To my cousin Page and family, now that Joe has made his transitioned from earth you all must continue your walk with God here on earth until you all meet again. Remember what it says in Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. And also know that you can take peace and comfort in the Lord Jesus because
He appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

Death is a journey to another road. We live our lives then we make a right or a left onto the road of greener and brighter pastures. There is no need to ask for directions. You know when you are there as it is beautiful and all of your friends and relatives are awaiting you."
Our loved ones are always with you even after they pass...pay attention and you will feel their presence. If you think they are with you...they are."Our body is a mere shell...we remain alive forever. Our loved ones are always there for us...share, talk to them and listen to your intuition when you think they are communicating with you."
Though it hurts to lose a loved one, it is most painful to grieve for what you didn't get to enjoy with them. Rather, remember the blessings they left behind, with so many wonderful memories. Treasure their essence, for it is still here with you."
Losing a loved one is hard, but it's knowing that god gained an angel that makes the grief easier."
It is okay to grieve, it is a natural process...it is when we allow the grief to take us over that we are defeated. Grieve, but continue moving forward!"
There is a difference between letting them go, and forgetting them. Letting them go, means accepting they are gone, but knowing they will always have a place in your heart. Forgetting them means to forget all the memories, the good times, and the bad times. So, don't forget them, just let them go."
"A broken heart is a blessing in disguise; it reminds us of how perfect God's love is and how imperfect we are. In the midst of the pain and despair we are somehow renewed in the promise that we have been loved the whole time, and will continue to be loved for eternity. And your heart again, begins to heal, until the next time we forget. It's the cracks in our heart that make room for God's promises to sink in."
Remember that when a loved one passes away, it's because God can no longer bear to be apart from then."

I knew Joe in two capacities. Once as a boss when I worked for the Sherriff's Dept and as a friend when his wife Paige worked with my father at the furniture store. He will be missed.
Mrs. Paige, you have my deepest sympathies and prayers. You were there for me when my parents died ten years ago and I have not forgotten the friend you were to my daddy when my mom passed. Know that they are all looking down here waiting for us to join them and knowing that we will one day.
Hugs and prayers are yours from me,

Should you go first and I remain to walk the road alone,
I'll live in memories' garden, dear, with happy days we've known,
In spring, I'll watch for roses red when fades the lilac blue,
In early fall when brown leaves call,
I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain for battles to be fought,
Each thing you've touched along the way will be a hallowed spot.
I'll hear your voice, I'll see your smile, though blindly I may grope,
The memory of your helping hand will buoy me on with hope.
Should you go first and I remain to finish with the scroll,
No lengthening shadows shall creep in to make this life seem droll.
We've known so much of happiness, we've had our cup of joy,
But memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy.
Should you go first and I remain, one thing I'd have you do,
Walk slowly down that long, long path, for soon I'll follow you.
I want to know each step you take, that I may walk the same;
For some day down that lonely road, you'll hear me call your name.

Many special moments you and I shared,
Knowing you were there, knowing that you cared.
Memories in my mind, memories in my heart,
We are still together, never to be apart.
I know you're near and feel your love,
I love you loads you knew I would.
Looking back and feeling sad,
But soon those moments will make me glad.
Grandpoppy was your love, your life,
You loved each other and your love was your sight.
We lost him eight long years ago,
But now you're together and your eyes are a-glow.
I know you're happy, but we are alone,
Feeling sorrow because you have left your home.
Your new place, up in the sky,
You both are angels, way up high.
Missing you and feeling numb,
Even the sky has lost the sun.
But one day soon I hope we'll see,
That what has happened was meant to be.
It seems so harsh and hurts deep inside,
Why, oh why did you leave our side?
The skies are dark, our lives are grey,
"It'll soon be better", you used to say.
But this time there's no familiar sound,
Of your voice so sweet, that echoed around.
I suppose it's time to say goodbye,
But it's just so hard, I refuse to try.
I have memories - unlike no other,
To me you were like a second mother.
The sky is clearing; the sun begins to shine,
The pain is easing and all seems fine.
But suddenly it's stormy again,
The sky is black, and it begins to rain.
I feel depressed and lonely too,
My only consolation is to think of you.
A thousand memories fill my mind,
A thousand thoughts, no one will find.
It feels like life has stopped in time,
But you are gone - to the sky to shine.
And so ends this poem from deep inside,
And hoping the pain will heal in time.
I loved you then and always will,
A hole in my heart, no one can fill.

