Charles Blazek Obituary
He was the loving son of Dr. Louis Blazek and the late Annie Mae Harrison Blazek. Charles was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who adored his family. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights and was employed at Picture Lake Campground in Dinwiddie. Charles was a hard working and selfless man who loved the outdoors and history.
Along with his father he is survived by his wife, Sherry Blazek; children, Tarah Guinn and husband, Aaron, John Blazek and wife, Vanja, and Charles Blazek; grandchildren, Ella Blazek and Liam Guinn; brother, Glenn Blazek and wife, Sue; nephews, Daniel Blazek, Christopher DeBusk and Travis DeBusk; niece, Sarah Blazek; mother-in-law, Evelyn Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Ave., Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

Blazek's me and my boyfriend stayed at the campground for a long time and charles was the best person we could have ever known. he would give anyone the shirt off his back. he will be greatly missed.

Sherry, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I wish I could have come to the church on Friday but I was to sick. Since Friday's Progress Index artical came out I have heard wonderful things about Charlie.
