God is My Anchor
Truly, in these stormy days of life, as tho drifting out to sea,
God sent my loving Savior to ever be an anchor for me.
In the storms of life, in all the winds or desert drought,
My Savior is there, with a helping hand. I know, without a doubt.
He keeps me in all safety, when I sometimes go astray.
He keeps my ship afloat, safely leads me into the bay.
Some days, as I feel I'm sinking, tho I try hard not to be,
He always propels my heart and soul away from danger, alee.
When the waves are bearing down upon me, in this stormy sea,
My Lord will ever be there. I belong to Him, you see.
Since His Holy Spirit, lead me to the altar ('twas so sweet to know),
From coast to coast or from sea to sea, He will always with me go.
So, if you are sinking and in danger, and your heart is full of fear,
Turn over your life to Jesus. He will always keep you near.
He will ever guide you. In your heart, you'll feel His love
So abounding, so joyful, you'll know it's from above.
Let Him be your Anchor. May He guide you o'er the stormy sea
And, in this life, know the blessings - all that life can be.
As the stars glisten in the night and the moon does glow,
Through this life and forever Jesus with you will go.
