Nellie Crawley Obituary
She was a native of Dinwiddie County and was the daughter of the late Willie Waverly Mason and Mary Elizabeth Coleman Mason. She became a member of the Center Star Baptist Church at an early age. She was proceeded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Gilliam (Ernest), Kathleen Gholson (Waverly), and brother Waverly Mason.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted and loving husband of 54 years, Maceio A. Crawley; one daughter, Pamela D. Crawley (Clarence E. Hudson); three sons, Phillip L. Crawley, Maceo J. Crawley, and Troy L. Crawley (Darlene); a foster son, Robert Holcomb (Yvonne); grandchildren, Synekia C. Crawley, Clarence E. Crawley, and Tyree L. Crawley; sister, Thelma Jackson (Albert); aunts, Mary Williamson, and Maude Coleman; sisters-in-law, Mary V. Mason, Geraldine Crawley, and Beulah Gholson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 6, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Center Star Baptist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Jimmie L. Walker Sr., officiating, and the Rev. Dr. Joseph B. Fields Sr, eulogizing.
Burial will commence at the Coleman Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at the funeral home.
