Josephine Hall Obituary

Mrs. Josephine H. Hall of Petersburg, Va., passed away on Oct. 23, 2008, at the Southside Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born in Petersburg, Va., to the late Joseph E. Hathaway and Pearl A. Hathaway.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carl Walker Hall Sr.; two sisters, May H. Gailey and Ruth A. Stewart. She is survived by two children, daughter Betty Jo Hall Townsend and husband Charles of Colonial Heights, Va., and son, Carl Walker Hall Jr. and wife Chris Perez of Prince George, Va.; two granddaughters, Natascha and Victoria Hall; a niece, Nancy Gailey Heuser of Colonial Heights, Va.; and a nephew, Robert E. Stewart of Petersburg, Va.

Mrs. Hall was a retired quality control inspector with Titmus Optical Company. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va. She was a loving mother, grandmother and good friend to many of her extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Queen, pastor of the Walnut Hill Baptist Church, officiating. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Associates.
