Mary Wheat Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lee Crawley Wheat, formerly of Hopewell, departed this life Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Hopewell Heath Care Center.

She was born Aug. 15, 1925, to the late Estelle and Joseph Crawley. Mary attended the Owens Grove Public Schools. She was a homemaker and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Wheat.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Marie Crawley of Chester; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Chapel of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, with the Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker officiating. The interment will be in Mt. Sinai Community Cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence, 13907 Mangrove Bay Drive, Enon, one hour prior to the service.
