Charles West-Bey Obituary

Charles West-Bey Jr., CJ, age 20, 720 Hallwood Farm Drive, Richmond, departed this life unexpectedly Friday night, July 3, as a result of an automobile accident at the intersection of Merchant Hope Road and Sandy Ridge Road in Prince George County.

He was a native of Prince George and a graduate of Prince George High School Class of 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Earcell Ferguson, and was employed as an electrical apprentice with M.C. Dean Inc.

Surviving are: his father, Charles West-Bey Sr. and his stepmother, Belinda F. West-Bey, both of Texas; his grandmothers, Marguerite West-Bey and Mrs. Elizabeth Pettis of Prince George; one sister, Latoya West-Bey; a stepsister, Jessica Faulcon; three brothers, Shawn Ferguson, Demiah Coleman and Jorn West-Bey; three aunts, Reather West-Bey, Theresa Ferguson and Sabrina Bibb; three uncles, Renzellius West-Bey, James and Marvin Ferguson; a godmother, Debbie Alexander; a godbrother, Malik Alexander; a host of nieces, nephews, great-uncles and great- aunts, cousins and other relatives and many friends, among them, Justin Alston, Charles, Rashad and Minnie Winston.

A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, from the Chapel of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell. The Rev. Jackie Tucker will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Minnis Cemetery, Chester. The family will receive friends at the residence of his grandmother, Mrs. Marguerite-West-Bey, 2691 Forbes Drive, Prince George, phone 452-1455.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the staff of Turner-Bland Funeral Home, Hopewell, the Rev. William N. Bland Jr., funeral director.

Im at a lost for word when i found out youwere taken from Us.Cj will remain in our hearts and thoughts.His joke and how he would call me Momma.He is one of my Son's Jai'Quann Cotman dearest friends.He took timeout of hislife to visit my son(who is locked up).To call me to see if i was in need of anything him and Josh Christine.His kindness and joyfull laugh will be missed. I will alway remeber the ride he we took toi see Jai and how him and Josh woo-ed some female workers at McDonalds for free food. The Jokes he told and how he fell a sleep and was talking in his sleep. He was a greant young man and a even better friend to me and mY family.
