George Henry Obituary

Funeral services for retired 1st Sgt. George Henry will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 418 Halifax St., Petersburg, Va.; the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs Sr., pastor, officiating. Entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum with full military honors.

Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble at 12:30 p.m. at the church.

The family will assemble noon at the residence the day of the services and may be contacted by calling (804) 520-8829.

Family members and friends are invited to pay final tribute to Mr. Henry online at www.jmwilkersonsince1874.com where you may view a video tribute online or at the funeral establishment.

George and I wish to offer our condolences to you and the entire family on the death of your loved one!
George said he will always remember when your George and Max was the "best" of friends. is Max still in Panama? George said he would love to see and talk with him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of my friend. Many years at Fort Lee were made better by working with such a good person. We shared many laughs as well as quality logistical decisions. GH was one of a kind. He will be missed by many.
