John Gee Obituary

John Thomas Gee of 15500 Providence Road, Petersburg, Va. (Prince George County) died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2008, at John Randolph Medical Center, Hopewell, Va.

He was born Dec. 12, 1940, to Rosa L. Gee and the late William J. Gee Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, William Gee Sr., sister, Bertha Harper, two nephews, Tyrone Gee and James Harper Jr.

John was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Prince George, Va. He was an avid farm assistant and sports fan.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Rosa L. Gee of Prince George, Va.; four brothers, William (his twin) of Petersburg, Va., Walter (Lorraine) of Dinwiddie, Va., Gary and Michael (Diane) of Prince George, Va.; four sisters, Rosa Harper (Ralph) of Dinwiddie, Va., Audrey Gee of Prince George, Va., Otelia Jones (Lynwood) of Richmond, Va., and Constance Jones (Larry); three aunts, Mary Johnson and Sallie Myrick of Dinwiddie, Va., and Carrie Bonner of Prince George, Va.; one brother-in-law, James Harper Sr.; 15 nieces and nephews; one devoted, Vincient Harper; 14 great-nieces and nephews; a number of cousins, and other relatives and friends, among them devoted, Eugene and Bertha Adams of Dinwiddie, Va., Tommie Briggs and James Prince of Prince George, Va., Barbara Lawton of Chesterfield, Va., and Corrine Perry of Dinwiddie, Va.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Tucker Funeral Home with eulogy by Bishop Marcus Campbell. Interment will be in the Bonner Family Cemetery, Dinwiddie, Va. Relatives and friends will assemble at the residence at 1 p.m.

Services under the direction of Tucker Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg. A.A. Tucker, funeral director.

Aunt Rosa and family,

May God continue to be with our family. I know that everybody will miss John; but we will see him again.
Praise God!

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. (Ps 31.23-24)

If the Lord says the same, I will see you in July 09.

To Mrs Gee and family: So sorry to hear of John's passing. We worked along side of John & William in tobacco and peanuts..John would always call my husband (Jaybird) and talk sports and especially the Super Bowl. You may remember my parents were Mr. Bet and Miss Dot Jarratt. Again really sorry to hear about John
