He was born to Grover and Martha Williams, who preceded him in death, and also preceding him in death a special aunt who raised him like a mother, Gladys Williams Johnson.

Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love ... He was educated in the Greensville County Public School system in Emporia, Va. Today God called you home
Extended his arms & opened Heaven’s Door
I never knew emptiness
Nor have I ever cried like this before

I know your one of Heavens Angels
And all I have to do is look above
You're in a happier place now
No pain, no sadness just eternal love.

You’re no longer suffering
Your work on Earth is done
God called you home
A new life in Heaven has begun

But here on Earth
There's a new star in the sky
Shining with your spirit
To keep your memory alive

You’re one of Heaven’s Angels now
You’ll always be with me near or far
And when I need your guidance
Ill look above to that shining star

In my heart
You'll always hold a special place
That no one else
Could ever replace

If only I could have
That shining star again to touch
Just to let you know
I love you so much!

But I don't have to tell you
For you have always known
That you'd be one of Heaven's Angels
For When God calls me home

To see my God
Face-to-face
In that Holy place,

I will never
Be the same
As I pronounce His name.

My joy will then
Be fulfilled
As He has always willed,

And the angels sweet
Will sing their song.
Oh, for that day I long!

Death is not the end of life,
In fact, it’s life anew,
If you’re in Christ the Savior,
And the Spirit lives in you.

It’s the start of better things,
No tears no hurt, no strife,
No illness, pain or cares
That weights us down in life.

Gazing on the sovereign God,
Joy and peace forevermore;
Stepping from constraints of time
Through Heaven’s Open Door.

We need not fear mortal death,
It beats this life, for sure!
Perfection is what God has planned
For those who can endure.

The Journey

They came rowing down the rapids, between the valleys green,
Protruding rocks, and fallen trees, all across the river, in between.
Egging Lady Luck, to somehow once again, protect them today.
After all, didn't they every year, find the courage to come this way?
Freezing, laughing, dipping water, the canoe had sprung a leak,
But soon the journey would be over, then shelter they would seek.
Trekking up the mountain, the way would be mighty long and hard,
But, oh the beauty of that haven there, would be their sweet reward.
Coming home again, to the place where they fell in love,
Way upon the mountain, wisps of clouds hanging, o`er the roof above.
She leaned and softly whisper, as they trudged on up the rugged hill,
When we're old, and weathered, would you like to come here still?
He held her tightly, and told her, this will forever be our place,
We love to run the rapids, we like to run the race,
But one day, tomorrow, when we reach our journey's end,
We'll come back to this, our mountain, where our life first began.
