Mary Hunter Obituary

A funeral service for Mrs. Mary Hunter, of 1028 Patterson St., Petersburg, who departed this life, Wednesday, June 24, at the Southside Regional Medical Center, will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 29, at the Zion Baptist Church, Petersburg. The Rev. Dr. A. J. White Sr., pastor, will officiate. The interment will be held at the Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

All honorary, and active pallbearers, and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:15 a.m., the day of the service. All family members are asked to assemble at the residence of Mrs. Hunter at 10 a.m., the day of the service. The remains will lie in state at Zion Baptist Church, one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at the residence.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the William N. Bland and Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. Now serving from three locations, Petersburg, Hopewell, and Waverly. www.blandenterprisesinc.com.

Mrs. Hunter will greatly be missed. She was a beautiful person, not only through her dedication to the Order of the Eastern Star but her genuine love and kindness toward all people. May God continue to be with the family.

Mrs. Hunter was a dedicated, strong and caring person who was blessed with many years of life. I admired for her strength and dedication to her family and friends. She made a wonderful impact on many lives and will be surely missed. May the wonderful memories of her illustrious life be used to console all who knew her during this time of sorrow. God Bless You.