Dear Lord,
Coach me on how to accept my burdens and carry them in Your Name. Teach me how to celebrate in anticipation of Your Divine Rainbow Promises and the Brighter Tomorrows you plan for me. Be at my side as I gather prose buds.
Remind me to study Ecc 11:7-8. Allow me, Oh Lord, to present the message in first person. "It is wonderful to be alive. If I live to be very old, let me rejoice in every day of life, but let me also remember that eternity is far longer, and that everything down here is futile in comparison."
In summary, Lord, I submit to Your Will. Oh that I would accept Your Help in carrying my crosses. And, Lord, laugh with me as I celebrate Your Precious Gift of Life each morning when I awaken.

When you lose someone don't be sad, although it hurts. Always remember that nothing happens without God's will. God is the one who loves us 70 times more than a mother, so how he will do any injustice to us? So how he will give us tears? Actually it's only our limited vision, which can't see, and we can't understand at that moment, like a ignorant child, how God will favor us. So SMILE and keep strong. Believe in God, because God is biggest in comparison to our wishes and if He wants, even miracles can happened in a second! Then how can He make us lonely? We are never alone because He is always with us. We have to find Him and make a friendship with Him. Only then we will realize how secure and happy we are! And you will find your way to this beautiful life

My days are filled with anguish and pain.
My nights are engulfed with an endless strain.
Through the day I search for a way to end the feeling of emptiness in my life.
But then night comes and reality cuts me sharp like a knife.
For it is at night I realize I have accomplished little in my years.
This is when my eyes begin to fill with tears.
Although I know tomorrow will bring rays of sunshine to a few.
For me it will bring another day
Filled with raindrops and dew.
I do have hope for my future to
Have joyous days.
But this will take time, patience,
And walking through a somewhat endless maze.

Making Time For God In Our Lives
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"
THE BOY WHO WANTED TO MEET GOD
There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of root beer, and he started his journey.
When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park, staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie.
She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Once again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted. They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, yet they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave.
Before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own home a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy? He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"
Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her neighbor was stunned by the look of peace on her face, and she asked, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." But before her neighbor responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
Will someone see God in your smile or kind deeds? Maybe they're not even looking for God, but may see Him in the kindness you show. Isn't that what we're here for? It might be a stranger, someone you work with, a family member or friend.
Let them see God in you. Show His love in all you do.
Moments in Life
There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them.
Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.
Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
MY DAD
The day my Dad went,
I didn't know what it meant.
At first I didn't care,
But I know I find the world to be so unfair.
My Dad was a loving man;
Whenever someone needed it
He lended a helping hand
Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.
Ever since my dad was killed
It feels as though I haven't healed.
It's just so strange and sad
That I cannot hear him call my name.
Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.
Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.
Never Gone
An old star faded,
a new one shines bright.
A day of joy and sorrow,
has now blended into night.
Tears have formed,
then were blnked away,
as stories were remembered,
from a distant day.
Tears will form,
then be blinked away,
as new memories are made,
to remember another day.
Birth and death, one a begining,
the other not really an end,
for a soul that is started,
lives forever my friend.
So when a memory is awakened,
whether it evokes a smile or tear,
know that someone's spirit,
is hovering very near.

PSALM 23
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
Shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
PSALM 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy
shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and
thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.
PSALM 139:1-8
" O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there."
PSALM 145:12-19
The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.
The LORD upholds all those who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and loving toward all he has made.
The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have cross the bar.
Sheriff Harper could really really sing, May his soul find rest in the sweet saviour arms.

AMAZING HOW GOD WORKS
Love starts with a smile,
grows with a kiss,
and ends with a tear.
Don't cry over anyone
who won't cry over you.
Good friends are hard to find,
harder to leave,
and impossible to forget.
Don't let the past hold you back,
you're missing the good stuff.
BEST FRIENDS are the siblings
God forgot to give us.
When it hurts to look back,
and you're scared to look ahead,
you can look beside you
and your BEST FRIEND will be there.
Nobody is perfect and best friends know that and love you still.
Remember, every minute spent angry is
sixty seconds of happiness wasted.
It's not what you gather
but what you scatter
that tells the kind of life you lived.

What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it... "Dad"

POLICEMAN
The policeman stood and faced his God
Which must always come to pass.
he hoped his shoes were shining
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step foward now, policeman
How shall I deal with you?
have you always turned the other cheek?
To my church have you been true?
The policeman squared his shoulders and said
"No lord I guess I ain't"
because those of us who carry badges
can't always be a saint!
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent
Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny
that wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime
when the bills got just to steep.
And I never passed a cry for help
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me
I've wept unmanly tears
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord
It need'nt be so grand
I never expected or had to much
But If you don't...I'll understand.
There was a silence around the throne
where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgement of his God
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've born your burden well.
Come walk a beat on heavens streets,
You've served your time ..........

