Eva Stainback Obituary

Eva Jane "Judy" Stainback, 56, of Colonial Heights, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009.

Born in Pittsylvania County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lee Talbott, Jr. and Teeco Dalton Talbott.

Judy was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Ann Morton and Mary Susan Pitts.

She is survived by her daughter, Angel Stainback Avery and husband, Chris of Chesterfield; son, Jonathan Stainback of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; grandchildren, Casey Avery and Abbey Avery; sisters, Beatrice Ann Frick, Janie Lee Edmonds, Ruby Frances Boyd, Rosemarie Blake, Rebekkah Mast, and Debra Ann Talbott; brothers, Oscar Lee Dalton, Herbert Alvin Talbott and Edgar Lee Talbott, III; numerous nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Mitch Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
