Calvin Smith Obituary
Calvin was born May 23, 1959, in Emporia to the late Spencer and Dora Smith. He was a graduate of Sussex Central High, class of 1978 and served in the U.S. Army.
He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Larry Smith of Waverly; two uncles, Elmore Burgess Jr. (Judy) and Randolph Burgess (Brenda) of Waverly; three aunts, Shirley Walker (Raymond) of Emporia, Vandra Walker (William) of Waverly and Catherine Moore (Louis) of Washington D.C., a host of cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Peace-Bland Funeral Home, Waverly with the Rev. Tracey Walker officiating. The family will assemble at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
