Betty Jones Obituary

Betty C. "Stewart" Jones, 65, of Dinwiddie passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Chapman and Betty Beamon Peaden, and her husband, Tommy Peterson Jones.

Betty was a member of Livingstone Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Lonelle M. Guilliams and husband, Bobby, Dawn Elizabeth Southall, Michelle Louise Stewart and Debra L. Berry and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Gene, Keri, Amanda, Ashley, Crystal, Christopher, Casey, Victoria, Kimberly, Travis, and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Briana, Landon, Hunter, Brody, Chloe, Saleena and "little bit" on the way; niece, Mandy Strathman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Linda Jones.

The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at the funeral home with The Rev. Carl Weaver officiating.

Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

I'm am so sorry for you loss! I remember Betty always being with us when we were all together, she really knew how to have fun! I know her spirit will endure in all of us. I know she's in a better place now watching all of us, making sure we stay out of trouble! She was a great lady and will be missed and not forgotten!
