William Sparks Obituary
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Aliza Sparks; and brothers, Joseph Sparks and John Edward Enoch.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Angeline Sparks; daughter, Mellie Huffman and her husband Mike; sons, Larry D. Sparks and his wife Christine and William Joshua Sparks III; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Joseph Robinson.
He was retired from Fruit Growers Express railroad. He was also a truck driver and a vinyl siding mechanic, and an active member of the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Prince George for numerous years.
The family will receive friends at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. Sixth Ave., Hopewell, Va., on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the Abundant Life Pentecostal Church 6500 Middle Road Prince George, VA 23875. Interment to follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares.com.
