Christine H. Fisher

Mrs. Christine H. Fisher peacefully entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at her residence in Petersburg, Va.

She was born July 13, 1953, in Chester, Va., and was the daughter of George W. and Mable Hargraves. She was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, George W. Hargraves; aunts, Belluah Branch, Mary Carter and Sallie Shands; and uncle, Herbert Harris.

Christine is survived by her husband, Preston Lee Fisher; two daughters, Christine Marshall (Antonio Robertson) and Priscilla Fisher (Anthony Harris); seven grandchildren, Lakeisha Fisher, Dwayne Fisher, Shakeila Marshall, Steven Marshall, Shannita Marshall, Rasharrd Harris and Nia Harris; mother, Mable Hargraves; two sisters, Ernestine Graham (Alvin) and Hazel Taylor (John Crittenton); three brothers, Larry Hargraves, Stanley Hargraves and George L. Hargraves; aunt, Myrtle McCrae of New York; uncles, James Harris, Harold Harris and Jasper Harris; nieces, Quantina Hargraves, Tanisha Graham (Jason), Brittany Graham, Caryetta Lewis and Terressa Taylor; nephews, Andrew Lee, Alvin Graham, Jr., John Hargraves and George A. Lewis; mother-in-law, Evelyn Fisher; sisters-in-law, Joyce Parham, Gloria Mason, Evelyn Fisher and Brenda Fisher; two brothers-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends, devoted friend, Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at the chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va. The interment to follow at the Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
