MY SECRET GARDEN
I go into my secret garden
To dream and hope and pray;
The beauty of flowers found there
Almost takes my breath away.
The roses bloom profusely
All attended by busy bees;
The fragrance is so sweet
Spanish moss clings to trees.
I sit quietly on a bench
Around me the nature sounds;
I lean back and close my eyes
While such peace abounds.
God must have designed this place
Surely it is so close to paradise;
I feel as if I were floating
Heaven must be like this, I surmise.
We all need a secret garden
Where we can go when stressed;
To commune with God and nature
And come away feeling blessed.
Lord, Mama’s Coming Home
‘O Lord Mama is coming home very soon I know.
Only when you hold her in your arms Lord, can I let her go.
She has been with me and we have shared all joy together
You, Lord, know how ill she is now; take her with You forever
She is dying Lord, and we want her to be in Your hand;
We want her to be there with Daddy, in Heaven’s land.
She is Mama. She will always be Mama to us all, but Thou will
Put Thy arms about her sweet Jesus; hold her against your breast still
Somehow I will know when she is gone and You have her; I’ll know it’s Your will.
She cannot go on much longer; as You said it’s time to let her go, still....
She was my foundation; my model; my rock in this old life to be,
Take her home under Thy wing Lord; please, no more strife, but Victory.
She helped us through life and to sort out troubles and mend,
All that was in our power, since I can’t even remember when.
She is in misery sweet Lord; please take it away from our Mother
She would sit and work or cook, as we were growing up like no other.
Bring the Holy Spirit upon both her and my sis and me
That will let us know without any doubt; she’s entering Eternity.
I’d like to hear her sing “Beulah Land“, and,
.......“I Want To Stroll All Over Heaven With You“.
If it’s Your will, Lord, give her comfort, a place to stroll all over Heaven too.
Carry us through this Lord; give comfort to her and me too
We have, and do love her with all our being; let her come on to You.
She’s the Mama whose lap we sat on; sometimes, Daddy’s too
They loved Thee Lord; loved each other; and they surely loved us true.
I know Father, You’ll give her crowns of life; Crowns of goodness and strength.
And I know Thou will remember her work, the work she did at length.
She is a mother among mothers; she kept all her family well, and will there too,
We know Heavenly Father her time will be with Thee there in all she can do...
Kiss her tears all away as though they never were at all.
Father, take her in Thine own hand and tell her You’ve come to call.

Where The Flowers Never Fade
I love to walk in the garden
Inhaling the sweet scents that fill the air
Where the flowers bloom so lovely
As butterflies, dance with grace so fair
But with the years and seasons
The blooms come and go
It is then I look forward to springtime
For the flowers to bud and grow
There I sit in amazement
In what is held before my eyes
Sitting in the garden
My spirit soars and flies
When God finally calls me Home
When my soul is taken Heavens way
In the garden filled with love and peace
I will see the angels laugh and play
Where the sun shines so sweetly
Each and every day
It is there... I'll walk through the grandest garden
Where the flowers never fade
Tears of Joy
So often when the hands of time
move slowly through the night,
we sit by our loved one's side and pray
that he will be alright.
But then it seems the enemy
creeps in to penetrate
the wall of defense that we have formed,
and we fear God is too late.
Our prayers with urgency ascend,
our tears of concern flow down,
yet clinging always to God's hand,
a glimmer of hope is found.
The doctors give a grim report,
the struggle seems to increase,
but yet, by faith, we lift our eyes,
and pray for healing and for peace.
The days slip by so quickly,
though the nights drag on and on,
and sometimes prayers are interrupted
by a surge of new alarm.
God gave the doctors wisdom
when they chose to operate,
but kidneys now are failing
and all they do is wait.
Again we pray unceasingly,
again we lift our voice
and ask our Lord to intervene
while our loved steadily grows worse.
And then one day God answers,
removing all our pain and grief.
Oh, the miracle has happed
and we shout with joy and relief.
He moved! He moved a little bit.
He is not paralyzed!
The Lord has touched and we've seen
the miracle unfold before our eyes.
We call and tell prayer partners
while rejoicing in our heart...
but wait, God is not through yet:
This is just the start.
We sought the Lord in all His glory
as He answered our fervent plea.
The healing has been delivered,
and the captive has been set free.
The praise and hallelujah's
resound throughout the day,
as now Tears of Joy are released
while we bless the Lord and pray.
And we will not stop our praying,
and we will not stop our praise
as we watch the miracle unfold
a little more each day.
The battle for recovery's ongoing,
but the Lord has won the war
and by faith our loved one shall walk again
just as he's done before.
Come, magnify the Lord with me,
come, lift your voice and sing:
We trusted wholly in the Lord...
now see what blessings He shall bring

Today I picked roses for Mama,
Oh how she dearly loved them so --
She planted them oh so carefully
...and waited patiently for them to grow
As the summer approached, the blooms burst forth
Into vibrant colors of white, yellow, pink and red,
No, nothing on earth was prettier,
Than my Mama's colorful flower bed.
As the years passed by, the roses seemed to multiply
and put forth more and more beautiful blooms
Mama was so very proud of her roses,
She would give them to all in the neighborhood
They all looked forward to Mama's roses
And they admired them from year to year
With love and attention she tended them well
Each and every one to her was so dear.
Her roses are still blooming, with colors so bright
We care for them as if she were still here
I venture to say she would have taken them
To heaven on that bright sunny day.
I can just imagine her utter delight
When she walked thru the garden up there
Seeing the beauty of God's vibrant flower bed,
So lovely to view, and for all to share.
All bursting with colors; white, yellow, pink and red
Yes, they were there waiting for her delicate hand in glove,
They're all there waiting in the glorious garden of the
