Margaret Lauterbach Obituary

Margaret Doutt Lauterbach, "Marge," 82, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Doutt.

She is survived by son, Robert M. Doutt; daughters, Alice Doutt Patton and her husband, Phillip, Linda Doutt Baxley and her husband, Kenny; daughter-in-law, Linda Biggs Doutt; grandchildren, Lori O'brien, Jimmy Doutt, Robbin Smith Harrison, Jason Smith, Anna Doutt, Christine Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Makayla Harrison, Kassie, Mason, Chase and Skylar Doutt, Dylan O'brien, Faith and Hailey Hopkins, Ryan andJoshua Smith; and numerous other family and friends.

She was a life- long resident of Hopewell and spent many years in the food services and may be well remembered for her many years at Burger Fair. She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her friends. She was loved very much by her family and will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 10. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hopewell Emergency Crew 102 S. 10th Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860, where her daughter, Alice, is a member, or to First Baptist Church, 401 N. 2nd Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. Condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares.com.
