David Jerrell Obituary
He was the son of the late Robert S. Jerrell Jr. and Ann Gorsline Jerrell. He was a retired veteran with the United States Navy. He was a member of Dinwiddie Baptist Church. Mr. Jerrell retired from IBM with over 25 years of service, and worked for Chesterfield County in the Information Technology Department. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Sure Shot Hunt Club and the Daylily Society.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda Jerrell; two daughters, Eleanor Jerrell and Lisa Barker; a son, Robert Jerrell; three stepdaughters, Joy Greth, Samantha Zimmerman and Jill Allen; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Majors of Claremont; and an aunt, Catherine Gorsline of Richmond.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, in Dinwiddie Baptist Church, 14818 Wilkinson Road, DeWitt, VA 23840. Interment private. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

I worked with Dave at Chesterfield County. He was a great guy and we all loved him for just being "Dave". Each time he came back for a visit, word went quickly around the building and everyone was always very pleased to see him. I am so very sorry for Dave's family and for all of us who were blessed to have known him.

I also will be mourning the loss of my father. I'm going to miss him very much, as well as his other two grandchildren. He meant more to us then anyone will ever know. We miss you daddy and papa!