What you mean to me,
I could never express
You always greet me
With a smile and a hug
No matter what is wrong
You just smile and
Say, "It’ll be all right."
I know you can’t stay
For your time is drawing near
I love and cherish you like no other
Because to me
You were like my brother
You have always been special
To all that were around you
The memories we have of you
Will keep burning forever
One more thing before you go
When you get to Heaven
Keep a light on for me

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there; they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be; your roommate, neighbor, professor, long-lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.
Sometimes things happen to you and at the time they may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests - whether they are events, illnesses or relationships - life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet who affect your life, and the successes and downfalls you experience, create who you are; even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally; not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love, and they are opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself; for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you, either. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

STRENGTH & COURAGE
It takes strength to be certain,
It takes courage to have doubts.
It takes strength to fit in,
It takes courage to stand out.
It takes strength to share a friend's pain,
It takes courage to feel your own pain.
It takes strength to hide your own pain,
It takes courage to show it and deal with it.
It takes strength to stand guard,
It takes courage to let down your guard.
It takes strength to conquer,
It takes courage to surrender.
It takes strength to endure abuses,
It takes courage to stop them.
It takes strength to stand-alone,
It takes courage to lean on a friend.
It takes strength to love,
It takes courage to be loved.
It takes strength to survive,
It takes courage to live.
May you find strength and courage in everything you do,
And may your life be filled with Friendship and Love!

The special people in this world are the most precious and appreciated people of all. No matter what happens, they always understand. They go a million miles out of their way. They hold your hand. They bring you smiles, when a smile is exactly what you need. They listen and they hear what is said in the spaces between the words. They care and they let you know you're in their prayers.
Special people always know the perfect thing to do. They can make your whole day just by saying something that no one else could have said. Sometimes you feel like they share with you a secret language that others can't tune into. Special people can guide you, inspire you, comfort you, and light up your life with laughter. Special people understand your moods and nurture your needs, and they lovingly know just what you're after.
When your feelings come from deep inside and need to be spoken to someone; you don't have to hide them, you share ... with special people. When good news comes, special people are the first ones you turn to, and when feelings overflow and tears need to fall, special people help you through it all.
Special people bring sunlight into your life. They warm your world with their presence, whether they are far away or close by your side. Special people are gifts that bring happiness, and treasures that money can't buy. And You Are a Special Person.

James 5:14-16
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effictive prayer of the righteous man can accomplish much.

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.

PSALM 139:1-8
" O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there."

Sorry and sadden to hear about the loss of your love one. He is now resting in the arms of the Lord. Take comfort in knowing God is in control. Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning. May the many memories of him bring comfort to each of you.

PSALM 23
The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
Shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Once In A Life Time
Once in awhile you find a friend
who's your friend right from the start.
Once in a while the friendship's so strong
it really warms your heart.
Once in a while that friendship lasts
your whole lifetime through.
It only happens once in awhile,
like it happened with me and you.

Never Gone
An old star faded,
a new one shines bright.
A day of joy and sorrow,
has now blended into night.
Tears have formed,
then were blnked away,
as stories were remembered,
from a distant day.
Tears will form,
then be blinked away,
as new memories are made,
to remember another day.
Birth and death, one a begining,
the other not really an end,
for a soul that is started,
lives forever my friend.
So when a memory is awakened,
whether it evokes a smile or tear,
know that someone's spirit,
is hovering very near.

Mountains to Climb
Sometimes I get tired of fighting it all,
The more I seem to try to more I fall,
And as I study my accomplishments in review,
I have realized there have been rather few.
No wonder I ask myself, Why struggle today!
Why not give up, that's the easy way.
But the universe architects in its infinite plan designed
a challenge to make a man a man.
The stumbling blocks he placed out way are merely stair
steps for success each day.
So, when I feel like quitting next time let me remember
that God made mountains to climb.

In Our Garden of Friends
In our garden of friends,
We come in a garden's variety of colors, shapes and sizes.
Some of us with artistry and tall beauty rises.
In our garden of friends,
Some of us come warm and true in shades of hottest pink
And bubbling with anticipation some of us must know what we think.
In our garden of friends,
Some of us bring laughter, dancing, and royalty;
Some of us bring sincerity, perception and loyalty.
Some of us, like a sweet pea vine,
have grown amongst us, attaching tiny tendrils of trust to gain
strength and to hold us tightly, where it has been divine,
To be in our garden of friends.

