Keith Marks Obituary

Mr. Keith Andre Marks Sr., 53, of 19214 Church Road, Petersburg (Matoaca), Va., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at the Southside Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 19, 1954, to Major Marks and Gladys Holder Marks. Growing up in the McKenney area, he attended the Dinwiddie County Public School System. He later enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged. He was an employee with Childress Trucking Co., Norfolk, Va. He will deeply be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife, Nena D. Marks; his children, Theresa McKensie (Seaver), Keith Marks Jr. (Monica), Tenecia Roberts and Temekia Marks; his parents, Major and Gladys Marks; grandchildren, TyQuan Taylor, Jasmine Impollonia, Tequante Malden, Adiva McKensie, Marquise Marks, Carlos Tyler, Na'Drea Crawler, Carla Lewis and Mario Crawley Jr.; sisters-in-law, Bessie Jacobs and Rodena Collins; brothers-in-law, Milton Brown Jr. and Byron Brown Sr. (Maxine); aunts and uncles, Elsie Williams, Helen Wilson (Calvin), Henry Holder Sr. (Ann) and Willie Lee (Sue); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, to include special friends, Russell Harris, Randy Jefferson, James Moore, Andre Tisdale and Charlie Glass.

A homegoing service will be held at noon on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the Big Bethel Baptist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. A.L. Williams, officiating, and Bishop Ernest Farrar eulogizing. Burial will follow at the Brown Family Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 on Sunday evening, Oct. 12, 2008. A repast will be held at the residence of his daughter, Theresa McKensie, 8331 Tatterton Trail, Richmond (Chesterfield County).
