Wanda Allen Obituary

Ms. Wanda T Allen, 40, of 201 S. 5th St., Hopewell, departed this life Thursday, Jan. 15 at John Randolph Medical Center.

Wanda was the daughter of the late Ethel Allen and Paul Dunston Sr.

She was preceded in death her grandparents, Mamie and Benjamin Daniels and Lucinda and Robert Allen.

She was baptized at Mount Carmel Baptist Church at a young age and was presently employed at 7-11 on Oakland Boulevard.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Shaina Allen; devoted sister, Teresa Allen of Hopewell; brother, Paul Dunston Jr. (Belinda) of Chesterfield; her stepfather, Willard Allen of Atlantic City, N.J.; devoted friend, Willie Lillie of Hopewell; motherly aunts, Catherine Daniels, Mamie Delaine, Pearl Barber, Janet Roach, Mary Whitaker (James) and Louise Dunston; two great aunts, Hattie M. Conyers and Julia Bulluck; one uncle, James Daniels; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, among them were devoted Faye Jones and her 7-11 family.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at the Chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. The Rev. Kevin Northan, pastor of Olive Branch Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Dinwiddie Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble one hour prior to service at 1524 Autumn Woods Drive, Hopewell and maybe contacted at 452-4252 or 452-4378.