WHEN I SAY, "I AM A CHRISTIAN"
When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting, "I am saved!"
I'm whispering, "I get lost! That's why I chose this way"
When I say, "I am a Christian" I don't speak with human pride
I'm confessing that I stumble-needing God to be my guide
When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak and pray for strength to carry on
When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting that I've failed and cannot ever pay the debt
When I say, "I am a Christian" I don't think I know it all
I submit to my confusion asking humbly to be taught
When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are all too visible but God believes I'm worth it
When I say, "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartache, which is why I seek His name
When I say, "I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge
I have no authority...I only know I'm loved

man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, and that the dog had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.
After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. When he was standing before it, he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother of pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.
He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side. When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.
"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up." The man gestured, and the gate began to open.
"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked.
"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."
The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going. After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road which led through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.
"Excuse me!" he called to the reader. "Do you have any water?"
"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there" The man pointed to a place that couldn't be seen from outside the gate.
"Come on in."
"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.
"There should be a bowl by the pump."
They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.
When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree waiting for them.
"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.
"This is Heaven," was the answer.
"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's Hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No. I can see how you might think so, but we're just happy that they screen out the folks who'll leave their best friends behind."

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for,
the conviction of things not seen
(Hebrews 11:1).
If You Believe You Can, You Can
If you think you are beaten--you are.
If you think you dare not--you don't.
If you want to win but think you can't,
It is almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose--you've lost.
For out in the world we find
That success begins with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.

GOD IS ALWAYS NEAR
One thing can always cheer me
When I'm feeling sad and low
When I tired of daily trials
That I have to undergo,
When those who should
Seem closest, seem like
People I don't know,
One thing can always cheer me
I know that God is near me.
One thing can always cheer me
When I do not understand
How pain and sadness
In our lives
Can get so out of hand,
When the best of human efforts
Doesn't meet the days demands,
One thing can always cheer me
I know that God is always near me.
One thing can always cheer me
More than anything I've known
And show me I will never
Have to struggle on my own
For no matter what might happen
I will never be alone
The thing that will always cheer me
Is just knowing God is near me.
Our lives are in God's loving
Hands, in everything we do
He is with us constantly,
He always sees us through.
And if our faith is strong enough
We'll never walk alone,
For with His great and perfect love
He takes care of His own.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER'S HOUSE.
Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd.
Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.
There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water.
When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight.
You are on the King's Highway - Heaven-bound.
Keep going for three miles: One for the Father,
One for the Son, and One for the Holy Ghost.
Then exit off onto Grace Blvd.
From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane.
Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road.
As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave.
Also, avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END.
Pass up Envy Drive, and Hate Avenue.
Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd.
However, you have to go down Long-suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd.
And Trials and Tribulations Ave.
But that's all right, because VICTORY Street is straight ahead!
AMEN!!!!!
SEND THESE DIRECTIONS TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY
SO THEY WILL NOT GET LOST.

BEFORE I GO
When my life has reached its very end,
And I take that final breath;
I want to know I've left behind,
Some "good" before my death.
I hope that in my final hour,
In all honesty I can say:
That somewhere in my lifetime,
I have brightened someone's day.
That maybe I have brought a smile
To someone else's face,
And made one moment a little sweeter
While they dwelled here in this place.
Lord, please be my reminder
And whisper softly in my ear ...
To be a "giver," not a "taker,"
In the years I have left here.
Give to me the strength I need,
Open up my mind and my soul
That I might show sincere compassion,
And love to others before I go.
For if not a heart be touched by me,
And not a smile was left behind ...
Then the life that I am blessed with,
Will have been a waste of time.
With all my heart, I truly hope
To leave something here on earth ...
That touched another, made them smile
And gave to my life ... worth.

Between God and I
We are "Born Again", and continually grow,
Always Searching, more Grace to know.
Never doubting His promise, as the Word proclaim,
Just a stepping stone here, A new home to gain!
There is no middle ground on which to stand.
No time to slouch or fool around.
We are called to the fields, to plant His Word.
Tis the sweetest story ever heard.
To God be The Glory, as we labor hard,
To reach some soul, who's life is mired.
Trusting Him for direction's led,
and wisdom of the words that said.
Though the Harvest is white and laborer's few,
We jump right in, knowing what to do.
Standing on his promises, The story un-folds,
As we see light! ahead, our Heavenly Goal.

A Special Friend
I search for words, that express my mind,
As I, reply, to a friend of mine:
Whether letter, e-mail or spoken word,
I'll make sure, each word is heard.
It seems sometimes, that time stands still,
As I grasp for words, from this old Mill:
Somehow the clock, keeps ticking on,
With no completion, this hour is gone.
The wheels are turning once again,
The gears are grinding, as when I begain;
Each Friend is special, and theres no doubt!
We rejoice in knowing, it's love, that counts.

