Him call.
He has joy in abundance
And will give you strength within,
His love will carry you safely home,
As he cleanses away all sin.
With wings as of an eagle
You can soar above the clouds of doubt,
And rest on the mountain top
He is the God who will bring you out.
The Heavens Declare
The Heavens declare His Glory ~
They speak of it o’er and o’er,
Whether the sky’s blue and brilliant
Or darkness reveals its vast store;
Even when storm clouds gather
And lightning dissect the dark sky,
The Heavens declare His Glory ~
It’s written right there so high!
The Heavens declare His power
To hold us forevermore,
The stars and the planets are stationed
To stay, til He directs them o’er;
And, if He so perfect keeps order
Of galaxies, seasons and time,
Cannot this God Who loves you
Keep you, by His Love sublime?
If the tempter should come and bring darkness
To your life and leave you distressed;
If your soul is buried in sorrow
And you can’t get your chin off your chest;
Oh, weary soul, look to the Heavens!
Lift skyward your hungry eyes ~
For the Heavens declare His glory,
And shall, through the eons of time
"My Savior"
He is to me a Savior
Redeeming me from sin
He is the blessed hope I have
The light that dwells within
He's my Savior for eternity
He saves me every day
He redeems me from destruction
By teaching me His way
He saves me from my past sins
And the ones I've yet to do
He saves me from great powers
He changes old to new
He's the Savior come from Heaven
To earth to save mankind
He opens up the minds and hearts
Of men who are so blind
He's the Savior that I live for
He's the only one I know
Who can guide me safely homeward
By conquering my foe
Precious Jesus, You're my Savior
Whom I worship and adore
Because of all You've done for me
I ask, 'Please use me more'
