May God bless your family in its time of loss. We remember Sammy when he lived in DC on Evarts Street. He would come to visit my father and family. We are Uncle James' children.

As I stood in your room on yesterday I guess I knew then that it would be very soon as it was evident that your spirit was preparing to leave, it was quiet and only the sounds of your breath I could hear as it was fading away. I know that God has bless your soul and your heart, because no more suffering. Rest in Peace, Uncle Sammy, you were a solider thru it all. your great-niece Tami (young) Donnell & great-great niece Kayla.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
