Early Lee Obituary

Mr. Early Lee Jr., "Juke," 59, of 22112 Wingfield Road, Stony Creek, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Southside Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 19, 1949, to the late Early Lee Sr. and the late Alpassie Jenkins Lee.

He joined the St. Thomas AME Zion Church in DeWitt at an early age. He was a former employee of Coca Cola Bottling Company with 28 years of service. He was currently employed with CHR Catering Company Inc. in Richmond.

Early leaves to treasure his memories, a devoted wife, Edna Keys Lee of Stony Creek, Va.; two sons, Michael Lee (Shaneka) of McKenney; Javon Lee (YoVanda) of Stony Creek; one step daughter, Sophia Keys Johnson of Petersburg; eight grandchildren, Kevin, George, Chanquis, Destiny, Brandon, Brittani, Javon and Javius; six sisters, Betha Mae Alston of Washington, D.C., Catherine Clanton (Isaac Sr.) of Dinwiddie, Glenis Draper and Barbara Lee, both of Baltimore, Md., Adlena Weaver (Waverly) and Maggie Weaver (Alfred), all of DeWitt; one brother, Alphonia Lee of Chester; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; three devoted friends, Harry Wyatt of DeWitt, Albert Moore of Stony Creek and Averette Rhodes of DeWitt.

A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the Little Bethel Baptist Church, Stony Creek, with the associate minister, the Rev. Roletta G. Banks, officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shaneka Lee, 15925 McKenney Highway, and may be contacted at 478-5852. The body may be viewed Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to the hour of service.
