Elizabeth Cole Obituary

Elizabeth Clements Cole, 94, of Chester, Va., passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.

Ms. Cole was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a patriotic citizen. She was born in Surry County, Va., daughter of the late James Napoleon and Lurlie Virginia Clements.

Ms. Cole was also preceded in death by her husband James H. Cole. She was a member of Sherbourne United Methodist Church and the Civilian Conservation Corps Auxiliary for many years.

Ms. Cole is survived by her sons, LaVerne C. Cole and wife Mary Wray. and James E. Cole, all of Chester; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009.

A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Sherbourne United Methodist Church, 2619 Sherbourne Road, Richmond, VA 23237. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
