Robert Young Obituary
Mr. Young was retired from Honeywell and was a member of Local #88. He was also a member of the Chester Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Young is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lelia J. Young; two daughters, Denise and Angela; two sons, Christopher and Robert; along with four grandsons and three great-grandchildren; and a special family member, Stacy Cimburke.
A celebration of life service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the Lodge of Camp Thunderbird, 9033 Shawonodasse Road, Chesterfield County 23832, off Courthouse Road. For information on the service, please call (804) 920-3953. The Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, is serving the family. Daddy You were my father,my friend,and my heart.I am so proud of you and so proud to be your daughter.You never complained,or even said "why me" when we learned you had the horrible disease that took you away.You fought with courage and dignity,and I can only hope that I could ever be 1/2 the person that you were. I will miss you more than you could ever know. I love you daddy,you were my best friend.

Lelia, I saw Robert's obituary in the Village News tonight. I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Angie, Denise, Chris and Robert - losing a parent is so tough. If you're like me, there won't be a day that goes by without thinking of and missing him. Just remember that it does get easier to accept and he is in a better place. Marsha

I met Robert at the boat ramp and always enjoyed talking with him.We enjoyed talking about his gun collection and I enjoyed seeing his son's Mustang after it was restored. He was a good guy and will be missed. My condolences go out to his wife and family.

To the Young Family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you at this sorrowful time. Robert was a mentor to me when we worked at Allied Chemical years ago. He was a good friend and he taught me quite a lot. Robert will be truly missed by many who came in contact with him.