A PLACE FOR ME
There is a special place in life, that needs my humble skill,
A certain job I'm meant to do, which no one else can fulfill.
The time will be demanding, and the pay is not too good
And yet I wouldn't change it for a moment -- even if I could.
There is a special place in life, a goal I must attain,
A dream that I must follow, because I won't be back again.
There is a mark that I must leave, however small it seems to be,
A legacy of love for those who follow after me.
There is a special place in life, that only I may share,
A little path that bears my name, awaiting me somewhere.
There is a hand that I must hold, a word that I must say,
A smile that I must give for there are tears to blow away.
There is a special place in life that I was meant to fill.
A sunny spot where flowers grow, upon a windy hill.
There's always a tomorrow and the best is yet to be,
And somewhere in this world, I know there is a place for me.

How can you forget that you're blessed?

I've given you two lips to smile with.
I've given you two hands and everything you need
To make your dreams come true.
I've given you happy memories to warm your heart.
I've given you music to raise your spirit.

And soft white daisies so that you could escape
To pleasant dreams.
I've given you the song of hummingbirds
So that you can remember
The beauty of life all around you.
I've given you beaches, brooks,
Golden sand, and blue skies to ease your worries.
I've given you a sky full of stars and moonlight,
So that you would strive
To reach far come the dawn.
I've given you long and lazy summer days
To revive your spirit and an inner peace
That only comes with the first snowfall.
I've given you all you'll ever need.

A FAREWELL
Flow down, cold rivulet, to the sea,
Thy tribute wave deliver:
No more by thee my steps shall be,
For ever and for ever.
Flow, softly flow, by lawn and lea,
A rivulet then a river:
No where by thee my steps shall be,
For ever and for ever.
But here will sigh thine alder tree,
And here thine aspen shiver;
And here by thee will hum the bee,
For ever and for ever.
A thousand suns will stream on thee,
A thousand moons will quiver;
But not by thee my steps shall be,
For ever and for ever.

One blessing had I, than the rest
So larger to my eyes
That I stopped gauging, satisfied,
For this enchanted size.
It was the limit of my dream,
The focus of my prayer, --
A perfect, paralyzing bliss
Contented as despair.
I knew no more of want or cold,
Phantasms both become,
For this new value in the soul,
Supremest earthly sum.
The heaven below the heaven above
Obscured with ruddier hue.
Life's latitude leant over-full;
The judgment perished, too.
Why joys so scantily disburse,
Why Paradise defer,
Why floods are served to us in bowls, --
I speculate no more.

Death is a dialogue between
The spirit and the dust.
"Dissolve," says Death. The Spirit, "Sir,
I have another trust."
Death doubts it, argues from the ground.
The Spirit turns away,
Just laying off, for evidence,
An overcoat of clay.

Miss your laughter, fun, and gentleness.
I miss the things I used to do for you.
I miss the time, now filled with emptiness,
When each day was a stage for something new.
I miss your love, though mine for you remains,
A passion with no outlet to the sea,
A teardrop in a desert, that contains
What's left of my maternal ecstasy.
I miss your presence, like a silent chord
That anchored even solitude in grace.
I miss, for my love's labor, the reward
Of seeing some small pleasure in your face.
All these I miss, and yet they are all here
Within my heart, far more than I can bear.

I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
To you, to tell you that I loved you, to say
What now must be one long, unbroken cry
Of pain, now that at last you've gone away.
I cannot tell you what a joy it was
To be the one to tend you in your need.
The burden was a gift, for giving does
Not burden one who loves, though loving bleed.
I wish I could have been with you when you,
Perhaps aware, perhaps not, turned towards death
Alone, with no one there to wonder to,
To share your fear, your hand, your one last breath.
I wish, I wish, I wish . . . but it is done,
And now I must surrender what is gone.

Want you to be happy when I'm gone.
When you mourn me, make your mourning bright,
Adjusting what you long for to the light.
Nor need you love the less what has passed on.
The art of memory is celebration,
Yearning that turns sorrow into song,
Opening a heart forever young
Upon the unmade bed of its creation.
Then celebrate my life, and also death,
On which I, like a mendicant, depend,
Begging that my suffering might end
Even as I fight for every breath.
Hold onto me with uneventful tears,
A testament to what we've learned of love,
Pleased again to move as your heart moves,
Partaking with no loss in passion of
Years as rich and full as were our years.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Sheriff Harper will be missed. Mrs.Harper if I can do anything I am here for you and your family.
