Sharon Bryant Obituary

Ms. Sharon Celestine Nick Blanding Bryant, 40, of 1309 New York Ave. Hopewell, Va., departed this life Sunday morning, Nov. 9, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg.

She was a native of Hopewell and daughter of Mrs. Mary Blanding and the late John Nick. She was a graduate of Hopewell High School and she worked many years as a nurse's aid in Anderson, S.C. before recently returning to this area.

Besides her mother she is survived by a son; Orlando Bryant of Fredericksburg, three sisters; Clementine Bailey, Carolyn Roach (Bishop Walter Roach) and Gwendolyln Baskerville; one brother, Timothy Jenkins (Norma); several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday from Calvary Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 110 N. Dunlop St., Petersburg, where Bishop Wesley Taylor is pastor and Bishop Walter Roach will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Sinai Community Cemetery, Prince George.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, Rev. William N. Bland Jr., funeral director.
