Raymond Pruitte Obituary

Raymond Austin Pruitte, 86, of Hopewell, died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009.

Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Frances M. Pruitte; son, Raymond "Tommy" Pruitte; grandchildren, Raymond T. Pruitte Jr., Jennifer Whitley, Joe Pruitte, Kimberly Pruitte, and John Pruitte; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
