Mildred Edwards Obituary
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Chester, Va. and a retired employee of Reynolds Metal Company, with 30 years of service. Her loving parents preceded her in death: George and Mattie Pegram Boston, as well as, her father and mother-in-law, Quinton and Rachel Edwards.
Left to cherish fond memories: her loving and supportive husband Marvin V. Edwards, Sr.; her son Marvin V. Edwards, Jr.; daughter Melisa V. Edwards Yates and son-in-law Eric L. Yates; sister Rosetta B. LeSure and brother the Rev. George A. Boston. Her grandsons: Jesten T. Edwards and Trey C. Edwards, two aunts, two brothers-in-laws and four sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews, two devoted LaTara L. Hill and Gregory A. White, cousins other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street where the family will receive friends, Sunday (today) from 5 to 6 p.m.
A home going service will be conducted Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at Second Baptist Church, 5100 West Hundred Road, Chester, Va. at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Johnnie Fleming, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Pegram Cemetery, Stony Creek, Va. Family and friends assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m.

I am so sorry. Just remember how happy she was two weeks ago at your wedding. It was such a special day. I have so many memories of your mom when we were growing up, especially getting me to try some type of crab as a after school snack. I love you and wish I could have stayed longer this weekend to be there for the funeral.

Marvin & Melisa, I send you my condolences and hope that you take comfort in the fact that your mom is no longer suffering. In times like this we look toward the heavens questioning why and/or what we've done or could have done differently to change this outcome.
