Donald Parham Obituary
Donald was a 1965 graduate of Peabody High School. In 1973, he received a bachelor of science degree in geology from Virginia State College (now University), Petersburg, Va. Donald lettered in basketball and baseball in high school and college. Donald enjoyed golf and billiards as well.
Donald's entrepreneurial drive caused him to create B. Precise Sheet Metal Co. He formed his own automobile sales firm, SABR Auto Sales. At the time of his passing, Donald was founder and owner of Bee Out Bail Bonds Co.
Donald Tee Parham was united in holy matrimony to the former Miss Martha Hinton of Richmond, Va. To this union two sons were born, Leroy and Joseph "Jo Jo." His son, Jo Jo, his parents, and his brother, Earl Leander, preceded him in death.
Donald Tee Parham leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Martha Hinton; a son, Leroy (Lisa), Montana; three grandchildren, Malik, Mya and Maecee, Montana; four brothers, James H. Parham Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., Wilmar E. Parham (Terry) of Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Keith L. Parham (Annette) of Shacklefords, Va., and Kirk O. Parham of Las Vegas; two sisters, Deidra P. Smithson of Petersburg, Va., and the Rev. Kathay P. Pinkston of Detroit; father and mother-in-law, Mr. Gideon and Mrs. Sarah Hinton of Richmond, Va.; two uncles, Thomas Edmonds (Mary) of Church Road, Va., and William Briddell of Berlin, Md.; three aunts, Ruth Edwards of Petersburg, Va., Geraldine Spicely (Samuel) of DeWitt, Va., and Martha Goodman of Richmond, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Helena H. Lovell of Richmond, Va., and Carolyn Hinton of Wilmington, Del.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service has been planned for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg, Va.

Martha, you may not remember me. We started as freshmen at VSU together (Pat Bland). Donald and I grew up together on Shepard St; started the first grade together; finished Peabody HS together in 1965; then both families moved to Westview. There is a lot of history. He was a wonderful friend. You and your family were blessed. Remember the good times and he'll be with you always. My prayers go out to you and the entire family.
